Scroll Down for UPDATED REVIEW. Man i was expecting way too more considering the pricing This game has lots of issues... Pros :- - AI fielding is very much improved - Many More batting shots really loved this one - Cutscenes and replays now run at 60 fps (still gets reduced to 45 for some reason) - If u go big in an over, u can see mini highlight at the end of the over, really liked this small touch so i mentioned it - Match loading is way faster way way faster than 19 - Ball tracking is also better than 19 if u use broadcast camera angles sometimes ball used to flicker when ball goes towards outfield in 19 - And my personal favourite which was removed from 19, i really like how i can make full use of crease i can go hard left and right to go full 360° innings smash like how T20 players do That are the only good things Cons:- They had 2 years to make this and another 1½ years to fix this thing but still has lot of issues - Player models look even more terrible now and oily For some reason i think a 8 yr old made characters with oil pastel colors It's even worse than cricket 19 - Whenever i look at their eyes i feel something terrible must have happened - Highest quality grass is worse than cricket 19's medium quality grass can u believe it !! Game with 8gb ram recommended specs outperform their own new game Very very low quality like i feel i am playing a ps2 game :/ - New Zealand T20 kit is having real trouble can't even read players name in the back of jersey They have rights for all these licensed tournaments - Big bash league - Ashes - Carribbean Premier League - Hundred Yet they don't make any effort on giving each tournament their own scoreboard/scorecard and match review stats like how we see on Television - Same graphics and match review stats are used across all the above mentioned licensed tournaments (Only THE HUNDRED HAS A Custom Score Card like how we see on TV ) only the Score Card again match review stats are same these are the small touches which really makes the sports game special - Also complete white theme in game menu is kinda irritating Atleast we had options to change theme based on eng,aus and Windies, no options here... - New UI for changing match settings and changing kit was not needed at all old one was easy and very friendly - Commentators aren't excited at all 5 needed of 2 balls and they speaking absolute garbage like i am still playing in middle overs :( - And the very first match i had a bug where i need 5 of 2 balls so i hit a shot and ran 4 myself as ball did not touch the boundary line but after that score card was still showing 5 of 2 and i got out due to that, which ended in super over I hope there's new cricket game this year since we have ashes this year Pls fix above things look at other games for reference of player models And make the next game affordable this is definitely what i would not buy even at 50% Updated Review After playing for another 70 hrs since the review -There has not been any updates since then, seems like the game has been abandoned - i have been playing IPL (community created teams) with a friend in remote play mostly - i will say cricket 19 has better playfaces, players like virat kohli, rohit sharma, chris gayle, ms dhoni, faf du plesis etc look like themselves - also the last ball scorecard bug happens in every match, everytime on the last ball, it will show __ runs needed of 2 balls but overs in the scorecard will be showing 19.5(6th ball is about to be bowled) - other than that, i have faced more bugs in recent times when fielder throws the ball to the wicket keeper's end, wicket keeper will not collect the ball and the whole team will get freezed , opposition team will take infinite amount of runs while the ball will be lying on the grass. - sometimes fielders will not collect the ball quickly they will play football(soccer) with the ball for 6-7 seconds and then throw it back u can check this bugs on reddit, My suggestion would be, 1) If u cant wait and want to play a cricket game desperately, buy cricket 19, its cheaper and better in most aspects, also has scenario mode which is fun to recreate older matches. 2) Wait for 3 months, Cricket 24 Is going to be released on 5th October, on paper game looks good with lots of new licensed teams and over 50+ official stadiums. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good game.

I have some suggestions on this: 1. Please add newspaper cuts photos for better involvement (Ex. Most Runs Player from one team and Most Wicket Taker from other team against who is going to win something like that and more scenarios.) 2. Add more celebration (for 50/100) like trademark kohli, root and let user select how he should celebrate. 3. In between the match like stats something pop ups for most runs/fours/six/100/50/wickets above the scorecard or stats with photos would be great. As a fan of cricket games i am suggesting these things and some minor bugs are there.
