About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum

Great game to test your friendships - the game can be pretty tough but feels very fair. There are lots of moments playing this game with friends where it feels like someone in the group is in action movie hero, whether that's busting in to finally kill the alien that's been hunting you down, or running off of the ship before the whole thing explodes. Genuinely enjoyed playing this game and it's an easy purchase as the fun is worth the low price tag, looking forward to more time with friends playing this one.
jai cliquer Oui pour la recommandation mais je resterai neeutre. Serait encore meilleur si il y aurait de nouvelle cartes, nouveaux monstres wr nouveaux equipement.
I like it
Bro, best game
vivement les prochaines mis a jour !
it's alright but I'm tired of the enemies always camping me all the time, especially tired of that one always trying to force me to look at it and forcing my camera. Ima mod the game to eliminate the flaws for the time being till they're fixed but the enemies are kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
There should be a mode where you can be the monster and hunt your friends. Otherwise very good game, fun with friends.
Good game but definitely needs some more time in the oven. The basic gameplay loop is Pick Mission -> Load In -> Power On Ship (one map as of now) -> Complete Puzzles/Objective -> Extract. The good parts are that its pretty well made, very replayable, and it can be scary at times. Each mission will randomly pick a monster to hunt you down, some are better and more interesting than others. You can tell what monster it is before it jumps you by looking at the corpses around the map, a detail I found pretty neat. You get credits for completing missions, which you can then use to upgrade yourself/gun/buy tools. You are also able to upgrade your ship and unlock a new mission type. I find that the upgrades are a great way to keep me coming back as I love progression. Besides upgrades, you can also unlock information about the different entities by completing missions, resulting in a room in the lobby for you to view the subject. Some of the monsters are pretty boring and finicky, especially the one that basically forces you to tongue kiss your friend the entire game (fun). Also dying even at the end of the level gives you nothing, I think thats a little rough for a 20 minute match where you finish all objectives except extract. Especially if your gonna do some bs like spawn the monster in the ONE hallway that you can exit the area from.
Have you ever wanted to join a team of under paid dudes to go on some mystery operation in space where you're probably going to die horribly to some unstoppable killbot or some strange alien creature? Well now you can! Get Species Unknown today and test your wits against a trove of individual sci-fi horror concepts as they try to rip you to shreds! Buy it today! [This AD was NOT paid for by horrible space sci-fi concepts hoping that you'll buy this game.]
one of the best games I've played with my friends and we all enjoyed every minute when we all first played the game for the fist time we didn't know what we needed to do cause of the doors was locked we played the first mission for 4 hours straight just to find out to go to that locked door we got to go to the vents and we all cried finding out we wasted all that time XD enjoyed every second of this game
