STAR WARS™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II - The Sith Lords™

A fantastic game from a more civilized age. Install the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod and you have a fantastic experience of a game. Biggest downside to the game is the starting/tutorial area takes a long time to get through.

Sure it requires quite a lot of mods both graphically and for gameplay to fix a lot of the "core aged" issues a game this old has, Such as the restored content mod. But once you get everything working. This game holds up really well spite the jank.

Absolute phenomenon of a game. A game I have played through many times through (3 times on disc & twice on Steam, hence the low playtime). In a very similar way to Fallout New Vegas, this game's greatest flaw is the sense of mourning it will instil in you as you dream of the content that could've been. Luckily for you there is somewhat of a solution for this grief. The Sith Lord Restored Content Mod is a must have for fans of this game, however personally I would play the game unmodded at first so that you do not rob yourself of the delight of the game as it is. The writing is truly a work of art and I had the fortune of experiencing it as one of the first games I ever played on PC. I am not naïve enough to let the brilliance blind me to the games flaws. The opening of the game can be tedious and it is a shame that the worst part of the game is its opening, since many players abandon the game before they can get to the brilliance in the game. I would recommend this game to anyone. I may have one or two complaints but do not let my pessimism dissuade from buying this game, as I think this is a game every RPG or Star Wars fan ought to play. Imo it is much better than the prior KOTOR and a true all time RPG game.

Well, technical issues with newer hardware and software aside, this is by far my favourite piece of Star Wars media in existence (Didn't read any of the books, though). It is thoughtful, it is gripping and it strays from the classic hero's journey we usually get in the movies. Everyone of the companions and story related jedi is kind of twisted and wrong in their own way, but they all have redeeming qualities as well. Kreia is of course the main standout character, but everyone else is compelling in their own way. Beware, the game is clunky as hell and basically D&D wrapped in Star Wars, but the story is phenomenal.
