Forget what everyone else is saying about this game, its peak 2000s. If you played this game growing up on Xbox and want to relive Mos Eisley hero fights with your friends, pick this up. Yeah you can buy the older ones at a fraction of this one and mod them, but I just want to pick up my controller, boot up the game, and relive my childhood.

I don't feel like I can recommend this version of Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2. You can still play the originals on Steam and GOG. Both still have an active player base for multiplayer if you are interested. There are some out there that have experienced bugs and glitches that weren't fixed by Aspyr. Although I haven't ran across those bugs. For starters: * the remaster or rerelease came out without crossplay * Modding is more difficult than the originals * The entire UI seems to be built around a controller even when navigating with the use of a Keyboard and Mouse. I do have a Steam Deck which works. I think this version is up to you but generally getting the originals will fair better. if you have the original just play that, but if you don't, its only worth it if you think you will enjoy galactic conquest, other games do most parts better, i personally like galactic conquest so i enjoying it, i tried online multiplayer but it was kinda mid.

Frankly, I know that this game was not totally well received, but its great. Its smooth, and still retains the classic elements from the old originals - good and bad.

I think the game is good now. Not great; good. What is good about this collection: - Both games in one - Achievments - Trading Cards - Bf2 doesnt switch around the resolution all the time anymore - Bf2 now has the original Xbox Content (maps from Bf1 + new Heroes) - Bf2 now has more maps for Hero-fights - Bf2 now offers full german audio (very specific I know) - Performance on both games are good What is not so good about this collection: - I had a buggy Trophy but I could get that one by doing an offline match - The Price. Both games in their original version are cheaper together than this Collection (both on sale and not) - Bf2 graphics seem to lack some "depth" but Bf2 never looked as good as Bf1, still Bf2 looks worse now - Generally the "enhanced" graphics could use some work Content I don't know about: - I cannot tell you how modding works on this. Seems like you can use certain mods from the og games - I cannot tell you about Multiplayer or how active / working the servers are I don't really care about MP or modding for this game so these are at best neutral aspects for me. Now I know about all the terrible things about the launch and later "support" for the games and we should not forget that(!!!) but right now I think the game is good. Again; not great, but good. For context however, I got this game cheaper than on steam (14€) and that definitely influences my rather positiv/neutral perspective. Full price is far far too much and even on sale I think it's a sturdy price. TLDR: Get the games if you care for achievements (when they work) and Cards mostly.

okay after buying and playing i gotta change my review to bad only becuase i cant save my multyplayerr progress to earn rank in bf2 its such a small stupid detail it has crashes and bugs its till the same old star wars tho with 2 maps and heros thats it tho

I like the idea of this pack, it is also nice to play the games at a native resolution above 1080p! I would only recommend this on sale or you just need some Battlefront in your life. the issues I am having as it stands are: 1: You cannot change button mapping on zooming? for some odd reason whenever you change the Zoom button it just stops working? how is this happening? 2: 2 player split screen? really? the OG Xbox version had 4 player split screen.... which is odd seeing as this version has a lot of things that version had. 3: the menus are console versions, they suck on pc, you have to click on everything instead of just hitting enter like on the OG versions. For ease of use and a base experience this is a decent game and works great on the Steam Deck! however as a complete package I find it lacking and requiring some touch ups to the UI, button mapping and lack of features now 20 years old.
