good
Pretty cool little game! It's a single dev and only $5 so can't complain too much about the short length. It's a cool concept that has good potential. The crafting is fun, there's really not any alchemist games(that i know of) and I think it's really well done. Obviously I wish there was more but I knew it wouldn't be super long for that price. But, yeah, good job, hope to see another similar project from this dev!
Best game to play love it and thank you.
Very short, took me 3 hours but I was also trying to 100% clear the hole. The game is about 80% crafting and 20% digging. Insanely grindy making all the potions. Maybe add a pin recipe? And increase the inventory more!
The pacing was surprisingly good, and the music is fire Only like 2 or 3 minor complaints, but nothing super important comes to mind I made sure to dig a walkable ramp all the way down, not sure if that made my life super easy or not, I think it it did. I assume that was better than spending mana to fly or teleport, but I had to be careful not to break it.
Great Game Simple but keeps you thinking and relaxing to play
Solid, fun game, super entertaining. Perfect for when you want to dive into crafting and magic, mix up all kinds of potions, and just lose yourself for a few hours. The mechanics are satisfying, the pace is relaxing. Highly recommended if you enjoy alchemy, creativity, and cozy gameplay with just enough depth to keep things interesting
A good game that is missing some quality of life things, but if you are looking for a game like this i would recommend. QOL i would recommend A chest system so i dont have 100 ores in my house a way to drop a stack of things/with the auto miner a way to not just fill your inventory with 48 green then have to deal with it.
very good game and fun
Overall, this game is good for its price. I got it for $4 on sale, but even its base price of $5 would be acceptable. It's very short and doesn't really have much replay value, but overall its good. The only other digging game I have played is A Game About Digging A Hole when it first came out. Compared to that, this game is a lot more complex. There's more crafting than digging. Even the most complex recipes in this game only have a depth of 4 or 5, so if you've ever played a game with even basic crafting you should be good, but it may be a bit of a shock if you're coming from games like AGADAH that has no crafting and all upgrades are locked behind money. This game has no money, all upgrades need to be crafted. Again, coming from games like AGADAH, this game has far less digging. Once you craft all the basic spells, you unlock a way of renewably generating all the ore resources, which completely negates the need for mining except to explore. After this point, ore stops spawning anyway and the assumption is that you'll just be digging little tunnels big enough for you to walk through. If you're looking for a game that doesn't require any thinking and you just go and dig, there are probably better games out there, but if you're willing to remember a few crafting trees, this one is good. One problem I encountered during my playthrough is I struggled to find key items. This was completely my fault because the direction to key items is very linear and the direction from each point to the next is clearly labeled, but I missed multiple directional signs during my playthrough. If you're stuck and can't find a resource, I'd recommend just going back through and looking at all the signs you passed (some sign posts have multiple signs), or if you don't see any signs by a structure, excavate it out a bit more. I felt that the final crafting recipes were lacking. The last few recipes were just a few crafting layers deep, and most of the resources were just given to you in chests so you don't really even have to do any extra crafting to get them. They felt much easier to craft than some of the intermediary recipes. The ending would be more satisfying to me if the final potion to craft had a far more in depth crafting tree of 8 or 9 layers, but I also understand the need to aim the game toward what is probably the target audience of people who are primarily looking for a game about digging. I think the water and wood system could have been implemented better. Wood is vital in creating crafting stations and water is used in nearly every crafting recipe. Wood is fine because its not used very much, but water is required in literally every step of progression. This results in lots of time being spent just clicking on the water well. As far as I could tell, there was no way to automate it like you could the ores. Since water is such a vital resource, I would like to see a more fleshed out mechanic for getting it, like finding it in underground pockets, and then finding the well present in the game later in the area with the other renewable resources, along with an automatic pump or something to automate its extraction. However, just having a well at the top is also good for managing complexity. Overall, I think the game offers a good amount of content at an acceptable quality for its price. Expect a little more thinking than other games in the genre, but nothing very complicated if your acquainted with other crafting games.
