Game offered by a friend who doesn't care for football and thought I would appreciate it better than she ever would. I'm not sure she realized how much this was going to hit the spot. This game hits differently if you were ever a fan of old, old top down football games from the early 1990s like Sensible Soccer. The game itself is a nice and funny little story which had me crack a few laughs, interspersed with footy matches or sometimes runs of games where you will manage a bottom league team and try to bring them back to the glory they barely grazed decades ago. There's a small and simple management part where you will try to improve the stadium of your team and your revenue, to be able to snatch players from other teams. It's simple and straightforward and very forgettable in itself but it works towards the game's narration. Oh and you can play women's football if you want. Most of the relevant characters in the game are just gender swapped if you do, except for a single line of dialogue where I was called "pal" or something by one of the characters. I wish I remembered better to be able to report it to the dev. ADHD amIrite It's a simple, short game, but that doesn't mean it doesn't do what it does really well. I beat it in like 10 hours of actual playing time and had fun all along. Well except when I tried to pass to that one gal right in front of me and the game decided I wanted to pass to my winger on the other side of the field, but that's when you know when your game succesfully replicate early 1990s football games right ? Its systems are very simple and it's nothing revolutionary, but it does two things well : - blending different genres in a coherent whole, and I forgot about the second. Look, I had a lot of fun is all. Launch the damn game already. Made me feel 15 again, 10/10
I expected much less from the game, but it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. It features a storyline, various training sessions, player progression and a league system — all of which are huge pluses. Yes, there is admittedly a bit of a lack of content right now, but the game is very engaging, especially when playing Career Mode with a friend. It would be great to see online co-op added (beyond just Remote Play Together), and perhaps make character progression a bit more gradual — right now, the player becomes a superstar a little too quickly :) My rating: ✭✭✭✭✰
This was a really fun game, the only critique I could ever possibly have is that it's too short. I did sim a few games, so that's also on me. But the storyline dialogue was so good it had me wishing there was so much more!! Really enjoyed it. Made with care by a clearly very talented team! If you want to relax, have some fun, have a laugh - this is the one. Unironically the most fun football game I've played in 2026
Came across this in the deals for apparently promoting World Cup 2026. I supposed not to buy this because it's look like "for ants" or "for fleas" and personally i am not interested with this year's World Cup unlike what's was. Then i remember "Sensible Soccer" Then i see the Steam Workshop. It's sensible that i buy this. Controls are simple, ran on a potato (like it looks) there's lots of customization, and there's no in app purchases / premium content bull, and even if this is priced almost twice FIFA FC 26 i buy this instead. For other choice (apples and oranges given this one is top-down vertical while the other is side-scrolling), i suggest looking for Pixel Cup Soccer, which i bought 4 years ago, and i was just about dusting it off.
Okay so, The game is very charming and is a lot of fun at the start of the game. You get drills, some fun football and a nice load of story with the community and such. You get the story of how the team and its supporters are pretty much all run down now and your job is to make it better. Whilst this was a fun game with all of this about 3-4 hours in this is completely lost. The drills last until maybe the 2nd season in which you are then just clicking "next game, end day, next game" etc. This made it very VERY repetitive. The football gameplay itself... Is awful. The arrow on the player is supposedly where the ball is meant to be. However, even with max stats I felt like this was a complete lie and the game would try to make an impossible pass and give away possession. Shooting with the arrow is really damn difficult as its also the way to move. This makes it so you cant just aim the shot and shoot, instead it makes it so you aim whilst running it down towards the keeper. The corners and throw in's are useless along with the slide tackle as im pretty sure majority of the time you give away possession. This becomes even harder if you play on HARD mode (I played on normal however won on hard against the hardest team). The controls make it already a pain to play let alone with super accurate fast pace bots that you have a 80% chance of actually being able to tackle (unless you have a good team which usually requires at least 2 seasons or even more). The changing character is the worst mechanic in the game by far and some how makes fifa's look good. This is because you will not be able to get a character remotely close to the ball. Along with this if you play with default controls you will keep changing and accidently pass the ball since they are on the same control binding for some reason. The story of the game is barely there its mainly told through the NPC's of the town which is nice, however, as mentioned before about half way through the game this is irrelevant. Overall for a casual game on normal or something this can be fun, however, in my opinion there is just so much finicky things along with the repetitive gameplay halfway through, that I have marked this as not recommended. I think if this was like a "My Pro" situation and you only controlled your character, it might have been a lot more fun. Normal is too easy but hard makes it terrible to play due to the controls and lack of being able to control the game (as in the pitch, players, changing players, passing, etc). If you like football and just looking to mess around with a game for an hr here or there then this game might be good for you.
its actually amazing for certain people....me being one of them lol
Better then the annual EA-Slop.
Really fun football game made by one person. The story mode is great and definitely good enough to keep you interested so you can finish it. Other than that the teams and players are highly customizable and that adds to the fun because you can play with your own or the communities creations. It's also really fun to play multiplayer.
this game is just "almost". the story mode is almost fun. the match gameplay is almost there. it scratches at what it could be with just a bit more care and work, but it falls short. defending is so shallow, passing is fun but through balls are atrocious, the shooting is alright but only just. I really wanted to love this game, the music is cute and I love the stardew-ish vibes...but it just let me down..
um pokemon gba de futebol kkk, historia legal, platina um pouco chata pela grind em um jogo repetitivo
