Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown

Ich liebe die Serie und ich habe es gemocht das Spiel durch den Abenteuermodus durchzuspielen. Jetzt spiele ich ein Lvl höher :D

I purchased this hoping for some "elseworlds" version of Voyager where multiple endings were thoroughly written and designed to allow dozens of possible outcomes. Sadly, they went full "Mass Effect 3" as in you can have a lot of slight differences of personnel or equipment but the ending is either they normal ending of Voyager or the Borg take over and you suck. Also, on a design aspect, there are several spelling errors throughout (not translations errors, spelling errors). For a minimally voiced game that requires A LOT of reading, they really should have reviewed the script several more times. TL:DR - Glad I waited for a sale but I wish I could refund it.

This game is really fun. I was kind of hesitant about buying it because of the bad reviews but honestly I have been loving it. So many fun cameos and references, and also just a fun game, I enjoy the variety of narrative events / ship management and research / combat.

Die Handlung findet zum Großteil in unvertonten Textdialogen statt, ab und zu gibt es aber nette Zwischensequenzen. Daneben gilt es, das Schiff auszubauen und auf der Weltraumkarte den Ressourcenmangel, der stets deutlich spürbar ist, zu managen. Unter diesem Druck müssen dann Entscheidungen getroffen werden, die den Spielverlauf deutlich beeinflussen. Serienkenner kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten und werden ganze Episoden nachspielen - besser noch, man kann sogar Wege gehen, die in der klassischen Story nicht probiert wurden. Dazu lesen die deutschen Originalstimmen von Tuvok und Paris ihre Logbucheinträge vor. Bereits auf der mittleren Schwierigkeitsstufe bietet das Spiel eine nette Herausforderung, die gerade Anfang eine Survivalstimmung aufkommen lässt. Und irgendwie will man dann doch noch immer erkunden, was einen im nächsten System erwartet….

yes this is a great concept. yes this is the game we all wish we could have had years ago. and yes i think im in love with this one. one thing though. when harry gets hurt and is in sick bay. after 8472. why does janeway refer to harry as they. Harry is for sure a male. who has no idea about any of the politics of today. way back in the day where this all comes from. so why is this in here. i really hope this was just a type O. because if its not. then i ask you. why are you trying to add this stuff. this is a series that we all love. you cant change the past to make it look like whatever you want. and if you do. you ruin the story.

I play on an older system so I had to turn down the graphic quality but still had fun. Rebuilding Voyager was great, I wish there had been more detail and progression in each room, or more smaller rooms. While a solid concept and clearly development ran its full course, I feel like this game was a bit rough around the edges and needed just a bit more ironing out. As a trek fan, I enjoyed it overall.

Its a what if storry with you in the captain's seat. It follows the original Voyager path but you get to make all decisions change the outcome to better or worse, In short: Could you have done a better job then the Captain Janeway? If thats sounds fun then this is the game for you! For me this game was spot on and I will 100% replay it to explore new ways throgh the storry just for fun.

Gute Umsetzung eines Star Trek Games. Davon könnte es ruhig mehr geben.
