Spell Alchemist

Nice little time sink for a few bucks, fairly fun too.

I'm just gonna do a straight forward review on this game. The mining loop of digging then mana recharge craft a thing or two then go back down is fun, but once you get the auto miner you never touch an ore again. It doesn't help that the auto miner is very inexpensive and has the same holding strength of your chest. The crafting is intuitive and not overly complex to anyone who's played a sandbox game like terraria for example. The wings spell honestly needs a bit more speed, once you get the teleport you never touch this spell unless u are falling really far down. I would like to see more music because after the 1st hour it gets repetitive, and I ended up putting my own on for the remainder of the playthrough In the end I enjoyed the game the crafting felt satisfying and I would recommend you check it out.

I played this game on my YT channel and I had so much fun with it! The game is short, but I think the price is appropriate. The graphics are charming and the gameplay loop is very enjoyable. I especially like the path of discovery I had to find the next best thing. Alas, maybe I should have paid more attention to the arrows. I spent a lot more time in this game than many will, but I really enjoyed tooling about. The progression tree made sense and overall it was a fun and chill game - I recommend it! One of the better digging games I've played. The ONLY downside is the inventory and chest QOL can be improved. But if your a fan of the Digging Genre, hit this one up

too short and the plot premise is silly. you can beat the game in less than 4 hours. inventory too small even at max upgrade. resource gathering is tedious. - i like that the potion crafting requires specific ingredients, it just takes a heck of a lot of one ingredient to being double refined to make end game stuff. even when you have auto mining you still have to keep going back up and down so much to get the resources you need. you can get blocked by the strangest snakes of dirt pixels. arrows tell you where to go so there really isnt any exploration on your part. its literally just straight down. really not much of substance. i can at least say i paid for 1 dollar an hour (including tax), so there's that.

This game forces resource management in a fun way, adds a magical flair to the idea of games about digging, and is able to make a resolution that felt nice to me. :-) This game was fun and worth it
