For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This sequel of SteamWorld Dig is even better ! The Metroidvania vibes are everywhere and digging is funnier than before. Played on Steam Deck, as usual, and don't regret it.
picar, picar y PICAR 2

My score: 6.5/10
Overview
This is more SteamWorld Dig (🔗review here), and when I say "more" I mean in every aspect - map size, presentation, etc -. What I don't mean is "better". Yes, this is one of those cases where both the story and gameplay kinda overstay their welcome: it feels like the game keeps going, and going, and going. There are also a few questionable design choices (e.g., in the hub town, the teleport and the main merchant are oddly placed; nothing major at first, but it adds up since you'll visit the hub every 10 minutes or so), and some frustrating platforming sequences. Soon enough, you’ll just be begging for the game to end—and that’s never a good sign. Finally, some achievements are insanely demanding, even more so than in the first game...
Key Points
[*]
DIFFICULTY:
Overall manageable, but sometimes leans heavily on the hard side of the "metroidvania test-of-skill" spectrum (think White Palace from Hollow Knight, but less precise and polished). [*]
PRESENTATION:
Same art direction as SWD1, but with better graphics. Some tracks, however, are repetitive to the point of being unpleasant—a recurring problem in this series. [*]
STORY:
Too much. [*]
GAMEPLAY/GAMEPLAY LOOP:
Dig, dig, find upgrade, dig more. [*]
TECHNICAL POLISH:
I haven't encountered any glitches or bugs. [*]
MONEYxCONTENT VALUE:
€19.99 is ridiculously high for this type of game, but there is a bundle (SWD1 + SWD2) priced at €3, which is an excellent deal. Highly recommended if you’re looking for value.
An improvement over the first game in every way, and I found the first game to be really good already. The gameplay loop of finding minerals in the mine, selling them and then upgrading your equipment remains satisfying and the game has many different upgrades, equipment mods and a fairly robust story connecting to the first game. The game feels more fluid, the graphics are improved and it's much like the first Steamworld Dig, just with more production value. Not much to complain about - if you enjoyed the first game, this is a must-buy too!
I am a bit torn on how to rate this game. On one hand, I enjoyed the mining and exploration aspects. This game rewards exploration quite well with ample secrets to find. The side caves offer simple puzzles but a fun diversion from digging. Although tagged as a Metroidvania, there is little reason to backtrack in the game until the penultimate objective sends you slightly deeper into the mine than you could access previously. On the other hand, the core mechanic of the game is almost pointless. Mining is a chore to get money to upgrade your character, but the real fun of the game is to explore deeper into the mine. Mining is presented as the core aspect early on, but the only good reason to return to town is to heal and recharge the lantern. It seems like the game forces you to interrupt your progress for no apparent reason, which turns out to be okay, but—why!? I enjoyed the game, yet I also feel like the game is kind of pointless? It's a bit too long for the underwhelming story, but it's also too short for what it could have been if it capitalized on the mechanics. I guess I'll just say this game is perfectly adequate for what it is.
I want to 100% this game. the story is good. The platforming is fluid and they need to make a third one.
