Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy

[h1] Childhood Classic That Still Holds Up [/h1] Spyro 2 was the very first PS1 game my parents bought for my sister and me, and we were hooked from day one. We spent countless hours playing all three original games and eventually went back to experience the first one properly as well. Fast forward to adulthood, and I bought the Reignited Trilogy on PS4, where I proudly 100% completed all three games. When I recently saw it on sale on Steam, I couldn't resist buying it again and starting the journey from scratch on my Steam Deck. Playing Spyro on a handheld felt surprisingly perfect. It reminded me why I loved these games so much in the first place. The visual overhaul is fantastic. The worlds are vibrant and full of personality, while the music still hits all the right nostalgic notes. Having all three games bundled together in one package is a treat. The gameplay remains simple, accessible, and incredibly addictive. Before long I found myself obsessively hunting down every gem, orb, and dragon egg just like I did as a kid. Some habits never change. What really makes Spyro special, though, is its charm. The quirky characters, silly side quests, funny enemy reactions, and unique worlds give the trilogy a personality that many modern games struggle to match. Sure, there are a couple of missions that can still test your patience. The Alchemist escort mission is every bit as frustrating as I remembered, and a few Hunter challenges can be annoying. But those moments are tiny blemishes on an otherwise fantastic experience. Whether you're revisiting a childhood favorite or playing these games for the first time, the Reignited Trilogy is easy to recommend. And with rumors and excitement around a potential new Spyro game, there's at least one grown adult here who's more than ready to jump back into the Dragon Realms again. 10/10... Still pure magic after all these years.

Why on gods green earth do people equate Good Remake = Good Graphics = Looking like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ plastic dildo piece of ♥♥♥♥ stop making stylish games into smooth junk why the ♥♥♥♥ does the character design look like Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs and not in a good way. Sick to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ death of remakes looking like this. I cannot fathom how this happened get your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ McDonald’s remake out of here. Not to mention this is an unoptimised piece of ♥♥♥♥ with camera issues that twisted my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts back to front. On PlayStation it was tolerable. On this… no. There’s no excuse. Where is my style? Stop trying to blow out my retinas there are no edges to cradle me in. Such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly remake. If you don’t give a ♥♥♥♥ about steam achievements just emulate the originals. Thank ♥♥♥♥ they let you swap the OST to the original so I can at least pop my ass while getting seared… something which is not an option with the crash remake. ♥♥♥♥ you.

Je m'attendais à mieux de la part de ce jeu. Spyro est une icône de la PS1 et j'ai grandi avec le premier jeu, et je me disais qu'il était enfin temps que je découvre les suites via cette trilogie remasterisée. Pour parler des bons points : c'est graphiquement très joli, les décors sont variés et enchanteurs, les musiques agréables (quoiqu'agaçantes au bout d'un certain temps), les doublages sont bons et la prise en main est très simple. Pour ce qui est du reste : les contrôles ne sont pas toujours agréables, notamment pour les combats en arène ; Spyro souffre d'affreux problèmes de collision rendant certains vols planés extrêmement justes et, quand on pense que le public cible des jeux originaux ne dépasse pas les 10 ans, la difficulté est par moments plus qu'absurde (le combat contre Gulp est une véritable purge, en grosse partie à cause des contrôles mal gérés). [i]Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy[/i] peut être plaisant à jouer, mais il est frustrant à terminer, d'autant plus qu'il n'a rien de particulièrement marquant. Si vous souhaitez le prendre, attendez impérativement une réduction.

The graphics are awesome but the movement, the flying and the camera are horrible

An amazing 3D platformer! As someone who never played a 3D Spyro game before, the Reignited Trilogy was a great time! The final boss of the first game was underwhelming and annoying though. Of the three games, that’s really my only complaint! Easily recommend to fans of Spyro, 3D Platformers, or anyone just looking for a simple game that reminds them of a game from the early to mid 2000’s!

It runs fine sometimes, but every cutscene plays at 30FPS and the game lags extremely frequently, almost every minute. But I guess I expected nothing more from the geniuses at Iron Galaxy.

A really well done remake. Honestly. I've seen people bash this and it just isn't warranted. Yeah they amde SOME changes art wise but really this is probably the most Faithful remake I've seen on this scale. I absolutely LOVED these games as a kid and these were great. HEADS UP: The Game DOES work on PC. For me, I set the Framerate to Unlimited and turned on VSYNC. But from what I have seen online this can change depending on setup. But if you have trouble with the game mess with the settings and it should fix it. Pros: - Animation/Graphics are phenomenal in quality - Gameplay is smooth - Childish but amusing humor - Incredibly faithful design - 3 games for the price of one. SERIOUSLY if most any major studio had done this they'd have charged WAY more. yeah they are short but they definitely could have. - It's freakin adorable, seriously sometimes I found myself just chuckling at Spyro's silly little running animation Cons: - It's a kids game don't be expecting it not to be - Shelia. I think this was the only change i HATED. But mods exist so I got rid of her wig and makeup and was fine OVERALL: This game is great. But, it is a kids game. I honestly don't know if I would have enjoyed playing it if I hadn't played the originals as a kid hard to say. But if you liked the originals...or are a kid NOW I suppose. It's a phenomenal remake that brings the heart of the original trilogy to modern games. PS. If you hate some minor stylistic thing Mods exist and are easy to use and there are a bunch. But really not a fair criticism of the remake as a whole.
