Calling this a fighting game is a scam. I got to diamond 3 without much effort after like 2 weeks, if you have 2 working brain cells and can learn if you learn controls without any combos, you too will reach it in a week? Week and a half if you are complete beginner. This one particularly is over reliant on grappling, half the time when you are close to someone it is pure guesswork if someone is going to use their special, grapple you or quick attack you into a combo. There is no skill involvement into that other than gambling. Every start of a match is also pure guesswork, you can pre charge moves in loading screen so they fire instantly, even those that you must hold or special ones. Bad guess best situation you end up on defence worse you get combo into your face. On one hand combos in this game are not that long and they only take around 30-40% of your max hp but on the other hand if you get hit you can't do anything to break out, it's purely on enemy to either finish combo or drop it, even if they finish in most situations you will end up at the wall of the arena where you have to do more guess work what enemy will do because grapple is strong, and instant. They can either, grapple, quick attack, jump quick attack, super, drive impact(if you are out of energy) Matches are basically attacking rush, neutral happens rarely. Like most "fighting games" calling this a fighting game is a scam, it is a piano simulator where it matters more if you can perform a combo is way more important than ability to fight. Half of the fight is guesswork, there are some feints, but they are used only on the highest of highest levels if at all. There is almost no strategy, if you get hit you get combo, there is no dodges, you can block but you get punished for. The only reason I have it installed is because some of my friends enjoy playing piano games so I go 1 v 1 against them if I feel like it.

I have never played a street fighter game before this and I had super high expectations, since its you know, street fighter. After playing this game its clear to me that it was a waste of 20$. This game would be better if it was just gulity gear lmao. Drive Impact is a trash mechanic, no block while jumping, zoner type characters and other characters have the same normals, characters arent that unique, etc. I am very disappointed tbh, just gonna go back to arcsys since they ACTUALLY know how to make good fighting games :sob:. If you are looking to get into a fighting game play this if you like scrub games, if you want to play an actual good fighting game check out the blazblue or gg series.
Good game, having fun playing it.
