Reminds me of OG hidden object games without all the adventure aspect/inventory and travel. It's straightforward, relaxing, good music - hidden object scenes that are just finding an object on the screen (not scrolling or interactive clicking) - and some other mini-puzzle/games that aren't too demanding or stressful. LIKED: -Having the jewels and hearts to find in each level -The flavor text/educational bits of text about each site -The mini-games; they were challenging but none too difficult HOG: -I liked the pictures and variety of scenes -I did a full playthrough, and all of the items were find-able -Nothing tricky and no punishment for wrong clicks -Hint button worked great the few times I tried it Other notes: -It was nice to have the magnifying glass but I didn't end up needing it -I liked that each HO puzzle had the sub-scene you could go in to for a few more items but once you find them all that little scene closed -I'm not sure how I feel about the in-game store feature. You can buy everything, so that was plus, but I kind of would have liked to see more with the store or just no store -The storyline and characters weren't really developed. They didn't detract from the game but in my opinion didn't add much to it. Thank you to the dev for the game!
I really enjoyed the game. It reminds me of the old school games I used to play on my uncles computer. It's the kind of game that you can play whenever and just relax.
With 1,500+ reviews, please consider following The Cpt Froggy Club Curator Page for plenty more!
Summer Adventurers: Mediterranean: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have you planned your next summer holidays yet? There are so many destinations on our beautiful planet that can make your decision difficult at times. Based on the 2024 – 2025 statistics, France is the most visited country in the world. Of course it is! We have beautiful ponds and amphibious species (like the Cpt Froggy) to admire. But if you are looking to sunbake and become a lobster, you might consider holidaying somewhere in southern Europe - the Mediterranean, perhaps? I knew that would tickle your fantasy, and the good news is that a family did it for us in Summer Adventurers: Mediterranean! Summer Adventurers: Mediterranean is a casual Hidden objects and puzzles game developed and self-published by Ivan Hadzic-Tancic on the 7th of March 2026 on the Steam Platform. The game consists of forty levels: twenty-seven hidden-object levels (find objects in images) and thirteen puzzle stages. You can decide to play with or without a ten-minute countdown. You might need ten minutes to complete a few of the puzzles, but the hidden-object stages will be done in under four minutes. The hidden object levels are well presented with real photographs. I particularly like the fact that you have a smaller image containing up to five objects to the left of the screen. In each stage, three of the five objects will appear in a rectangle; you have to swap between the two images a few times. In the main picture, you always have three gems and hearts to find - they are mostly easy to spot. It will take you a few minutes to scan and find all the other objects in the pictures. In terms of difficulty, I would say it was mostly easy, with a few average objects per picture. If you have some difficulty finding an object, you can use the hint button. The magnifying glass feature is good for zooming in on the images if need be. On the puzzles side, you'll have some jigsaw puzzles, memory games, spot the differences, rotating tiles and a match-3 game. All of them have real photos, which is nice, and most of them are good, except for the match-3 game, which is not smooth at all! I found a couple of issues with this game; firstly, and this is me being picky, but it was disappointing to see the Naples image with unaligned columns, because all the other images were great. And second, the menu for the levels’ progress feels like a botch job, with fuzzy models put in along the path from levels one to forty, and no real pictures. Why? But, for the asking price, it's not bad at all. Positives: ~~~~~~~ + Hidden object and puzzle stages with real pictures + 40 levels in total + Play with or without a timer + Good price point Negatives: ~~~~~~~~ - Clunky match-3 mini game - Disappointing menu where levels are displayed with no real pictures - Short game with no replayability - No achievements - No trading cards as yet Summer Adventurers: Mediterranean is a short hidden-object and puzzle game featuring real pictures. A few minor details decreased my gaming experience! 6/10 Note: Key provided by the developer/publisher through my Steam Curator groups for review purposes. Any opinions expressed are entirely my own!
