Developed and published by THE BROTHERHOOD, STASIS is a science fiction horror adventure that embraces the strengths of classic point-and-click gameplay while delivering an emotionally charged and deeply unsettling narrative. Set aboard the colossal research vessel Groomlake, the game follows John Maracheck, an ordinary man who awakens from cryogenic sleep only to find himself alone in a nightmare. His wife and daughter have vanished, the crew is either dead or missing, and the ship has become a labyrinth of disturbing experiments and horrific secrets. From the beginning, the game establishes an atmosphere of uncertainty, encouraging players to uncover the truth through exploration rather than direct confrontation. Every new discovery reveals another layer of the ship's tragic history, making curiosity as important as survival. One of STASIS's greatest achievements is its ability to create an oppressive atmosphere without relying on constant action. The isometric viewpoint gives players a clear perspective of the detailed environments while emphasizing the immense scale and loneliness of the Groomlake. Every corridor, laboratory, medical bay, and engineering deck is filled with visual storytelling, revealing the catastrophic events that unfolded before John's arrival. The environments are grim and richly designed, combining futuristic technology with grotesque biological horror to create a world that feels believable despite its disturbing nature. Rather than overwhelming players with endless scares, the game builds suspense gradually through eerie silence, haunting sound effects, unsettling discoveries, and an ever-present feeling that something terrible is waiting around the next corner. Gameplay remains faithful to traditional adventure mechanics, focusing on careful observation, puzzle solving, and inventory management. Players collect useful objects, examine their surroundings, and combine items to overcome obstacles while gradually progressing deeper into the ship. The puzzles generally reward logical thinking and attention to detail, particularly for players who carefully read computer logs, notes, and environmental clues. Although a few challenges may require extra experimentation, the majority fit naturally within the game's world and narrative. Instead of interrupting the story, the puzzles reinforce the feeling that players are genuinely investigating an abandoned facility where every clue serves a meaningful purpose. The storytelling is where STASIS truly excels. Rather than presenting the plot through lengthy cinematic sequences, the narrative unfolds through audio recordings, written documents, computer terminals, and the haunting remnants left behind by the crew. John is portrayed as a relatable protagonist whose determination to find his family makes every revelation more emotionally impactful. As players learn more about the ship's corporate ambitions, unethical scientific research, and the horrifying consequences of unchecked experimentation, the story becomes increasingly tragic and morally complex. The game explores themes of human greed, sacrifice, family, and the dangers of scientific progress without ethical restraint, giving the horror genuine emotional substance instead of relying solely on graphic imagery. The audiovisual presentation further strengthens the experience. The detailed artwork remains impressive, with carefully crafted environments filled with machinery, damaged equipment, bloodstained laboratories, and unsettling organic mutations that leave a lasting impression. The soundtrack complements every location with atmospheric compositions that heighten tension without becoming intrusive, while the sound design effectively captures the eerie emptiness of the Groomlake. Voice performances are delivered with conviction, helping the characters feel authentic even when they are heard only through recordings or brief interactions. Together, these elements create an immersive world that consistently maintains its dark tone from beginning to end. STASIS is not entirely without shortcomings. Its deliberate pacing and emphasis on exploration may not appeal to players seeking a faster or more action-driven horror experience. Character movement can feel slow during periods of backtracking, and a few puzzles reflect the occasional trial-and-error design commonly found in classic adventure games. Some interactive objects are also easy to overlook due to the isometric camera angle. Fortunately, these minor frustrations rarely diminish the overall quality of the experience because the compelling narrative, memorable atmosphere, and intelligent world-building remain engaging throughout the adventure. Overall, STASIS stands as an excellent example of narrative-focused science fiction horror. It successfully blends thoughtful puzzle design, exceptional environmental storytelling, immersive audiovisual presentation, and a mature, emotionally driven plot into a memorable experience that continues to resonate long after the credits roll. Players who appreciate classic point-and-click adventures and slow-burning psychological horror will find plenty to admire in its carefully crafted world and compelling mystery. Rating: 8/10

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The story is interesting and the atmosphere is great, but in many ways it feels pretty outdated, even for when it came out.
I had never played a point & click game before, so it was a wild ride for me. I'm gonna point out ONE defect this game has, and that's its "logic". Stasis is basically a game-long puzzle where you need to figure out which item to use where. Sometimes these puzzles make sense, but sometimes they absolutely don't. In order not to spoil anything, I'm gonna give an example with everyday situations. It's stuff like "let's smash these strawberries with the heel of a boot so we can make alcohol", or "let me touch this wall so that I can pick up the chair next to it, even though I saw the chair first", or even "remember how I told you that there's absolutely no way you can go through walls? Well now you can, but I'm not gonna tell you that". I had to look up solutions at least 5 times during my playthrough because I was stuck for about 20 minutes in each of these times. And it always turned out to be something that made me say "really?" Despite that, I enjoyed my time with the game. It has a deep lore, interesting characters and a lot (A LOT) of text to read. It is good at building up tension and fear, but lacks in making that fear come true. Even then, I'd say it's worth it for the price.
A very atmospheric point and click adventure game! The style is very unique and the worldbuilding is very interesting. I do wish there were less notes, as it got a bit tiring reading them for lore expansion instead of other ways to introduce concepts, though they are skimmable as most don't relate to our main character. I'm excited to play the sequel to discover more about and wrap up the story!
Solid isometric point and click horror adventure scifi, but pretty janky and hard to identify what is interactive.
Buena aventura gráfica en cuanto a ambientación e historia. Toques de las clásicas de Sierra. Recomendable.
what a horrific story. 10/10
