This is a quick puzzle game, and strangely fun. Took less than an hour to run through, but now I have to go back and explore a little more and do some in-game shenanigans. You NEED proper roomscale (10'x10') space for this game to go properly. You'll thank yourself for clearing out the space just to play this little gem. If nothing else, this game is a great excuse to throw some old stuff out if only because it's taking up your valuable roomscale gaming space. *You will NEED to be wireless for this game, or you will trip over your cable(s), destroying them and possibly even injuring yourself. *
A fun true walking locomotion puzzle game with beautiful rich and colorful graphics. Definitely worth the download!
Sürükleyici bir VR Yolculuğuna çıkın Endülüs'te yolsuzluklarla dolu büyülü bir kuleye doğru yolculuğa çıkın. Sihirli eldivenlerinizi kullanarak kulenin akıllara durgunluk veren yürüyüş yollarında ve gerçekliği değiştiren anlarda ilerleyin. Gizemlerini çözüp kuledeki huzuru yeniden sağlayabilir misin?
Meta Quest 3S. No information when booted up. I can't seem to walk anywhere, thumbsticks did nothing. Tried to go to room behind me, but I physically walked into the wall. I could see there was a path there, but the feet just don't move anywhere. Doesn't seem like it's for sitting folk, but for people with mall-sized walking spaces. Can't get past the first rectangle room with the bars on window and walkway behind me. I'm just glad the game was free, otherwise, I'd have to find out how to process a refund.
"Spellbound Spire" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. The students made a short VR tech demo, a simple adventure/escape room deal set in a magical tower/castle thing. Solve a few puzzles by waving your arms around in VR, then uninstall. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. It would be unethical for students to try charge money for their homework assignments, so you don't have to pay any money for this. But you'd still have to spend your time downloading this, and "time is money", as they say. So much for the matter of pricing. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
There is no joystick movement or teleportation, which is very unfriendly for players with little space:( 没有摇杆移动或瞬移,这对空间小的玩家来说很不友好
One of the best experiences available for anyone wanting to experience the true largely untapped potential of Virtual Reality. I'm sad these guys never made another game as it is by far one of my favourites for newcomers to VR and the potential to take it further is vast. That said, if you get this you'll likely play it more than many of your paid for titles, so don't let it gather dust, slap your headset on and take a stroll through the impossible and mind warping Spellbound Spire!
