Growing up i really enjoyed playing spyro on the playstation 2 and i was so excited to hear that they were making a remastered version. I played through it a bunch on my steam deck and it ran pretty well on it. The issue i have with this game is the fact that they made this game and they completely ignored any bugs that it has. The one bug thats a huge no for me is when you are playing it on the steam deck on offline mode and it saves it to the local file on ur hard drive. When you go back to online mode. The steam cloud save over rides ur local save when the steam cloud is not the most current save file.
Like with the Crash Bandicoot remake trilogy, I had zero affinity with Spyro as I have never owned a PS1. Its pretty good and charming, I really like the visuals. Its a lot easier and relaxing than Crash though, you can see it was more focused to kids. Im almost at the end of Spyro 1, but I dont know if I'll jump to the sequels straight away.
Un excellent remake, avec les mécaniques du jeu de base ! Un tips en revanche !! Mettez une limite de framerate inférieure à 120Hz pour éviter plusieurs bugs, je ne le savait pas, mais cela change la vie quand c'est fluide et sans bug de déplacement.

Разработчики проделали титаническую работу: они не просто подтянули графику, а сохранили ту самую магию и атмосферу оригинальных игр. Картинка сочная, управление приятное, а уровни исследовать всё так же интересно. Идеальная игра для того, чтобы собраться теплой компанией, передавать друг другу геймпад и радоваться каждой найденной статуэтке дракона. Однозначно рекомендую всем — и олдфагам, и новичкам! Если вы думаете, что фиолетовый дракончик — это игра только для детей, попробуйте пройти уровни с полетами на время! 😅 Проходили Reignited Trilogy втроем: один собирает гемы, второй разносит боссов, третий страдает на скейтборде. Это шикарный ремастер, который дарит море позитива. Картинка выглядит как дорогой мультфильм от Pixar, саундтрек качает, а геймплей затягивает так, что не замечаешь, как пролетает вечер. Отличная игра для совместного прохождения (даже если игра изначально одиночная — передавать контроллер после каждой смерти никто не отменял). Однозначно брать!

Spyro 1 is completely fine, minus a bug in one level that requires you to briefly switch to 30fps. For Spyro 2, everything up to while not including Gulp is also fine. Everything including and after Gulp is just straight up not fun and bad (which is the later third of the game). Spyro 3 is a mixed bag. Most of it is fine, but from what I've read, compared to (all of) the PS1 games, there are random instances of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficulty for no reason. Gulp is one of those instances, but apparently so are the skateboard physics and the Twin Dragons in Fireworks Factory. There's too many issues for me to give a positive rating. They should've fixed the random difficulty changes, but given that this came out back in 2019, it probably isn't getting an update any time soon.
The remake lets us play these games again, and remember what it felt like back when we were 8. Amazing work, and an amazing remaster.
