Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To The End of All Wars.

Grand strategy where you take the part of the central powers or the allies, simple to play but challenging to win and come up with good strategies. A must have if you have strategic command classic World War 2; a much larger map with more units, it plays quite differently with trench warfare, airships and very few tanks. It takes longer to play (a least a solid day). Heaps of very interesting pop ups, decisions the player makes and history.
this is a wonderful game! I picked it up thinking it was going to be a lackluster grand strategy, but turns out it has much better graphics and flavor than my previous favorite, Commander the Great War. Every city is illustrated, and the unit graphics are attractive, which I hardly expected. Don't be deceived by the nato type units in the trailer; the graphics are just right. The youtubes don't really show how pretty the game is. It took awhile to figure out the mechanics since there doesn't seem to be a tutorial, but once you right click and bring up the sidebar menus it works smoothly. I'm only up to the beginning of 14 September; there's a lot to do, but I expect to spend many, many hours with this lovingly researched game.
First,It is a great game..But as for right now.. SC-WW2, if you can switch it over to the " *community pack " IT adds more flavor to the game, and switch it to the NATO symbols is FANTASTIC , it gives a map a MUCH clearer aspect of just making it easier on your eyes. *All of which is FREE... But, now on this game SC-Classic WW1,of which i got it on sale.. Did work for me...But,for the Breakthrough would not load... But, as for now BOTH games 1917-1918 and Breakthrough...Is NOT working something with the "setting" ...ERROR : This game req. a display setting with at least 16-bit color. Please check the Control Panel -> Display Option....I have TRIED w/Steam to get a refund, but, I surpasses the 2hr limit...So now am stuck with trying to find a way to fix this...When I launch it..the game opens with a splash guard but the game does not open...still trying to get it to work...Help anyone...lol.
Countless hours of gameplay, comes with the expansion included. I have 200+ hours and still have several scenarios to play. Contains historical events, decisions and generals that you can replace whenever you want. The game plays out great, its absolutely my favorite game about WW1. The only downside are the outdated graphics. Other than that the game is excellent.
Really time consuming, 1 main campaign took me around 14 hours.
Not good. Map is terrible.
Play the game once and now it won't start. Don't buy.
The game cheats, it's as simple as that. It's blatant, too. Something like an artillery unit can be miles away from any of it's support, completely surrounded and the combined beating of up to 8 full infantry divisions has almost no effect. Not "once or twice for super units". Constantly, for every unit. And in spite of being completely surrounded? If you don't somehow manage to completely destroy it in a single turn, it will magically restock and get replacements, so you have to start all over next turn... tying up way too many units and resources way too long. This seems to be a recurring theme with this series... in the WWII game I had to beat on a Japanese unit that sneaked into Anchorage, Alaska with 4 other units including 2 Marine divisions, artillery a cruiser and a battleship for 75% of the allotted game time to finally destroy it. Meanwhile my reinforcements are seemingly based on the AI's whim, no matter how close to home bases and with open supply lines. My artillery? Fires once with almost no effect. Theirs? Fires multiple times and all but makes units disappear or set them up to be wiped out by repeated infantry assaults. My submarines? Might take 1 or 2 HP off a non-destroyer ship. Theirs? Wreak havoc with impunity, including my destroyers. If I even think about attacking their destroyers with a sub? Is suicidal. If I have to reinforce more than 2 bars? Wipes out any and all hard-earned experience. I understand recruits coming in aren't going to be experienced, but I have had 1 1/2 XP evaporate from 30% reinforcements! There's no attrition, no diminishing effectiveness, no resupply issues, etc... "If you are the computer". Trying to dislodge a single enemy from anything, anywhere ( don't even think about Verdun, which at least has a tinge of historical realism to it!) is a Herculean feat and completely unrealistic. I send in "bombers" ( another bad joke), and artillery to reduce entrenchment levels. Then more experienced units are slapped down one after another by an weaker enemy who takes little or no damage. Wash, rinse, repeat ad nauseum and that is "the game". The computer can waltz around the map anywhere it wants. You? Severely limited with no rhyme or reason. It makes it almost impossible to mount an effective offense against any given target. Your units become strung out piecemeal and chopped to bits. You are left constantly having to shift entire lines like a Chinese puzzle box, losing any accumulated entrenchment values along the way... or leave your line with so much as a tiny diagonal gap and he will start pouring through like his ass is on fire. I understand "mountainous terrain", but this is literally "every terrain". Strangely the American Civil War version is the only one in the series I have found that allows for any semblance of freedom of maneuver, and allows for realistic behavior. The "Every unit is filled with supermen who can travel anywhere, resupply and reinforce anywhere, suffer almost no damage no matter what they are hit with no matter how isolated they are and surrounded" makes every game devolve into a brutally unrealistic slugging match of attrition that is not only no fun but disheartening because you know you are ultimately going to lose. So I absolutely do not recommend this game, or really any of the series except ACW until they make changes and add realism. Unless you just like hours and days of aggravation.
Anyone know how i can patch to v1.5? I had a PBEM game going when the switch to matrix games happend and I cant apply the patch to the steam version.
