Good game

Love it! It is still as fun and exciting as it first was when released back in 2005. Wish they made a sequel!!

[b]Played on: Steamdeck & Desktop PC | Rating: 4.5/5[/b] [b]What is it?[/b] An old school linear action shooter, following the story of a clone doing a variety of missions and leading a crew to the end. [b]Pros:[/b] Even for such a short and linear game, the story really captivates and tugs at your heartstrings. The dialogue between the squad felt oddly familiar to how a team that gets along would interact with one another IRL and made me chuckle a good bit. Despite the simple mechanics, the difficulty and weapon types varied greatly, leading to a game where I never felt stuck or got bored with the difficulty as it changed even mid-level. [b]Cons:[/b] Although there were lots of weapons, some felt VERY weak compared to others. Ex. The Wookiee crossbow. I tried to use it but it felt like it did no damage. Makes an otherwise cool weapon unusable.Also, I experienced some glitches and bugs, though they are expected for an older game and are not game-wide. Some of this may be attributed to playing on a steamdeck and Linux PC. Overall, there was only once where it was unplayable and I had to noclip to the start of the level. [b]Who would like this game:[/b] Someone who likes more classic-style shooters with a linear story and engaging gameplay. Being a fan of Star Wars helps but is not mandatory. Similar games include: Half Life, Golden Eye, SWAT 4 [b]Verdict:[/b] I came into this game knowing it’d be an older style game with simple mechanics. Nevertheless, it did not disappoint. It was such a fun little game to play, looking back at nostalgia that could have been had I picked this game up as a kid. It’s probably the best Star Wars game I’ve played and will continue to recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for something simple and themed in-universe.
