Fight, sneak, and hack your way through randomly generated cities. It's like Nuclear Throne meets Deus Ex, mixed with the anarchy of GTA. Rogue-lite meets immersive sim, and goes completely insane.

About
Streets of Rogue is a rogue-lite about player choice, freedom, and anarchic fun. The game takes inspiration from fast-paced top-down rogue-lites like Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne, and adds free-form, experimentation-driven, emergent gameplay elements of RPGs like Deus Ex.
Rather than taking place in a dungeon, the game is set in a functioning, procedurally generated city, where complex AI informs denizens from all walks of life, who are just trying to get by in their daily activities.
In order to progress, the player will need to accomplish specific mission goals in any way they see fit through use of their special character traits, items, and the environment.
Will you play as a soldier who shoots first and asks questions later?
A stealthy doctor who uses chloroform and tranquilizer darts to silently take down the opposition?
A genial bartender who can talk his way past the most intimidating of guards?
Or how about a hyper-intelligent gorilla, rescuing other caged gorillas to form a small mobilized gorilla army?
The Mighty Feature-List
Play the game YOUR way! Don’t want to kill anybody? That’s cool! Want to hack computers? Got ya covered!

❗ For the English version, please scroll down. 10 ___ Streets of Rogue manages to pack complex immersive sim mechanics into a fast-paced top-down roguelite format with surprising agility. Essentially, it is a full-blown immersive sim, just without the verticality — and that is its greatest strength. It offers more than just a collection of levels; it’s a living system with clear rules that reacts to the player and forces you to adapt. The developer’s main tool here is the class system. These don't just tweak stats; they shift the game's entire genre. A run as a Soldier turns into a shooter; play as a Doctor, and it becomes a hardcore stealth game focused on pacifism; choose the Slum Dweller, and you’re playing a simulator about solving problems using whatever you find in the nearest dumpster. This variety is exactly what keeps you coming back. You are constantly experimenting: hacking ventilation systems, tricking cops into fighting gangsters, or just taking a sledgehammer to a wall. For the first twenty hours, the freedom feels absolute, and the RNG seems to churn out endless fun. However, once you’ve clocked enough hours, you start to see the boundaries of that freedom, and this is exactly where the game stops just short of perfection. The issue lies in the mission design and the locations where they take place. While you are out on the streets, the game generates a staggering amount of hilarious situations: pedestrians fighting, thieves snatching loot and running from shopkeepers, global events triggering chaos. But the moment an objective requires you to go indoors, the magic starts to fade. Too often, the quest location is literally a metal bunker — an isolated box with a predictable layout and reinforced walls that are almost impossible to breach. Inside these spaces, you are cut off from the level’s ecosystem. You can’t weaponize the chaos of the outside world. Improvisation is replaced by routine: the same cameras, turrets, and lasers in the Slums; the same flamethrowers and conveyor belts in the Factory. The potential for systemic interaction collapses into a primitive algorithm: "find generator, disable security." In a single full run with any class, you will see pretty much every obstacle the game has to offer in these closed zones. As for the story, visuals, and technical side, there isn't much to say. The plot is basically non-existent — just a collection of humorous references capped off by the ultimate goal of becoming Mayor by any means necessary. The graphics are simple but stylish, serving the gameplay perfectly well. The music isn’t a masterpiece, but it sets the right tempo (especially the tracks during global events) and offers decent variety. Technically, it’s solid. Sure, there are bugs — it is an immersive sim, after all — but nothing critical, and the game runs well even on potato PCs. Streets of Rogue is a magnificent sandbox that offers a unique experience and manages to surprise you every time you pick a new character. It’s just a shame that the most critical moments — the mandatory missions you need to complete to progress — often end up being the most predictable and dull parts of an otherwise brilliantly chaotic living city. 9/10

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.17/day in the week to Aug 5 → 2.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Streets of Rogue is one of those rare games where the chaos never gets old — I've lost count of how many times a routine mission spiraled into an all-out war between cops, mobsters, and gorillas that I somehow started by accident. The sheer variety of characters and playstyles means every run feels genuinely different, whether you're bribing your way to the top as a sleazy politician or zombifying an entire district. It can feel a bit repetitive once you've seen most of what it has to offer, and the melee combat is admittedly clunky, but the sandbox freedom more than makes up for it. If you enjoy games that reward creativity and let you cause delightful mayhem, this is absolutely worth picking up — especially on sale.
Very addicting game that's a little rough around the edges, but not so much so that I can't enjoy this game and but nearly 100 hours into. The Good: This game has variety and replay-ability in mind and it succeeds at that! There are a whole bunch of characters/classes that all offer a unique way to tackle the objective-based missions on every map. The core gameplay loop of Streets of Rogue allows the player lots of flexibility and creativity to determine how they want to tackle a certain objective. Obviously, certain characters are better handled to certain jobs and/or ways of handling missions. The Frustrating: This game can feel like walking on egg shells sometimes. What I mean by that is there rarely feels like there's any security in your build and what you're doing. You can be having a great run, but then all of a sudden a room of people turn on you and gun you down because the game decided it would be funny. Combat is clunky, which is weird because you fight stuff a LOT in this game. Melee combat is basically just flailing your arms at the enemy and hope you hit them before they hit you and gun combat can have a mind of its own with how bullets like to lock onto targets that were more than likely not the one you had intended on hitting. Also if you're getting shot at from more than one direction, you're already dead if you don't have some way to mitigate the knockback caused from being hit.

pretty infinitely replayable roguelike, all the different characters you can play as add an insane amount of variety, each character having their own unique style of play. highly recommended, should be miles more popular than it actually is
I nearly missed this total banger for good. Really just bought it out of boredom during some steam fest annd bc i saw it on sale and watched a few yt clips. Its more or less one of those games. The kind you might want to bring to a lonely island. The kind that keeps on coming up with things you just didnt expect. And once you think youve seen it all, you realize once again that you aint seen nothing yet. The GFX might not be everyones cup of tea obv. Others grew up with this. And now might wish that games had been like that back in the days. Sure, some things could ofc. have been done better. Same as in ever single other game. But at the end of the day? You get one hell of a bang for your hard earned bucks. MY favorite feature so far is, that i get to play different games within just one game. From a certain POV at least. And yes, many other games do that too. You can play a totally peaceful run just trying to stay alive and keep everyone ok. Or you can turn into a monster and roflstomp the whole place for shizz'n'giggles. And idc who you are, and wether or not you are into games at all, or "this kind" of games. This is not something you would want to miss at least checking out. GL and HF