Hello Kirkit Fans & Ross🙆 After playing cricket19 for 1000+ hours. ..i decided that i should try cricket22 at 50% off and by now things would have patched up after 2 years.👽 With great reluctance and faith in cricket lord i bought and tried the game.🙄 Being an ardent player of cricket19 , it hurts me to say that cricket22 is an utter trash..avoid this plague at any cost 🤐😭😭 RIP to all those people who bought this at full price ...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 textures of players look so dated, even licensed players look so horrible.even worse than 19 version👺 Because of high price, not many people have purchased this , so even the community creations are suffering and player faces look so awful in community creation. 😑😒😒😒 Overall its a plague, All legends in cricket must be in tears after witnessing this game😪 BigANT company is an Australian firm, they should maintain some standard which Australians are known for. We have great expectations, Do not become like china where things work just for day or two and quality is in shambles....rather try to become Japanese or German quality 😷😷😷 Dear Ross, for the love of Alan Border and Shane Warne, next time please make a game which whole community can digest and make use of, otherwise half hearted effort goes futile anyways.😐 Also the way you plan to fight piracy , may not even work ..by doing your measures, people who have started purchasing digital content may even go back to their bad ways and it's not feasible for either party. Kindly consider my humble opinion. I do not wish to be harsh on you or the team, it's just as an ardent fan of this sport and your game is highly disappointed and wants things to only progress rather than go downwards Eagerly waiting for cricket23 with better content and edible price..😋 Till then folks save your money time energy and just do not buy crciket22..you will regret it immensely You's crying cricketFan Aghori
Man, we really need a better cricket game. Big Ant consistently make the same mediocre package and we keep buying it for some reason. It's the exact same as 19, just with more bugs and even more sluggish fielding animations and camera spasms. Graphics are still sorta acceptable if it were 2005.
I play this game only to take out frustration when home team lose game with opponent team in real life, then i beat them with big margin here and then only then i can have peaceful sleep
It's tough to rate this because two statements are simultaneously true: 1. It's by far the best cricket game on the market (and even better than classics like BLIC) 2. It's nowhere near the quality of game cricket fans deserve in 2023 I think the best comparison is with football (soccer) games. Anyone who plays those games will remember that quality got noticeably better in terms of AI, additional features etc around 2008-2010. Cricket 23 is a game which is yet to undergo that transition. There are weird aspects that feel like a lack of play testing (AI fielders sometimes stand looking gormless for several seconds but then simultaneously are extremely accurate with throwing the ball at stumps (including - I think - having the same accuracy whether they're throwing at 3 stumps or a single stump). Likewise, AI batsmen on the same team as the player seem almost entirely unwilling to adjust their style of play to the format. Given a variable for batsman aggression clearly exists within the game and is relatively well-balanced to 3-5 day formats IMO, it doesn't then make sense that 30 overs into a 50 over game, the top-order batsman at the other end hasn't figured out that being on 6 off 45 balls isn't really the kind of approach to adopt. These are just two examples of many. On the whole, it's a bad game, but I would reluctantly have to recommend it to people who really need their cricket fix.
Criket 22 for quick games, better gameplay but limited content.

Gameplay:
Cricket 22 is very similar to Cricket 24, so I'd recommend Cricket 22 only if you're looking for a casual game. The gameplay is slightly better than 24, but the immersion in the world of Criket is very limited. You'll enjoy playing matches in Criket 22, but if you want to take part in a full career similar to a real one, then you'd be better off with Criket 24. Check out my review of Criket 24 for more details.
If you like sports games, come and discover what's available on steam.
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45180919-SeniGaming-Sports/
not playable on pc. several functionalists don't work at all. can't set fields. button that says in swing gives out swing. the shot you select isn't the one the player plays. the edges don't count as wicket. Big Ant also refuse to accept the evidence that this is happening. Maybe it works on consoles but DO NOT BUY ON PC. absolutely pathetic for a game that cost this much.
Having delved into Cricket 22 on Steam, a successor to the well-received Cricket 19, I've observed notable enhancements, though the multiplayer mode presents a mixed bag. The game's graphics and presentation have taken a commendable leap forward, showcasing detailed player models and realistic stadiums. Gameplay improvements, especially in batting, bowling, and fielding, provide a more polished experience. The career mode is richer and more rewarding. However, the multiplayer component falls short, with occasional hiccups in matchmaking and connectivity. While the updated controls may pose a minor learning curve, Cricket 22 remains a worthy upgrade overall, despite some multiplayer challenges.
After playing cricket 19, i was really excited to play this game but 3000k seemed a lil bit overpriced to me yet i bought this game, hoping that I'd play the world's most realistic cricket game. After playing few games, I could surely say that this game is better than cricket 19 but i feel like that models in c19 look more real than c22. After 1 month of playing this game, i am writing this review and i'm damn disappointed because it has very limited shots and most of them look so unrealistic amd cartoony. Even adnroid cricket game like real cricket 22 and wcc3 have more shots and they also look real than this game. If you have c19 and wanna buy c22 then I'd say don't buy it, you'd also be disappointed like me. Edit : If you have c22, do not go for c24!! that's just a scam. You will get the same gameplay with minor chnages in graphics. I am thinking to switch back to c19, I loved batting in that game 🙁
