Best game ever made
If you've never played these games, then this will be a very fun, easy bunch of collectathons for you to complete. If you have played the original PS1 versions, you may either love seeing them with modern graphics, or you may dislike the revised character and environment designs. It should be mentioned that some areas and general physical traits aren't 1:1 with their original versions, and may require bizarre finesse from the player that wasn't required before. Some forms of movement are really messed up as well, like speed boosters, sliding/skateboarding in Spyro 3, and worst of all, bosses that the camera locks on to. At times, bosses almost made me feel like I was using tank controls. If you have access to the original PS1 games, playing this collection is very unnecessary, but regardless, I had a nice time and I do recommend Spyro in general. If you can, play with the framerate set to unlimited, because I had it on a cap of 60, and that caused an enemy in Spyro 1 to behave in a way that softlocked the level.
Beautiful graphics, with colourful, Pixar-like characters packed with personality. Unfortunately, I found it too simple and was bored. I only played the first two levels of Spyro 1 and 2, so perhaps there are more challenging puzzles later. But having to spend the first 30 minutes debugging the game dashed my confidence in it's quality.

Game crashes at launch, do not buy
Unfortunately I can’t recommend this game. It’s so incredibly bugged to the point it’s unplayable. Spyro gets stuck to whatever spot he lands on and the only way to move is to jump. This can also happen if he’s stood still for any length of time. He also just drifts along the ground without you moving him. It made certain areas of the game completely unreachable. So disappointing because I was really looking forward to playing the trilogy through. But yeah, this is just sloppy.
The original trilogy are, as a whole, in my top 3 favorite games/franchises of all time. This reignited trilogy is a fantastic purchase!