This is the kind of game you load up for “just one level” and then suddenly you’re 3 areas deep, hunting a band-aid in the sky and judging yourself for missing a giant obvious object. Super relaxing, colourful, and weirdly rewarding once your eyes adjust to the chaos. The stages are fun, the little puzzle breaks keep it fresh, and the whole thing has a nice chill holiday vibe. Easy game to unwind with after a long day. 9/10 Binoculars. https://youtu.be/EXqtSWyC1fw
I don't mind an easy, quick mindless HO game from time to time.....I've played plenty. But this game is REALLY EASY and REALLY QUICK. It only has 40 HO scenes with a quick mini game thrown in about every 3rd level. 2 or 3 of the mini games are where you have to pair items that are in a clutter and the hit zone is not accurate at all. I could only recommend this game on a deep sale and only for young children,
The game takes you through 40 stages that must be completed in order, though you can always replay any of them later through a simple and easy-to-use map screen. The whole adventure is themed around cities across the Mediterranean, with every stage opening with a short fact about the city you’re visiting. Each level itself is built around a photograph of one of that city’s famous landmarks, which gives the game a nice travel-journal atmosphere. Gameplay stays relaxed and never buries you under annoying restrictions. You can click freely anywhere on the screen, and there’s even a relaxed mode that disables the timer completely. Even with the timer enabled, though, it’s generous enough that finishing scenes rarely feels stressful. The mechanics will feel familiar to fans of classic hidden-object games. Objects are scattered across detailed scenes, sometimes placed logically and other times tucked into spots that are a bit of a stretch. Still, the amount of clutter is restrained compared to many games in the genre. The screens never feel like an explosion of random items thrown into impossible locations. Each scene sticks to the traditional hidden-object format. Words appear on a list at the bottom of the screen, and you need to find the matching items in the environment. Only six words can appear at once, even though a stage usually contains around 18 objects in total, so every time you find one item, another immediately replaces it on the list. One detail is that items won’t register if you click them before their word appears, even if you know that you’ll have to find them eventually. Most items are hidden in the main scene, but each level also contains three objects tucked away in a smaller secondary area accessed through a circle beside the word list. Since all words are displayed in the same style, you never know whether an item belongs to the main scene or the smaller one until you find it. Once all objects in the smaller scene are collected, that section becomes inactive. Completing a stage rewards you with a clean, uncluttered photograph added to your album. Although the game allows you to click freely, precision still matters if you want to earn all three stars in a stage. Every level also contains three hidden hearts and three gems that boost your score even further. Points are converted into money that can be spent on souvenirs in the in-game gift shop. Hints are available too for tracking down those stubborn objects you just can’t spot. After every two hidden-object stages, the game switches things up with a puzzle level. These sections don’t award stars, so precision is less important and the goal is simply to complete them. The puzzles are standard genre fare, including jigsaws, placing pieces into correct positions, memory games, and similar activities. You can skip puzzle stages entirely, though doing so leaves the level without a checkmark, which might bother completionists aiming for a perfect run. The entire game can comfortably be finished in a single session of around two hours. It’s a smooth experience overall, with no major bugs encountered. The only genuinely annoying issue is a design choice involving stage scores. The game doesn’t preserve your best result, so if you replay a level after earning three stars and later perform worse, your lower score overwrites the previous one. There’s also an annoying magnifying glass, which isn’t tied to a right mouse button, but has to be activated by clicking on it.

It's a hidden picture game it's fine. What's missing, is details on progression. Are we unlocking for points, completion stars or what? What is the trigger that unlocks the next stages cause I'm stuck at level 15 I've got 90 minutes in the game, all 12 or 13 actual hidden picture maps are 100% and I still can't open level 16. But there's nothing telling me why that might be. What's the point of buying objects? What's the point of collecting the heart and diamond? The circle in the bottom left of the object area, is apart of the map to find things, but there's nothing that tells you that. There are mini-games which are enjoyable, but also short lived. I posted days ago on the discussion about my progression issue, it's been several days and my question goes unanswered. With 3 discussion topics as a whole, two of which are mine I'd expect some kind of poke in by the developer. ... I refunded the game, it's got maybe 30 minutes of actual content. I wish the developer luck *edit: the dev responded and addressed the bug I took the most issue with but everything else is still accurate as of this update. Because of the effort the dev went through to resolve my issue and address my posts, I'll turn this into a positive review because the game really is fun and relaxing and enjoyable.*
i played this in relax version and i totally enjoyed myself...i actually lost track of time i was so lost in the game....the graphics are great just need a way more then just the magnifying glass for those of us with eye sight issues...other wise get it worth it
Wow, this game was very much what I needed this week. It was so chill. There's a small little story with the family traveling as you enter each scene, but nothing too overbearing. The hidden object puzzles are well done. I enjoyed finding my hearts and gems. The brain break puzzles in-between were also very fantastic. Glad I ended up finding this one. I did the timed version. While I felt rushed by myself, it didn't feel too tight on the puzzles. The magnifying glass is so appreciated! My tired eyes struggle sometimes so it was refreshing to have that feature.
