I tried twice to get into this game and I just couldn't do it. Controls feel clunky, viewing angles feel unnecessarily restrictive given the core gameplay demands that you look in every direction, gravity switching rotates your viewpoint making it difficult to react quickly... the narrative is barely there, and generally feels more distracting than interesting. The sound design is all a bit uncomfortably tinny. The visuals are ugly and uncommunicative. Even as a lover of first person puzzle games and high concept / low production value indie auteur pieces like this, I was unable to wring any enjoyment out of this piece. I could sense that some real passion went into this, but I don't think it was enough to carry the project anywhere interesting.
嗯……虽然玩过很多类型的解谜……然而这个就是完全不对胃口……兴奋不起来 其实还是不错的游戏的……仔细想想的话 然并卵

Standpoint is a hardcore platformer with some puzzle elements . Emphasis is on quick reactions and split second decision making and on top of that the game is one of those where you don't know where the floor and ceiling are so it purposely makes you disoriented. On top of that the game is like Dante's Inferno, unsettling music adds to the feeling of anxiety and depression. The look of the game also adds to the overall horror feel. I never played a game like this and I liked it in some aspects but I couldn't finish it, in fact I got to chapter called Anger Pt 4 and I can tell you my anger was at 100. The reason for that is that I suck at this game but my anger was in large part directed to the feeling of what this game could've been. Large potential but some decisions are just questionable. If you make a game like this your audience is small but the developers tried to stuff to many thing into one game and in the end that resulted in people not wanting to play the game. Only 7.7 % of players got to Anger Pt 5 (that would be half the game) and 4 % finished the game...that says a lot . I will recommend this game BUT ONLY if you want to torture yourself because this game is uber hard and very unsettling.
I thought the game was ok with a few annoyances such as the annoying sounds/voiceover, obstacles blending into each other because they are all translucent and bright which makes them invisible extremely often, the pop in for some walls being deathtraps (they look like a normal wall until you are about 5 feet from them) and the pickup item being the same button as the change gravity button was also sometimes obnoxious then I got to bargaining part 1 and got stuck because I literally have no clue what to do. you get to a dead end set of interconnected tunnels which is sort of like a big room with huge pillars in it (some lasers are spanning between the pillars) and there are 5 closed doors (6 if you count the entrance/savespot) and nothing else, no button, no gravity doors, only patterns on the floor telling you which way to go and even when followed they do nothing, none of the doors open, nothing happens (I even tried looking up a walkthrough but none exist that I could find) so it's a dead end which is how I'm gonna rate this game
This is a platforming game, and those who expect a puzzle game may be disappointed. While the navigation of the death tunnels does require new insights and different ways of looking at things, the amount of agility required to execute the changes of perspective in a small amount of time may frustrate those who aren't veterans of the platforming genre. Then the level names start to sound all too apt: Denial, Anger, etc. The progression of the game covers the five stages of grief, and you learn more about the narrator's tragedy by finding secret alcoves. The theme seems appropriate, as it requires a massive change of perspective to move on from loss. I will admit, though, that at times the journey seemed endless, and I wished each level were 25% shorter. Gamers experienced in platformers may enjoy the interesting way that you rotate the world around you by changing your Down. Previous ways of doing things are no longer possible. To advance, you must find a new StandPoint.
very good game. i first played it at minecon in the indie zone and it was very fun. you should buy this!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB61UnfHr54 there is something about falling into those corridors that pump my adreline. great.
Very cool game. It's something different than all other games that are realised. I didn't play lot yet, but even first stages are hard to make it sometimes. This game compare together arcade, some action, lots of puzzle and fun. It shows that there is no need to make all those graphic detail to make game look preatty. for me, there is only 2 things missing - Workshop, and built in tool to make comunity levels - Some storyline, but i am on begining, mabe i just didnt got it yet. but to finish. I am personaly not a big fan of puzzle games but shooters, but this game is one of games i love right now, very cool, and it give me some satisfaction when i pass levels, like in portal but in a bit different way. i give 9/10 right now, becouse music and voices are also very good and climatic.
You can´t jump.
Just brilliant. A very fun, extremely interesting, upbeat puzzle game about gravity manipulation. I felt happy just by getting into the game and hearing the music play.
