this game is so much bloody fun, the art and environments are awesome, the music is amazing and hitting parries on stage hazards for speed boosts is like crack to me. it also runs really well on my crappy, aging laptop (runs better than spark 3) which is a major bonus for me!

I like this game because the lore is shown to not only have all that action feeling but as a showcase to how Fark's character arc evolves as he fights memorable opponents, like Astra & Romalo, Flint, Double and Float. And to a stop for a legacy of evil. For context in Spark 1, he was the average rival you'd face with. However in Spark 2 he does have a DRASTIC character development. Being more mature depending in any situation.
If you enjoy 3D Sonic games, you'll enjoy this game. It plays like Sonic Adventure but with more momentum and less automation. It can be difficult to stay in track inversions and long loops, but mostly that's the tradeoff of getting full control of your character. The story succeeds in spectacle and melodrama and is a valuable part of the experience. The music is top tier. This game is incredibly fast and ridiculously fun. It runs great on my Steam Deck.
It's better than Sonic Frontiers but that ain't saying much. Ill try the third game since apparently it's better.

its such a good game my favorite part is how smooth turning should not be on by default because the terminal blah blah loops are so hard with it on oh my god (im on xbox controller)
