Absolutely Fantastic Game Stranded: Alien Dawn is honestly one of my favorite games I've ever played. The gameplay is fantastic, with a great balance of challenge and progression that keeps things interesting without ever becoming overly frustrating. I'm coming up on 300 hours of gameplay, and I still have absolutely no interest in stopping. There is always something to work towards, something to improve, or another situation that makes you rethink how you're approaching your colony. I genuinely think this is one of my top 10 games of all time, and that's not something I say lightly. If you enjoy survival, colony management, strategy, building and watching your little group slowly turn a hostile planet into a home, this game is absolutely worth picking up. One of the best games I've played in years. Highly recommended!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

among the best of its kind. i personally gave it a score of 90%. public reviews are not very high (only 73%-83%), i think because people are having too high expectations. however i agree it could be improved. well, all games have rooms for improvements.
Just too much of micromanagement and trying to persuade people to do certain things. It starts great but as game scales it becomes too tedious and player must somehow persuade those people to do certain things in exact order. It sucks all the joy as people become stupid and unable to do basic things. Assigned priorities are great, until game scales when they become meaningless. For Linux players: if game crashes, try to turn off reflections, it can help.
man hat eine lange zeit Spaß daran ;)
TLDR: Most of the mechanics in the game don't work as stated by the game and there are no updates coming to fix it so the game is basically abandoned while being riddled with bugs. I paid $17. Most of the game mechanics and functions don't work or are bugged. Here are a few examples: Mood Mechanic: The character says they have plus 100 buffs to their mood but minus 15 debuffs so they are at zero happiness and on the verge of a mental breakdown. That doesn't make any sense unless the person can't do basic math. Work and Tasks: Tell a character to go harvest grain from the field or pick berries from the berry bushes. The character will do either one and then drop the food on the ground and leave it there to rot or be eaten by wild animals. They don't bring it back to be stored. They do the same thing when they cut down trees. Cut down a bunch of trees and then leave the wood right where they cut down the tree. They don't gather it and bring it back to the base. Crafting Priority: Set a priority list of what to craft at the workbench and how many to craft. They make other items first, removing the partially finished item from the workbench and placing it on the ground or into storage. Schedule Mechanic: There is a work schedule that the player can make to so that the characters have time to relax, sleep, eat, and work. The characters ignore it. Working at the bench through their relax time while complaining about being stressed and hungry. Meanwhile there is food to eat and form of entertainment to indulge in but they won't do either unless manually told to do it. I could go on for longer but I think I got my point across. The player has to meticulously micromanage the characters in order for anything to work. I strongly don't recommend this game.
It's almost a very good game but is as it stands is a good game. You start off with a few survivors and build/research/farm your way to survival. It is quite fun when you are starting out but slowly gets more complicated as you gain new survivors and research new technologies. Mods are a must and it is very well supported in that respect. It has a lot of replayability. I'm still in shock - I tamed a dog - the dog later killed my best farmer.
Daher bisher mein Kolonie Favorit!
The screenshots and videos make it seem like this is a colony-building game, but to possibly get to that point you must endure generic survival mechanic tripe. Your citizens exist purely to eat, governed by AI who abandon tasks even when all needs are meet in order to go do something else because they are all coded with incurable ADHD. Too much micro, not enough building like advertised. If you are one of those weird people who love videogame hunger mechanics, then this is your game, because that is most of the gameplay in no way rooted to realistic hunger. I cannot get a refund because I bought this as a cheap key in a Humble bundle, which is unfortunate because I will never return to this game. I tried a god mode workshop item, but there is nothing which permanently bypasses or cures the hunger mechanic or the AI ADHD where they just abandon tasks to go do other unrelated work without any clear rationale.
Good game, but I find the Tower Defense-style waves to be a bit silly in some ways. Definitely the least fun aspect overall for me.
