A classic brought back for the new generation to enjoy. A wonderful adaptation of a Playstation port. Still in my top 10 for Jrpg's with fun reply value. You get 2 different main characters stories to choose from and then you can choose whom you want to enter your party which will change up the ending story depending on relationships. The combat is fun, a great mix between the sci-fi and fantasy, a solid story, nice BGM, and the mixture of the detail 3D environment with the updated sprites from the characters is a nice blend. If you haven't played this I will always suggest playing it. It will be worth your time.

I never played the original, but this remake is gorgeous and plays really well. The cast of characters are endearing, and the story is intriguing enough to push you forward to uncover the mysteries presented along the way. Overall presentation is great, and the action combat is really satisfying. There's plenty of customisation when it comes to abilities, gear, and character synergies. It still retains some of the typical old-school JRPG issues of repetitive encounters and music, but perhaps that's a sign that it has remained faithful to the original while still appealing to a modern audience. It's another great JRPG that plays well on Steam Deck, which is no surprise given it was released on PSP back in the day as well. Highly recommended if you're a fan of JRPG titles and, like me, have been enjoying recent HD-2D releases from Square like the Octopath series.
It's okay. There are a lot of flaws in the game like not being able to go back n forth between worlds to get what you missed or not a lot of bgm variety so they use the same bgm for different towns/worlds etc etc but overall the game is enjoyable. The graphics is actually really good i liked how they made the game like 2.5D Story is honestly just not bad level.. combat kinda sucks because of limitations of skills you can use per battle Anyways it was an okay game to play and i would recommend buying while on sale for 25-30$ Definitely not worth the full 50$

Better than the PlayStation game I played and just a few flaws- minor ones.

Wish I could give a neutral review. I wish they added more on top of the game, vs what they did, but still hits hard in the Nostalgia.
