Compared to other games in the genre, the focus isn't on challenging puzzles, although a few can be found. This game is more of a story-driven experience with several player choices made through dialogue and actions. In classic point-and-click fashion, you'll encounter many quirky characters who are both helpful and annoying. Accompany the priest through his days there and help him with the tasks assigned to him by his predecessor. Things like listening to other people's stories will lead to moral dilemmas. Not just a simple good or bad answer. [Developer] A visual novel in comic book form. The depictions are massively exaggerated and a mixture of blasphemy and madness. You have a short daily routine with many conversations. That's basically it. A very intense story awaits you, one that is not for the faint of heart. The execution is open to debate, but it's certain that the developer has chosen a rather extreme form of presentation, especially in the text. If you're open to delving into the depths of human behavior in closed societies, then this is a unique recommendation and an opportunity for reflection. With its minimum 2.5-hour playtime, this game is probably not suitable for most people. However, I highly recommend it. Dort muss er sich über den Zeitraum einer Woche mit diesem Dorf auseinandersetzen und dessen Geheimnisse aufdecken. Erkunden Sie die Kirche und unterhalten Sie sich mit allen möglichen NPCs, hören Sie sich ihre Sünden an und geben Sie ihnen Tipps. Im Vergleich zu anderen Spielen des Genres liegt der Fokus nicht auf anspruchsvollen Rätseln, wobei ein wenige davon auch finden. Dieses Spiel ist eher eine Story-Erfahrung mit einigen Entscheidungen des Spielers, die sowohl im Dialog als auch in den Aktionen getroffen werden. [Entwickler] Ein Visual Novel als Comic, Die Darstellungen sind massiv überzogen dargestellt und eine Mischung aus Blasphemie und Wahnsinn. Du hast ein kurzen Tagesablauf mit vielen Gesprächen. Das war es eigentlich schon. Eine sehr intensive Geschichte erwartet dich, die nicht für zartfühlende Gemüter geeignet ist. Die Umsetzung kann man kontrovers Diskutieren, sicher ist jedoch das der Entwickler eine ziemlich krasse Form der Darstellung, insbesondere aber der Texte gewählt hat. Wenn du offen bist mal rein zu schauen in die Abgründe menschlicher Verhaltensweisen geschlossener Gesellschaften dann ist dies hier ein einmaliger Tipp und eine Gelegenheit zum Nachdenken. Für die allermeisten dürfte dieses Game mit seinen mindestens 2,5 Stunden Spielzeit nicht geeignet sein. Mir ist es aber eine Empfehlung Wert. So far I am honestly enjoying this very much. It is fully voiced! I love the art style and the way the characters move and talk really cracks me up. So far, it is an irreverent point and click with what appears to be very macabre leanings, although I expect that I have not really scratched the surface of the vaunted "horror" aspects in this game as yet. Playtime at time of review is a little less than an hour. Delightful so far!!

Trotz kurzer Spielzeit kommt man auf seine Kosten, wenn man makaberen Humor und abgedrehten Inhalt mag. Es gibt verschiedene Story-Enden und verpasste Gelegenheiten, wodurch sich mehrfaches Durchspielen lohnt.

This game is...weird. Don't expect some light fun point and click adventure with difficult puzzles. You basically go through the life of a substitute priest for a week, where you can expect very "difficult" puzzles like opening the door in the mornings and lock up in the evening or put gasoline in an abandoned car. Furthermore you have to listen to endless confessions, and deal with a construction worker but instead of finding a battery for said car, and you think you need to get something from the construction worker, no instead you lock up for the night with the construction worker still inside, where is the logic in that? That combined with some very obscure achievements with no descriptions, well good luck.. I would not even recommend it on a sale, watching an icecube melt is even less boring. 3/10.

Not usually a big fan of point and clicks but I really enjoyed this game, got the game bought for me while having no clue what it was and i think it made the entire experience very entertaining. Love the art style and humor and trying to find all the different endings was also fun while not being too cryptic. Definitely recommend either playing completely blind with friends to watch or buying it for someone else and make them do the same thing

great game! scary, funny, interesting. it is fun to go for all the endings because the game hints towards the other endings. the achievements were fun to get. good story. good characters.

A stunning game with much possibilities. There are funny eastereggs, if you know the places in real life. Some thoughts are deep, but they are always creepy. I love the gamedesign and try to reach the other endings

Hello to all point and click gamers, horror fans and lovers of great games. Just yesterday I've seen a short video about this game on Tiktok, today I finished my first run. I have lots of things to praise, but if you just wanna know if it's worth playing, the answer is yes. I'm big into old indie and point & click games. I also love horror and interesting art styles. My interest was peaked the second I saw this game, especially because it reminded me (and many others) of the Edna and Harvey games. I do wanna say that I didn't want to spoil myself too much and went in pretty much blind, other than a few seconds of that tiktok I've seen. And it was worth it. Not really what I've expected but somehow even better than I ever could have imagined. The rest of this review will contain some spoilers, so read with caution! You play as a, as the game says, substitute priest. First arriving in this small and kinda weird village. Everything seems fairly normal at first. The people are nice, the church looks STUNNING and you're just walking around a bit, looking at everything. You meet the current priest, who leaves you a note explaining what you have to do at the church. And the keys to the church. The priest seems a bit weird, but not so weird that you'd be concerned. Yet. You start your first day after going to sleep. Listening to people confessing their sins, reading the daily news paper and so on. I really like the journalist you can talk to! And the builder who will join you on Tuesday. Things get really odd really fast. And really creepy. People are cold blooded murderers and honestly just weirdos in this town. (Like cmon bro, don't eat hair, that's pretty gross!) And you've got to talk to them in the confessionary, as a good priest does. Oh and don't forget the kind demon who talks to you, the player, at night! That's as far as I wanna go with describing the plot. And tbh I loved every second of my gameplay!!! I am big into churches/the bible and angles specifically are my special interest. So seeing the statue WHICH CHANGES OVER TIME was sooo cool to me omg. 10/10 I absoulutely love the artstyle. I love the wall in the church that has the pretty windows on it. Gives it a spacey feeling. The character designs are top tier as well. I love them!! Very German, in the good (Dirndl Madls) and in the bad (uhmm no idea if I am allowed to say that word on Steam) way. The voice acting is great as well, one of the voice actors straight up sounds like CDawgVA???? I played the game in english but will replay in German as well (I am German, hello). I also love the rotting "Jesus" on the cross. When I first saw it I went "Is that a actual corpse??? That would be such a twist!" And then EVERYTHING in this game was a twist. Oh and the fourth wall break?? YOU CAN TELL THE MC THAT YOU ARE GOD??? I didn't do that, I explained that this is a game hehe. God, this is definetly my new obsession. I want more. I NEED more!! I really liked the short moments in which you played other characters as well! Also seeing the corpse in the bushes but your character not being able to see it and getting an achievement for seeing something the MC can't? SO FRICKING COOL!!! AHHHH Uhm yes, need more of this. Please make a whole game series idk, or a new game. I will devour any content of this. Big big recommend. Play it nooooow!!!!
