What I write for this review is the experience I had with the game, everybody will experience things differently. This is my honest review if you don't like it well tough. Also no game is safe from a review whether its early access or full release. now onto the review. Stop It- Driving Simulator is a game that is suppose to give you that feeling when someone drives drunk or is way into their phone or is slowly falling asleep behind the wheel. Testing to see how far you can go before you get into an accident. Well that is what its suppose to do anyway, the experience I had with this game gave me the opposite. If anything I now know what it feels like to drive with a headache. There 3 modes you can choose to drive in. Alcohol, texting or tired, each of these modes are to "simulate" what it could be like if you were drunk, texting or tired but it did a poor job on each mode & I will tell you why. Driving Methods So you can pick up to 2 driving methods. VR controls or Xbox controller....what no steering wheel. Oh wait that is coming soon but why? To give the real immersion shouldn't steering wheel controls been top priority in a driving simulator especially a sim that gives the experience of driving drunk, driving while texting or tiredness to give real immersion? The issue is the VR controllers, you can't double grip the steering wheel. The triggers act as the pedals and to use the triggers you have to grip the steering wheel to use the trigger. Alcohol When driving under the influence of alcohol, you feel unbalanced. No matter what position you are in weather your sitting or standing, you are unbalanced. The alcohol mode makes everything disorrianted. Kinda like slow-motion but in real time. My first time trying this mode I had BAL of 1.30 & everything felt like a migrant & everything look fuzzy so kinda accurate I guess. The issue was when I now tried after my 1st play I wasn't getting drunk even when my BAL was 5.75 I wasn't getting the drunk part. So not sure what happened. (note I never drink & drive) Text Mode Dear oh dear this was a huge flop. Since everything was clear picture in the car view I could see the text messages very clearly from my seated position so I never had to look away from the road. I am not sure about the idea behind this mode. I was receiving text messages non-stop but couldn't reply to them. Like I said I could see the message easily so I had no issue. If had to reply to each message the I could see a problem but since that wasn't the case this driving while texting sim was not really good. Tiredness Mode ......da crap is this mode, no seriously why did this exist. From start to near finish I had no issue driving when when my eye closed for litually 3 seconds. Sure the car may have drifted off but guess what I was able to predict the time I was going to close my eyes to just slow down to 10mph or even stop. This mode just like the text mode was a waste of time adding. The car should have been driving it self & all you had to do was not crash. That is what I wanted & with the a steering wheel using feedback imagine your eyes closed & the wheel suddenly turn off on its own for you to correct it when you open your eyes again. That would have been realistic. The graphics was okay in car but outside mainly the road graphics was just blurry. I had no graphic setting other then alianti setting. So the graphics seemed like it was done at eh like 30% done I guess. The law of the driving I wanted to bring this up mainly because in both the alcohol & texting modes the pedestrians all did illegal crossing. Even if I were to hit them, it be 100% there fault for walking out onto the road illegally (or jaywalking). In between light stops (driving on the road to get to the next one), a pedestrian would randomly cross the road & again that's illegal. So if I hit that pedestrian regardless drunk or texting they be at 95-99% at fault for their injuries for jaywalking. When at the stop lights your light will always be green so the crosswalk light will not be active. This was done on purpose to have a pedestrian jaywalk randomly but again as before if I hit them they be at fault for jaywalking. Stop it- Driving Simulator gets a 1/10 score. I can't deny wanting to try the steering wheel would have made this an easily 5/10 but without that & all the other issues I listed the just didn't give that simulation it was suppose to offer. I feel if this game waited a bit longer & got testers to give their input & to have time to put in steering wheel controls the game could have easily gotten a 6 or a 7 score. That's the Pony review for Stop It- Driving Simulator
I think it's also a nice driving sim.Jesus is my Lord and Savior !
I just tried this game about 10 minutes but refunded. I would like to let school kids to try this experience because the idea is a brilliant. But at this point the game needs mandatory improvements: -The most annoying thing was to choose meniu with your view point. To take 10 shots took to configure 1 minute. -After experience it should have restart button. -To control the vehicle with controllers is not very realistic. Waiting for the driving simulator addon; If you are planning to fix this game, please inform me.
I am interested in a version for Oculus Go. I Own 5 Driving schools and we get invited to present at local public schools.
the game literally doesnt even start, is it something im doing wrong or is this game just not worth it?
