Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Jul 23 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

The population of the harsh desert planet Kwalasha needs our help. Their peaceful lives, working in the mining industry, have been disturbed by a threat that they cannot face alone: the Arachnids. Under Colonel Hawthorne’s command, the Mobile Infantry will take back control of the planet and smash everything that has more than two legs. Enlist in this exciting military campaign, meet inspiring characters, visit amazing locations and do your part in the heroic war against the Bug!

The Arachnids may have virtually limitless numbers, but they lack the thorough tactical training that the Mobile Infantry enjoys. Position your units in advantageous choke points or on higher elevations. Be wary, however, that battle mechanics such as True Line of Sight and True Line of Fire may limit your field of fire and allow the treacherous Bugs to lay in ambush.

Optimize your army by choosing from a wide range of specialized unit types, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and set of unlockable elite abilities. Rifle Troopers can use their shotgun ability to hold back large numbers of Arachnids, M11 Marauders bipeds can unleash a withering mortar barrage and the Fleet Liaison can call down dropships with reinforcements or direct an airstrike to wipe out whole swaths of enemies.

The Bug infestation is rooted in elaborate underground hives. These present a unique challenge that demands a delicate balance between aggression and defense. Beware of the numerous tunnel openings, from which hordes of Arachnids can emerge.
To eradicate the Bug problem for good, their nests must be eradicated!
Territory Mode offers a new way to play, with a focus on freedom of choice and tactics. It features new maps crafted specifically for the game mode. You’ll battle the Arachnids for control of Territory Points - which provide a steady flow of resources - adding a fresh strategic layer to the game.

Reviews
A very fun and straight forward game that will be easily picked up by veterans of the RTS/Strategy genres. I've had a great time going through the campaign missions, of which there are 19 missions in the base game with 7 and 9 additional missions available as DLC. The game still receives updates and recently had a new territory mode launch. I've personally only played the campaign so far, but there is also a mod scene to bolster game play outside of the campaign missions. Overall I would recommend Starship Troopers: Terran Command as well as the DLC for fans of RTS and strategy games, or the Starship Troopers universe.
Challenging and fun.

I love it. Would you like to know more? I read the book, never saw the movies, whatever. It's a single player RTS and it's got a wacky feeling *of* a single player RTS. You get the feeling that the stuff you're fighting doesn't have the same rules you do, that there's no ability to reverse, to play the other side. Okay. It's a micro-focused RTS where only some units can fire over or through each other. Most can't. You're trying to position units to gun down bugs before they close, or desperately trying to dodge fire from plasma grenadiers, or scorpions, or tankers. As long as you have the attention and cycles it's not too hard to micro. If you start trying to control multiple groups on different parts of the map, it gets much harder. There are a lot of units in the base game- something like sixteen terran and ten-ish or ten plus bugs. The combinations they come in make things darn annoying to handle. When you finally get some powerful units that can fire on the move, you'll feel that relieved, hysterical laughter. There is NO PUNISHMENT for losing your units. You lose veterancy, you gotta go recruit them again, but otherwise... nothing. Which is weird, but remember, it's single player- it *works* in a weird way. You don't want to lose them yourself. But if you do, no sweat, no need to reload, etc. It's a weird, remarkably gentle touch to the gameplay, but it seems to work. There is no 'skirmish mode'; you can load up a campaign mission, or a 'conquest mode' that was apparently added after launch. I enjoyed both quite a bit, so it's not been hurting. There's also a challenge mission mode which- afaiu- is community generated maps. Haven't tried them. The DLCs are both quite good. I'm mixed on the values but enjoyed both of them, mostly for the enemies they add but also the friendly units. It does have some low-budget idiosyncracies. Units in a DLC campaign having basically two 'movement' voice lines and spamming them in alternation as you click them around. Some minor quibbles, communication of some desires can be hard to understand. An unexpected (but non-critical) sequence break. It *is* a Slitherine game, this ain't no AAA. But overall I really loved this a lot more than I expected I would, it's well put together and I'll be keeping an eye on future DLC. Absolutely delightful. 8/10
Kann ich nur empfehlen, jeder der auf den Film steht, wird auch dieses Spiel lieben!
ist ganz nett
its great. cool game. bread 👍
It's solid. Played it once back when it came out, and after the recent territory update, gave it another spin, only to beat the territory mode and then go back to playing through the campaign a 2nd time. It's just a solid single-player RTS. The graphic is decent, if nothing fancy. The sound backdrop is very good (honestly great voice acting for it's budget). The story is as cliche meh as it befits the franchise (the whole point of Starship Troopers is it's B-movie charme). Gameplay wise, you have squad-based tactics, with a focus on positioning, firing lanes and ability usage, in an environment where, usually, both sides have virtually infinite quantities of troops: You can replenish troops as fast as the dropships recharge, and are only limited by a population cap. The bugs spam out vast swarms out of their hives, and the whole gameplay loop, in most missions, is about you creeping up to the mission objectives (and usually hives) to temporarily deplete them of their defenders and then seize the battlefield, with both sides constantly escalating their investment into the battlefield bringing more and bigger toys. The campain is 'only' 19 missions with about 10-14h playtime, and the territory mode adds a couple maps with a semi-procedural objective and enemy generation that slaps on another couple. That's admittedly more an 'okay' price-to-gameplay ratio, but given the game's age you're almost certainly going to find it on sales. Overall, I'd give it a 8/10. It's not excessively large a package, or the most premium of content, but it's a befitting game for the franchise and provides a solid RTS experience with it's own set of uniques twist to differentiate it from your generic base-building-rush-enemy type of RTS.
This game is great, but NEEDS a multiplayer function with Co Op modes, and or just simple Co Op in any mission you want.
