It’s super fun, super chill and the deeper you get the more stuff it keeps throwing at you. Controls feel great right awa, no friction, no fighting the game, just smooth and intuitive. At its core, it’s all about figuring out the most efficient way to place your tiles. So, it’s basically a puzzle game but in 3D, with really slick visuals and a calm, almost meditative vibe. If you’re into laid-back games that still make your brain work a bit, this one absolutely hits
I really respect indie devs who put this much care and attention to detail into their game I can easily recommend this to anyone it looks great the music is really nice and not annoying and the gameplay loop is actually fun to stick with Everything feels polished which you dont always see in indie games overall. just a really solid game with a lot going for it

Nice little puzzler by a solo dev. Congratulations! Not difficult to learn, but multiple point scoring options give it a good amount of depths. You can develop a strategy for maximizing points ... or you can just build pretty landscapes. Unlike in Dorfromantik, in which the rules are more straight to the point and less forgiving in regards of running out of tiles, Everdawn's tile count is hard to run down to zero. You'd really have to try to not succeed here. In this regard, the game is more like Panorama, although Panorama looks more polished. In addition to the classic mode, there's also an adventure mode where every now and then a catastrophe strikes your board and tiles that you already laid are wiped out and you can rebuild. There's a challenge mode where you play against set difficulties, quick mode for those that don't have much time, hard mode for those that want a real challenge, and sandbox mode for those that want to be creative (although the only difference between sandbox and classic mode seems to be that sandbox has no tile count, and as I've said, it's not hard to keep your tile count well stocked). And FYI, at the time of writing this I have only played adventure and classic mode so far. Like all puzzlers this one can become a little stale after some time, because the game kind of forces you to grow huge areas of the same type of tile. You need to set yourself your own challenges in classic mode, or focus on building a more diverse map on purpose. But then again, the same is true for Dorfromantik if you can grow your map to the point where you'll never run out of tiles again and all that's left is chasing highscores. And I have literally 100s of hours of playtime for Dorfromantik, so I really shouldn't complain. Also, the music, while alright, can be a bit much sometimes. It's just too ... present for my liking. But you can always turn it off, of course. My suggestion is, if you don't have any of these three games: - get Dorfromantik if you want the game that defined the genre and you enjoy a bit of a puzzle challenge. - get Panorama if you want a game with no fuss and no challenge that just looks really pretty, because you enjoy building beautiful landscapes. - get Everdawn if you enjoy a variety of game modes and you like to be challenged one day and take it easy another day. If you have already played either Panorama or Dorfromantik, chances are you will like Everdawn as well. And if you're still on the fence, there's a free demo you can check out. (Why is it not mentioned on the full game page, by the way? Or am I just blind?)
This is a really relaxing strategy game. It doesn’t fall into the usual trap of becoming repetitive like similar games mainly because the quests and challenges keep each run feeling different. It has a nice flow to it that makes it easy to pick up. And the Michis are so cute. wtf. (if you love collecting cute little things, this is it) There’s a surprising amount of content here, with multiple game modes and a lot of small details that show how much care went into it. Especially the challenge mode keeps things interesting and adds some extra depth. My only issues was some of the text being kinda small sometimes but it's not too bad. Overall, I’m having a great time with it and will definitely keep playing. Very impressive for a solo dev game!
Did I have a great time with it? Yeah, absolutely. Did I like the game? Yeah no question. Is it worth the money? Every single penny.
A chill and relaxing game that still requires some thinking to optimize your score. I think everyone can find something they enjoy thanks to the different game modes. For those looking for a real challenge, there’s a dedicated challenge mode with several tough objectives, as well as a hard mode. Otherwise, you can wander in quick or classic mode, or let your mind create a landscape in creative mode, a kind of sandbox experience. You unlock things fairly quickly, although there seem to be a lot of elements to unlock, which promises real variety in the tiles. A refreshing take on cozy games.
I like how those little worlds emerge from simple tiles. The controls are polished and the game is soothing with a great music. The creative mode is really chill. There are a lot of unlockable content, biomes and tiles with multiple game modes.
Can be played with 1 hand and activates my tism 10/10
Similar to games like Dorfromantik or Pan'orama, but it has its own unique mechanics that makes the game feel different but still familiar to players who enjoy tiled puzzles games. Decent amount of things to collect and to unlock. Overall, a good puzzle game that makes for a chill experience.
This is a really great, well-thought-out game. I sit down just to try it for a little bit. Next thing I know, BOOM... 4 hours gone. What I really like is the variety of tiles. There’s always something new, keeps it interesting. And when you hit those multipliers with the right tile? Oh man, that feels so good. Very satisfying, like you did something smart :D
