excellent tactical deckbuilder. grid movement adds an interesting twist to the genre. characters are meaningfully different from each other. good card balance.
StarVarders is a fun card game and there is enough variety to keep the game fresh for several hours. At the time of this review I would say I touched about half of the available archtypes and took 6 tries to reach a true ending. Despite me liking this game very much, I will warn you now its a slow game where you need to plan your turns or you will just lose. My runs are on average 50 mins and 30 of those are just planning. Thankfully the game has a banger soundtrack so stalling(planning) lets you listen to it more.
Очень крутой карточный рогалик.
stupidly fun grid-system, card-based roguelite/like. cards are varied and unique, art's pretty, and the gameplays fun. helps to scratch the itch that Slay The Spire leaves.
StarVaders is a rougelike deckbuilder where you build up your arsenal as you pilot a mech in order tp destroy the alien invasion in this grid based tactics game. Graphics- Decent style Soundtrack- Pretty good Audience- Teenagers and Adults Difficulty- A few bosses are difficult Story- Good story Game time- Solid Price- It's a bit pricey 7/10
Had a lot of fun at first. Then I just lost run after run playing the invasion difficulty. I lost every run because the bosses just overwhelmed me with numbers. Tried building around this but they just produce even more numbers. I imagine you can overcome this if you enjoy beating your head into a wall for entertainment. Progression seems extremely slow and doesn't feel rewarding to me.
Really cool game, I love nervous roguelike games like Shogun showdown or Cobal Core, and I'm glad to see this one also has unique twists. Good replayability and each character feel distinct. Unfortunately the art direction feel uninspired (Blobs -_-). I understand the intention for the music but I rapidely turned it off (super pop and it's the same tune over and over).
Increíble juego deck builder, los combos con las distintas builds son muy bien pensados. La dirección de arte y música tambien son de muy buena calidad. Estaré al tanto de cualquier otro juego de estos chicos, muchas gracias Pengonauts! 10/10!
