About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

Space truckin'. What more could you ask for? Game is VERY polished and the systems are cohesive. A perfect relaxation trucker game - in SPACE! (smuggling too!)
The transport system is great, the characters and setting fit the theme really well and the core loop is very fun. I really enjoyed the parts of the UI that were diegetic. Lights, temperature, cameras, sensors, even the radio were actually in the game, not just buttons, which made the experience that much more immersive. Get this game and play it as soon as you can!!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game! If you're gonna try it keep in mind repairs are free until 80,000 miles. It's different than traditional trucking games. You have to keep out for small debris quite a bit, unless you follow the cleared out high ways. Anyway I like the story, the voice acting, and the game mechanics. Haven't beaten the game yet but I'm close. There's a lot of customization for the difficulty settings so you can play how ever you want. Upgrades feel meaningful. Cosmetic customization is decent but I feel there could be more. However, it sounds like the producers of the game are still adding stuff as of April of 2026 so this could change. I love the environments! I found the game quite pretty with the different nebulas, space stations, and asteroid fields! Each location feels different too with different shops, routes, challenges, and economic prices on products. If you're tired of delivering trailers you can buy products cheap in one location and sell in another, being your own merchant using your cab as storage. I do like delivering multi trailer jobs though. If you think backing up a trailer in 2d is hard, try 3d. You can get away without backing up trailers in this game luckily thanks to the 3d mobility of the space truck. One thing I found disappointing was the fact I can't hook up trailers for different jobs. You have to do one at a time. You can accept multiple contracts at a time though, just can't deliver them at the same time. You can also work on multiple story threads at the same time too. I like finding jobs that lead me close to the start of a new story job. There's also an EVA feature! You can find salvage floating around! There's also certain areas that flag certain materials as illegal contraband so if you want to live that fantasy of a smuggler that's an option. There's security checks, weight checks, warp gates, speed traps, etc. You can plan routes around said check points so there's strategy too. Overall 10/10
This game overall is very well designed and you can tell a lot of thought went into the different elements of gameplay. It's a very satisfying loop of upgrading, purchasing and completing jobs, made much more enjoyable by being able to complete more difficult loads or longer journeys. It feels rewarding to keep your rig up-and-running by managing fuel, power, gravity, climate etc and the different sectors of space with different temperatures and hazards make it feel more of a challenge. The graphics are beautiful in my opinion with some of the junctions in the solar provinces looking absolutely majestic. One small complaint is that it can be very easy to screw yourself over, which can end up in massive fines or a long grind just to get financially stable, but if you are prepare well and with a bit of experience you can become very efficient at avoiding any common or inconvenient troubles.
Great premise but unfortunately very clunky mechanics. Neither playing with keyboard and mouse nor playing with a controller made controlling the truck less janky. As much as I was excited to get into this game I unfortunately cannot recommend it.
I had high hopes. the game looks great, the concept is really cool, and I was excited to hear the story that I'm sure has a lot of work put into it, but the actual gameplay ends up being a bit disappointing. The flight mechanics feel very unintuitive it feels exactly like what it would be if you meshed jet engines onto a semi but that might not be a good feeling. There is no easy way to control the vertical axis without looking straight down at the hood of the truck, which feels unnatural. I usually had a heavy, sinking feeling which makes sense for a massive truck, but it is also a spaceship, not an airplane. It feels odd that you can roll the ship freely without having simpler vertical movement. The internal gravity mechanic also has its issues. I have seen tips from other players suggesting you just turn it off, raise the stairs, or put items in the airlock, but id rather they just work as intended instead of requiring workarounds. Gravity drains resources quickly, and when it runs out, your supplies go flying across the cab which is fine but those items take damage, and they are the main things keeping you alive. Without a way to secure or strap down your cargo, keeping everything organized is harder than it needs to be its a futuristic space ship we don't have bungee cords? (maybe some d.o.t aspects with proper cargo stowing can be implemented) While managing maintenance is something i really enjoy, doing it constantly gets frustrating. on top of that the ship feels like its made of Styrofoam every bump into something seemingly causes penetrations to the hull no matter the hull integrity or collision damage level. The navigation could also use more clarity. The space guard rails and highway signs look cool and add to the atmosphere, but they only stretch for a short distance and do not offer much practical guidance for staying on a route, so I usually ended up just cutting across open space directly toward objectives which cause damage from debris. It has a great style and a fun premise i really want to experience everything the game has to offer but until some changes are made I'm going to stick to flinging myself out of the air lock and getting my truck repoed
Alright, I don't do reviews a lot so this is really saying something. This game is absolutely amazing! When it first came out in was on the game pass for Xbox (probably still is) and I loaded it up and immediately deleted it. For me, at the time it was too slow 😂. But now life is a lot different. I'm a dad now, and I'm busy with not only being a husband but a father! (best job I've ever had) I mainly play everything on my steam deck, I love having something portable that I can play almost all of my games anywhere! So I decided to give this game another shot since it was on sale and because I've been deep diving into slow burning games recently. Let me tell you, this game is fantastic. I was too stupid in the past to see that this is a diamond in the rough. It took a minute to get used to the controls and back up to trailers, stores, etc, but now I've gotten a little better and I enjoy it thoroughly. I just realized last night I can add custom radios so I added a couple local stations and a Bluegrass radio in North Carolina! WPAQ 740 if anyone is interested. It just makes the game come to life and a lot more fun. I really don't have any complaints about the game besides maybe the colors for the truck? I wish some colors were more bright. Purple for instance is very dull and flat. It still looks good! Don't get me wrong and I can make it work. Right now I'm rocking the heavy duty design and made it black and tan to somewhat mimic Snowman's truck on Smokey and the bandit. Sometimes a random civilian car will bump into a parked trailer before I can get to it and damage my goods 😂. I just like to think they suck at driving like people in real life. But that's really the only gripe I have. If there wasnt any customization at all I'd still have an absolute blast! After figuring out how to conserve energy I haven't had any issues. Keep it up Monster and Monster! This game rocks!
Bisou
Tough but fair gameplay. Awesome story & storytelling method (all through radio comms from other drivers). Scratches the driving game itch while keeping it interesting (i.e. In Space). Played through once earlier in the year and fully intend to play through again when the next major update drops in april.
