RPG Maker strikes again! This is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoffs spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club weeaboo fan fiction. Story of the Survivor differentiates itself from most horrible fantasy themed RPG Maker shovelware in a number of ways. Firstly, it's not even complete, the "developers" did most of the game and dumped it onto Steam for a whopping $5 USD and into shovelware game bundles hoping to gouge as much as they can. They did opt for a zombie/apocalypse theme instead of the usual fantasy, but that does nothing to help the cringey fan-fiction tier writing, terrible graphics etc etc. The game launch screens include a plea for clemency because the game was only developed by 2 people. I think "developers" need to be a bit more realistic about trying to qualify their games before dumping them on Steam. Imagine if you woke up from surgery missing an arm and a leg, and they tried to tell you instead of a surgeon, they got two guys who work at Starbucks to do it, but they're "really passionate about surgery". Is this enough to excuse them from doing such a bad job? No, it isn't, is it. I think I'd have more sympathy if these guys hadn't dumped an incomplete game directly onto Steam and started selling it in bundles. That's not cool at all. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. Leave this terrible fan fiction in the shovelware bundles where it belongs.
The controls are odd. They should stick with it. There's some good ideas but the controls make this difficult to play. Keep developing. I will check in after a few years. Hopefully, it will be better. Good luck!

the game is quite simple. you just need to survive. although its a bit hard since there's no minimaps, no clear directions and hard to find save point or workbench. but overall its good. Few things that might improve this game - Minimaps in the area so we know where to go without getting lost lots of times and back to starting point - more save points & workbench - Respawn basic resources like crafting materials or consumables - Hunger / Thirst indication limit - More place to sleep. this is important I think since I didnt find anywhere else to sleep besides the girl's house in the farm and thats just once cant sleep more. - Shared EXP - Environment Interaction like in river or pond we can collect water, in woodcutter camp we can gather woods, etc - Keyboard Control Change especially for the hotkeys - Party auto help attack so the leader didnt fight by him/herself most of the times I still didnt finish it since i dont know where to go and all my party member health are low so cant do much but its not bad. just need more improvement
我卡关了,游戏质量还可以吧。英文不难,有兴趣的朋友可以一玩。
Save the cheerleader Save the world 哈哈哈哈哈 这是多老的梗啊 成就刷新的瞬间笑出了声

Story of the Survivor is an okay game but truth be told this game is well you like it or you don’t, but with that said let’s dive into the story. You play as Thomas a survive in a zombie infested world. He and his mom are waiting for the military to come and restore order. But Thomas realizes that is not happening not only that, this mom gets very sick, so he must leave home and get medicine for her he must face his new world. Now what I liked, well the story was nice a bit simple but nice nothing I have not seen before. The rpg elements were an interesting idea but I feel it was not used to their fullest. And I liked the ending, I won’t tell you it. But all I can say it was good. The DLC was okay but I well review it on the DLC page. Now for what I did care for, the story as I said it was nice but a bit simple nothing you have not seen before. But really you could do a lot with a story/game like this maybe make it a parody about zombie games like resident evil or dead space, I don’t know I just think this would have been better if they tried something new. The cooking and crafting system I just feel it was not used to their fullest/not really needed. I mean you can go through this game without really needing them. The rpg elements were an interesting, but I think more could have been done with them. The Controls were a good bit annoying. I mean I feel it could have been a bit simple like have just one button for character management. And lastly the two things that are not bed but annoying are one it’s very easy to get lost especially at night were you can’t see that well. Now the dialog had a good bit misspelling or some missing parts. So with all that said, I say you can get this game if you want. It’s not bad, but it does not bring anything new to the table. But really it’s just something you are going to like it or you don’t, to me I didn’t really care for.
The game said "Achivement unlocked: ♥♥♥♥♥ Lover" then I pressed F12 to screenshot and it reset.
