It's pretty rare for a game to go through Kickstarter, early access, make it to a 1.0 version and even get major updates past that yet somehow still be broken and full of bugs. Starlight Inception was created for both PC and PS Vita and playing it, it becomes very apparent that the Vita was the focus here. Poor options, poor controls and terrible optimization plague all that is Starlight Inception. The package is made complete by the boring dogfights, the way-too-good aim assist and the general lack of AI in your enemies. A shame that a game that received this much attention should remain so terrible.
another great option !! . i recomend
I really want to like this game I really do. I like the concept and I like the Idea, but I cant play with this bizar mouse movement. I have a 6500DPI mouse. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get back to near perfect center so I stop spinning in circles? And full/ partial controller support? Try no support, non what so ever. I tried my X-360, X-One and an only MS Sidewinder FF2 just for giggles. NOTHING WORKED. I am so glad I only paid a couple of dollars for this. I will eventually jerry rig some type of setup to make this playable but I wont even attempt to fly after I ran in to the same wall a dozen times trying to go through a simple doorway. This games mouse control need work, bad.

Skip it. Not worth a $1. The devs either set this up as a pathetic attempt to swindle money, or they have made a ton of errors in making this game and are too lazy to fix them.
Poor graphics, unpolished mechanics and derivative gameplay
I bought this game on one of the old steam sales which means it was pretty cheap, and it was early access, so i though it would be a little clunky but functional. It was not, animation was awful, story was awful, campaign was awful and the controls were just abysmal, even with mouse targeting the aim in the center would snap in pre-fixed positions, like if you could turn 360 degrees but actually only in increments of one, 1º, 2º, 3º and so on but never 1.5 or any subdivision for that matter, it was just unplayable. But hey, early access right, all of those could be just placeholder mechanics just so they can show anything at all and get money flowing, i get it, lets just wait for it to release. And so it did. While they did fix the controls a little bit it was still very clunky, clunky but playable, so lets see what else they can offer. Animation, still terrible, i dont know why they even bothered to include some outside ship sequences but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it was bad. Actual space, ok, not amazing, not terrible, it is decent, models are kinda nice, the background art is kinda nice, weapons are at the low end. Campaing, horrible, look... i have 20 hours clocked in, that's a respectable amount of time, there are jrpg masterpieces that are less than or close to 20 hours long. Not a single time i actually knew what the hell was happening or even bothered to actually figure it out, its the most generic sci-fi setup you could ever hope for, escort things, shoot things, deliver things, run a space lap and that's it, why? Because its your job. Its like a perfect simulation of what being a boring everyday worker would be in a space station. Is it fun? Absolutely not, there are clunky games that are fun, there are bad games that are fun, even some boring af games can be fun in a casual setup but this one is not any of them, every hour that i clocked in this game was spent in hopes that the mission would end quickly so that i could try to advance the plot, but there's no plot, at least not one that i had the patience to witness. And you know what? Even the positive reviews that are somehow not ironic have less than 5 hours of playtime, the one guy who played the most endured 36 hours of this. 36 hours!!! That's it. No one bothered to ever get to the end of this sad mess, no one even knows how long it is, or if anyone knows none bothered to write a review. If you play the 2000's era games like Tachyon the fringe, Freespace 2, any X game or even the playstation one title Colony wars: red sun you will have a way better experience from the aged 2000 titles than what this one offered in 2014.
"Boy howdy I do wish I were actually Wing Commander!" I backed this on false promises.
Управление не плохое - оно ужасное.
Game is kinda trashy. Didn't have fun with it.
