Reviews
One of the best metroidvania games out there. There’s nothing crazy going on here, just an extremely addictive gameplay loop that excels at giving that “just one more dig” feeling. The music is fire as well.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ОЧЕНЬ достойная игра,в основном она по скидке +- 90 процентов,тут чиловый геймплей очень интересная задумка,хороший сюжет,и очень крутые элементы рпг,всем очень приочень советую пусть игра и старенькая
I bought this game originally because it as on a deal. I never really had the chance to play games that often and if I did I would probably be playing a different game. I played this game during school and it was honestly so much fun. It was fun going around and fighting monsters and completing puzzles . I actually really like this game and I would recommend it.
Excellent metroidvania très sous-coté. Le système d'améliorations est original et le gameplay novateur. Je recommande
好评,不错的精品小游戏
SteamWorld Dig 2 is a Metroidvania centered around underground mining, platforming, and exploration. The story follows a female steam-bot searching for the missing protagonist of the first game, accompanied by a glitchy sprite/firefly, all while beating down local cultists along the way. The Short Answer: Is It Worth Buying? If you love digging mechanics, secret-filled Metroidvanias, and steady character upgrades, it is definitely worth picking up for a couple of bucks during a Steam sale. Playtime 3/10 It took me about 7 hours to complete the story and unlock most of the main upgrades. If you ignore non-essential upgrades and strictly rush the main narrative, it can be cleared in about 4–5 hours. If you go full completionist hunting for every hidden artifact and secret, expect closer to 20 hours. Story 4/10 A female steambot searches for her lost friend with a glitchy firefly companion while uncovering underground mysteries and fighting off cultists. Music 5/10 Mediocre overall. It's not inherently bad, but it gets pretty repetitive and wearing after a few hours. Graphics 4/10 Visually nostalgic—reminiscent of old Nokia Java games mixed with a vibrant art style that leans close to Psychonauts. Mechanics 4/10 Standard Metroidvania blueprint: progression blocks require specific gear or movement abilities to bypass, and plenty of rewards are hidden behind breakable walls. It sticks strictly to the classics without introducing anything revolutionary, though the charming steampunk western setting gives it character. Personal Take It’s a great palette cleanser to take a break from intense or stressful games, easily worth grabbing for "the price of two coffees" during a sale. I wouldn't consider it a full-fledged, deep gaming experience since it felt a bit lightweight for my tastes, but it's still a solid, well-made indie title. Overall Score: 68/100
This is like one of my favorite games ever, infinitely improves on the first one. It's just a shame more people don't know about it.
much better than 1st one
