About
In fractal space, the map contains itself. Going to the center takes you back to where you started. You can never reach the center!
Learn to navigate the fractals in hyper-fast PvP combat.
There are infinite copies of the map, with a copy of you on each map. Be careful, don't shoot yourself in the back!!
Your opponents have copies too. Shoot any copy to kill them.
Fractal space is just 1 of the 6 impossible spaces:
Horizontal Loop - the map repeats infinitely in all directions
Minimap - a mini-version of the map exists within the map. Jump inside to land back onto the map
Mirror Mode - the map is reflected and so are you
Portals - enter a portal to another place in the map
Vertical Loop - fall forever!
The single player roguelike where you fight endless waves of heads in all impossible spaces. Can you beat Atomic Pete, or will he erase you from existence?
2-4 Player multiplayer deathmatches
10 Fully destructible and impossible maps
Single-player survival horde mode
Turn on ‘Psychedelic Mode’ to mess with your friends
Abilities to flip gravity, spawn decoys or disguise yourself as a box
Cosmetic gun skins for all 10 weapons
Controller & Steam Deck support

I dont understand how a game that's been in early access for 5 years can be so low quality and unplayable. I originally saw this years ago on reddit and followed it because I like fractals. One of the recurring complaints was the devs kept pushing marketing videos but never responding to questions or suggestions. Now that I've played you see what that approach achieves. It's a mess. -- It's a multiplayer game with no players for a start. I tried several attempts creating and searching for a lobby to no avail. On two occasions I found players it immediately crashed prior to starting the game. Had to restart. No bot support either. - The only gameplay I managed to play was its horde mode. It's unpolished and there's nothing memorable. It's just a few random floating enemies that spawn. Weapons arent particularly to use, nor is aiming. No objectives, just wandering until something spawns. -- The UI seems like a first pass created in MS paint and never returned to for a second iteration. Check out the character select screen for a really bad example -- Visuals are overall poor and unpolished. Take the laser weapon for example, the laser visual doesnt even align with the weapons barrel, It will lags in a direction based on the movement of the player. I you move right the laser will be offset a few inches to the left of the barrel as if it's lagging. -- The fractal element which originally attracted me isnt fun. There's only 1-2 that have impressive recursion. The rest use a simple portal mechanic similar to portal or splitgate. With the exeception that the portals dont render under you get close, they'll be black from a distance. Once they make the switch there's a stutter in frames ever time. This is just a tech demo with a lazily created shooting mechanics slapped on top of it. There's overall nothing I recommend about this game, even at a few dollars. Given the dev's history of not listening to feedback during a 5 year early access period, I doubt that will change either. I've added some supplementary images in the comment to the review
full release of the game -no new maps -♥♥♥♥♥♥ paid weapon skins dont buy this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I feel bad because I actually think this game is really really cool, something the genre hasn't seen before, and is pretty well-done mechanically. Thing is, it's also fairly close to the same state it was in years ago. I won't knock the dedication of the developer and I understand that these things take time to develop (from personal experience), but to an extent I'm just a little disappointed that this game spent such an egregiously long time in an Early Access state while seeing so little feature-wise improvement beyond a couple of new maps and the horde mode. It should feel especially notable that nearly all marketing done for the game on social media is recycling the same set of 10 videos that the developer recorded years ago, easily discoverable by scrolling back on his oldest posts about the game on reddit and twitter. It's a small multiplayer game so just be aware that you'll likely need to join the discord to find games on an average basis, that's the unfortunate reality of most niche indie pvp games. I just feel conflicted, iunno. I'll give the dev this much, bringing the price down to $5 was an incredibly respectable decision to make. It's not at all "not worth it" for the price point, but I just feel a little bit let down seeing as the game feels similar to what it was back in 2021. I look forward to this dev's future projects and I really do think they should move on to other projects. They're clearly a talented programmer, and this seems to be beyond a project seeped in diminishing returns at this point.
Great concept, great visuals, dead game. No players or no servers and support ended from the dev.
Game hardly works in the state that its been in for who knows how long at this point. Scumbag dev that went the route of AI and cheap asset flips for DLC and art assets in general instead of paying the people who actually helped with the game early on.
I cannot reccomend this title to anyone given the current state of the game. The dev lost touch with the state of the project, and after years of little progress/mismanagement, all we're left with is a bunch of overpriced micro-transactions? Beyond dissapointing, even for the indie price point.
I wish I did not see this game on threads. While I love the concept you can't even find people to play this game with.
This concept proof game is truly awesome. I actually appreciate above all that you managed to work on the game to a degree that even extremly low end PCs can play and lose none of the actual experience or quality of the game. I do wish you could make the multiplayer more active and usable & make the servers actually browsable in a list format like in CS, and that you'd add more powers and make the guns & super powers actually customizable to the micro of degrees, as well as that you'd add further customizational abilities in the settings, that would be awesome. Please make a forum in which you listen to everyone's experience, discuss and improve the game. Thanks for this experience, some don't understand you worked on it alone from what I understood so development is somewhat slower, for me, totally worth the buy.
Nobody playing. Game is janky.
Creator sucks ass
