TLDR: if you just want gameplay (full gameplay 1.5 Hours) then there is a video below the review. Ignore my playtime, I left the game open while I uploaded the video. I am split on whether or not to recommend this game. I truly enjoyed playing the game, however....the do not recommend reason being one major issue: You can softlock your save file. If you save after finishing a section, such as the ticket machine in the first subway portion, and save the game before going to the next area you will have soft-locked your save. This is caused by the game repeating the intro "find the computer" and preventing you from interacting with anything because you've already cleared the puzzles! Take my advice, full caps: ONLY SAVE AT THE START OF A SECTION, NEVER SAVE AFTER FINISHING PUZZLES BEFORE EXITING THE AREA Aside from that glaring issue, I actually had a good time playing the game. I'd venture to say 95% of the puzzles are relatively straight forward as long as you have a keen eye and don't get caught up overthinking things. The ambiance is lovely as you are a detective finding a hacker group to prevent something bad happening and it seems like the hackers set up little tricks (the puzzles) to prevent people from getting close to them. At least thematically it fits as to why you're solving puzzles randomly out in the wild. If not for that massive softlock bug I would highly recommend the game. The developer seems to release these on a frequent cycle every few months, so if you enjoy this game you most likely would like the other ones in the series. They all have the same softlock issue though, so buyer beware. Conclusion I'd still recommend the game as long as you keep that bug in mind, while probably a bit overpriced for the simplicity of the puzzles I still very much enjoyed the game. For me it was absolutely unbeatable without a walkthrough. The clues are nonsensical and though they make some sense in hindsight, they mostly have no indication as to where to use a clue you find, or where to find a clue to the puzzle you are encountering. Even the ones I got first time were just obscure and I got a feeling of "Wow, this was stupid!" rather than "I'm a freaking genius!", which should be what every puzzle game should strive to achieve. It somehow managed the impossible task of making you feel "I give up, there is absolutely nothing to do anymore" and "This puzzle is too basic and mundane" about the same exact puzzle. The 7,91€ I paid for it are 9€ too much imo. I know this was a single developer, but believe me, I'm still cutting the game a lot of slack. That's why I'm not even gonna comment on the UI or the graphics or the random invisible walls and invisible things to get stuck on. Just the puzzles, and the puzzles are bad.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. This is not a typical escape room which can be done in 30 minutes with minimal thought. This game had some puzzles which took significant thought to get past. I did run into a couple of glitches within the game, but nothing game-breaking here. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys 3D escape room adventures,
Found this pretty fun. I had to look at a play-through to figure out a few puzzles I didn't understand, but aside from that it was pretty straight forward. For a game of this size, i really don't have much to complain about. Game Walk-through: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02goxRl8th0 I recommend checking out this play-through if you get stuck. 8.5/10
a nice short escape room puzzle game. it is very straight forward and simple apart from a few puzzles with numbers. it is kinda rough around the edges with some graphical errors but it doesn't effect the game play at all. overall i recommend it on sale as you can beat it in around one and half hour or a bit more if you want the oops achievement.
Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this!
I'm only a few levels into this escape room game, but I've decided to call it quits because I've encountered several puzzles that are some of the worst I've ever seen. Spoilers follow: • In the very first puzzle of the game, the game prompts you with the clue "26672??" and you're supposed to figure out that the last two digits. The solution is "66" because the digits repeat. There is NO indication anywhere that this is the case. No clues about repetition, no mention of copy+paste, nothing in the environment that would indicate something being cloned, literally absolutely nothing. You're just supposed to guess it from nothing. The repeated digits aren't even fully repeated, they're missing the last digit. Absolutely terrible. • The next puzzle involves guessing a 4-digit key given a sliding mechanism and two numbers. There's at least 5 reasonable solutions, and the "correct" solution is the least reasonable among them. • Another puzzle is a laptop that needs a number to unlock. There is a picture nearby of a bunch of lines intersecting. The solution is to count the number of triangles (including larger triangles are made up of smaller ones) in the picture. There is no indication of this anywhere; you're once again just supposed to guess it from nothing. At this point I stopped playing. These puzzles need some major, MAJOR playtesting first.
puzzle solutions are quite abstract
I was able to play the game about 2/3 (based on walkthrough series), until I saved the game, and quit for a day. After starting the game again, I was not able to load the save again, nor even start a new one. The game is stuck on a black loading screen.
I started playing the game when it was released, and played until midnight. Now I am stuck on the penultimate level. The more I think about it, the more angry I am, so I will give a bad review first. The first two levels were fine, but when I entered the third level, I was stuck for an hour just after entering the subway, because of the password door with no prompts! (Do you think the note of area 903-304, which was closed from March to April, is a reminder?) And the rest of the interactive things are not helpful for the decryption of this door. If you want to advance the process, you must solve this door. The password to the door, but I can't figure it out! Didn't see any useful tips at all! Do the people in your production team know how many people are stuck in this level! Do you see how many people have completed this achievement? Of course, I have already cleared this level, and I have almost played the following levels, but do you know that this damn door was opened only after I entered the password 599 times using the exhaustive method! The decryption you made reminds me of the feeling when I was writing my thesis, I held back for two hours and couldn't write a single word! I thought it was just a coincidence, but I got stuck on the penultimate level. A five-digit password door, you have given four colors of numbers on the wall, but where does the rest of the number go? Of course, it doesn't matter, I can use the exhaustive method to try one by one, but the problem is that I have already entered all the qualified passwords I can think of, and it is useless at all! I've checked that the numbers are in order, but the door just won't open! All other items that can be interacted with are locked, do you want me to really use the exhaustive method to try one by one? The previous one had only three digits, but this is a five-digit password! I admit that I can't keep up with the thinking of your production team, and I will give a good review after clearing the customs.
