Better than HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED™. Shame on you HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED™ that a 5 eur game is better and more fun than you.™
This game is helping me get through the passing of a loved one. I'm being completely serious when I say this has helped me laugh again. Will be buying the sequel on day 1.
Simplistic, on rails arcade racing game with lots of explosions. It's pure fun, lots of cool moments, cinematic slowdowns. Controls are simple with accelerate forward, reverse and quite an agile tilt mechanic that allows the car to do flips or position it to land correctly. There is some steering done in some levels, but that's on rails, fully automatic, not done by the player. Any fail during a level, landing upside down, not managing the speed correctly will have you start from the beginning, there are no checkpoints, but the levels are short enough that this isn't a big problem. Level balance isn't linear with some levels feeling easier or harder regardless of their level number. Some levels can be completed by fully accelerating and tilting the car correctly, with all the ramps and explosions leading you to the satisfying finish line. There are stars that provide an additional challenge for completing a level and also a coin currency to buy other cars that are purely cosmetic. For achievement hunters: Complete all 50 levels.
Not feeling this. All the exciting over the top summer blockbuster The Fast and the Furious action happens automatically while you are holding down W. it only requires minimal trial and error and relies too much on scripted sequences, the game made me think of those Trackmania tracks that play themselves. On the positive side, the game is not at all effortless and lazy, the opposite really. It does take some amount of effort to design tracks that play reliably well, but the problem is that they took almost all the challenge by themselves leaving too little to the players. I still very much prefer their Zombie derby games, in those at least I felt like I was doing something. You could actually feel the progress. In this, not much. Cars drive the same, tracks feel about the same even with the change in gimmicks and environment every other stage or so. Hardly recommendable.
Občas těžký ale jde to dohrát :) :D
This game, like many others, proves that you don't need overcomplicated mechanics or amazing graphics to be good, it's a simple, short and fairly challenging game (especially later on) that is fun, and honestly for this price I couldn't have asked for more, you'd think people have gotten bored of games of this formula by now but I really like how intuitive some of these "solutions" to the levels are, and the cinematic vibes the "cut scenes" give in this game feel like over the top action movies which is great!
Pretty nice game if you just want the occasional quick fun game where you switch your brain off, early levels are pretty fun, later levels however become a game of exact timing for jumping/navigating insta kill traps which isnt as fun, parts of the game feel too "on the rails", completed all 50 levels in a total of 3+ hours over several days, still have about 3-4 cars to unlock, shame the cars are just eye candy, no individual car stats, none are unique in speed/handling/spinning/etc so theres no real reason to unlock anything except the single car you prefer the look of. Even with its downsides i still enjoyed the game, kinda reminds me of a super modern version of the old C64 game "Kickstart 2", a custom track/level editor would have been icing on the cake so you had more to do to do after level 50.
This game is kickass! It’s Trials HD except with cars instead of motorcycles. Unlike Trials there is no timer or check points, so pedal to the metal isn’t always the best approach. Starts off simple but the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly. The levels are beautiful and insane. It’s a game that makes you feel like a badass without really trying. If you enjoyed the Trials games this one is a must-play. It’s a perfect steam deck game, great for 5 minute “pick up and play” sessions
意外发现的有意思的开车小游戏,对低配置电脑友好,对手残友好,通关就全成就。
I might be too cynical but this feels just like mobile game slop to me. It's Trials but requires only the bare minimum of engagement while maximizing the high octane visual feedback. It looks genuinely great but feels as hollow as its generic royalty free sounding soundtrack. Each level is a little dopamine nugget asking barely anything in return for another kick. Push the button get a shot and repeat, another Skinner box of a game, an interactive short videos feed type of experience. To some that's a good thing, but I certainly want more out of my entertainment than these hollow mind numbing kicks.
