I just had fun digging around, finding treasures, weird little collectibles, and slowly working my way through all the achievements. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3765968805 At first I thought it would be something like Balderdash, where you have to constantly watch out for rocks falling on your head if you make the wrong move. Turns out it's much more laid-back. You just grab your pickaxe, start digging, and see what you can find. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3766467424 If you enjoy collecting everything a game has to offer and want something relaxing to play for a few hours, I'd say DigWorld is worth a look.

Extremely grindy and repetitive. The "gameplay" loop is just tedious. Playing feels like a chore. Even if this game was 1 dollar, it's not worth playing. And I can't even use my mouse to dig?

At 25 hours of playtime upon release of the game, you will get at least 25 hours of play time at minimum. If you're a completionist, think more roughly around 75-80 hours if you big brain it and do what you need to do to complete all achievements. The game has a ton to collect, efficency is huge. It will take 300 trips to fully complete the game, don't use the extra time anymore than necessary in a dig. All items will come in time even at 7 min runs. Get as deep as you can and use your bombs. Utilize emergency depots as needed. Collect all the red blocks you can, going to need them for chips to buy cosmetics. There is a ton to learn and improve gameplay as you go. I could write much more.

[b]One might ask:[/b] who is the target audience for this game? [b]Answer:[/b] anyone with some degree of autism - so, basically, everyone. But just read the description, and don’t expect Minecraft here.

This game is totally my kind of game. I see that some reviews claim it's too slow or grindy, but I have to disagree. The pacing feels just right. You never get overwhelmed, yet every run gives you meaningful progress. I haven't had a single completed run where I couldn't buy a new upgrade or unlock something new. So I'm honestly not sure what these reviewers mean by "slow progress." As for the other aspects of the game, like the music and the overall atmosphere, they really hit the sweet spot for me. So yeah, I'll definitely keep playing this, and I recommend that anyone who loves digging games does the same!

This game is really satisfying and chill to play, you get addicted really quickly to the loot hoarding, you'll lose items easily if you get too greedy for LOOT. BUT THE LOOT! I GOTTA HAVE IT ALL! MY PRECIOUS! *cough* Eh Hehm. I like the game quite a lot, it's just my "I don't want to stress out, just jump in for an hour and enjoy the time spent gathering loot and hopefully upgrading one or two tools per session" type of game. Ps: I would like if there was a different button for climb that is not "W", since you use that to mine upwards too. If it was on Shift or something else it would be great!
