The game should be named Super Annoying Robo Mouse. It starts out aggravating from the very beginning where the menu screens requires a space bar key to advance then the next screen switches to mouse navigation and another screen requiring A and B keyboard buttons. The music is nice, but there is only a single looping track that cannot be turned off. The level design starts out promising, but then I quickly realized that all of the levels are the same thing – one large maze where the cheeses (keys to unlock the exit) are spread out around the whole level so the player has to navigate the entire maze anyway while avoiding the same obstacles over and over, which just becomes a very lengthy and linear path. I just used the right hand rule and followed that on every level. The boss fights are also repetitive and surprisingly easy compared to the rest of the game. The same strategy can be used to just walk along the edge of the room to collect the cheeses in each corner while bullet dodging and then exit from the center of the room. Even though I played through the entire game, I don’t recommend anyone else does this – even if it feels somewhat rewarding. It’s just too tedious and requires a robot to play through it. One with no emotion as it makes me want to throw something every time I am one pixel off attempting to avoid a trap, which restarts the entire level over again. Also, nothing happens at all upon completing the game. Nothing. It just takes the player back to the level select screen.
This review is really good and reflects my own thought about game: https://steamcommunity.com/id/aaronm32/recommended/798720/ There are no sounds, the traps are boring and game requires patience and some precision with slippery controls.... Music is one and is loopy. Graphics are not for my eye. Controls are so weird. Once you click with mouse, and then you need to press A or B on keyboard... why?
Super Robo Mouse is a top down 2D maze/puzzle/timing game where you control a robot "mouse" in a maze looking for robotic "cheese". Avoid obstacles like gun turrets and buzzsaws. Collect the required amount of robocheese then navigate to the exit to get to the next level. The game blasts you with an annoying synth/techno soundtrack while you look at repetiive simplistic graphics and navigate the mazes and obstacles. Touching anything bad resets your level progress completely, and the levels aren't that small, so that's annoying. The gameplay itself is super bland, it's a lot like watching BattleBots but there's only one robot up against the buzzsaws in the arena. It's just not fun. Also, there's no fullscreen mode which makes this game fall below minimum acceptable standard.
