Very glitchy port :(
Controls and camera are ass. I was never a big fan of the original so I'm not blinded by rose tinted glasses.
Pros: This trilogy literally healed my childhood. Back then, I could only play the Spyro 2 demo hidden inside CTR (using that legendary main menu cheat code, you know the vibes!). Playing the full trilogy now feels like a core memory unlocked. The graphics, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the music—everything hits right in the feels and makes me feel like a kid again. Cons: Honestly, the first Spyro the Dragon game is surprisingly the hardest. Some missions were so frustrating they made me lose my mind, but at the same time, I was having the time of my life. It’s hard to explain that love-hate feeling, you just have to experience it yourself! PC Pro-Tip: If Spyro feels like he’s sliding or skating on ice while moving, do yourself a favor and cap your FPS at 120 or 60 instead of leaving it on maximum. Lowering the framerate completely fixes the slippery physics. 10/10, a masterpiece.
Absolutely worth the money. Runs really well at 4k on my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080! Beautiful, enjoyable, fun game!
The graphics are awesome but the movement, the flying and the camera are horrible
Really disappointing.. was so excited to play, picked it up on a big sale. First SECONDS of gameplay and Spyro is running in place. Jumping gets you out of it, but it would occur each time I rescued a dragon. I don't wanna ignore a movement bug so early in a platforming game.. I grew up on these games, how hard could it be to get a PS1 game to just... work?
I’m 6 years old again, sitting on my bedroom floor playing games after school
Cool game :D
