If you're a fan of the Zero Escape series, this game has extremely similar vibes. A great little indie puzzle game with some really cool artwork and some fun voice acting, plus a neat story. The escape rooms are also extremely fun. Highly recommend.

Might be inspired by Zero Escape. The anime artworks are unique, and the puzzles are kinda a bit tough. Awesome game, the puzzles are amazing. i couldn't stop playing, always curious what the next escape task will be :) Love the whole atmosphere of the game, really has this spooky escape room vibe.
Just finished this. I had a lot of fun playing it! I think the puzzle/escape rooms are the highlight of the game. I found them really enjoyable to play through. The hints system was good enough that I didn't get stuck anywhere, but the difficulty was high enough that the puzzles still took time and were satisfying to beat. And for the most part, each room felt cohesive, too...it didn't just feel like random puzzles scattered throughout an area, it was like a real life escape room. I would say the puzzle rooms take up a good chunk of the playtime, so it was definitely worth the price in my opinion for those alone. Besides the puzzles, I liked the story, and the setting and characters feel unique. The horror elements were good and weird and didn't rely on jumpscares to be creepy. The art style and voice acting was great, too. I wasn't as much of a fan of the mini-games, and there are quite a few short ones, but there's the option to skip all of them if you want, which is a nice option to have.
There are to much timing games and speed games in here. i bought this for the puzzles, the speed and timing games ruiind it for me what a bummer.
The game is a mix between an escape room and a visual novel with a rather interesting story. There are mini games on ocassion that are skippable thankfully if you are struggling with them and just want to finish the story. I really enjoyed my playthrough of it personally and recommend it to fan's of puzzle games.
A lovely escape room with an inventive story and puzzles that can be difficult without being full of moon logic. Has rather decent quality voice acting for an indie game and a consistent art style (with some of the games I've played this is high praise). A couple of the minigame styled puzzles were a bit wonky (minesweeper and the ball maze) but there were no noticeable glitches otherwise. I recommend this to anyone who likes escape rooms and wants to support a small developer.
Really enjoying the game so far. The puzzles are difficult but rewarding and I like how you can learn things about the story from inside the rooms.
(While I do not recommend the game for most people, it is a must buy for a very specific subset of people. Read on) Insert mandatory lament about no "mixed" option here. It feels petty to give a negative review to a 1.5 year old game with only 30 reviews to its name, but the buyer deserves to know what they are getting into. If you are a galaxy brained escape room enthusiast who laments that you have cleared all other offerings and that those other offerings held your hand too much- this game might be for you (but see notes below!). For the rest of you though, Escape Simulator or Escape Academy are two much better and complete packages. For context on the critiques below, I do escape rooms IRL as often as I can round up friends to do so. We have a high clear rate. I've got a balanced escape room skillset so I feel like these observations would be corroborated by your "average" escape room goer. 1. BIG LOGIC LEAPS A number of puzzles require big logic leaps. Even using the hint system (more on that below), what to do and where to do it is not always clear. 2. INCONSISTENT AND INADEQUATE HINTS There are no global hints if you are stuck, only puzzle specific hints. Hints vary widely in their usefulness. I found I had to play with the steam guide up for actual help on the puzzles. Sometimes the hints were needed to even begin to understand the logic I was expected to follow. 3. LACK OF MID-PUZZLE FEEDBACK Most good digital escape rooms have mid puzzle checkpoints or some form of feedback so you know where you are off. Not so here in most cases. As such if you come up with a solution you have to take it to the end- and if it doesn't work, it is unclear if it is becaue you had the right idea and executed wrong vs. are not on the right track. This is made worse by... 4.OVERLY LARGE PUZZLES / TIME TO SOLVE This further exacerbates the issues above. In one puzzle there were (14?) numbers I had to input. Inputting each number required me to wait and time a click to input the number. Even if I know all the answers, that is a lot of effort/time. And if something is wrong- starting over is quite painful. 5. BACKTRACKING This is your mileage may vary. I prefer escape rooms with more linearity than having to reference a piece of paper from six rooms ago. This game has a lot of instructions being in the other room. Hope you have a pad of paper or clipping tool ready. 6. FIND THE PIXEL / COLORBLIND UNFRIENDLY I hate find the pixel "puzzles" and this game has several. Exacerbating this, several puzzles are colorblind unfriendly and I just had to look up the answer or skip them (by the by, only "inter-room" puzzles are skippable). 7. LAB RAT TESTS / MINI-GAMES WHY Chances are if you are playing an escape room, you aren't looking to test your hand-eye. Yet there are several "puzzles" like this. These games were not fun, and if you are someone who is not skilled here, you are going to hit a major roadblock. These tests can't be skipped (at least from what I could see). If you love a challenging escape room this game could still be for you- but be prepared to suffer through these to get them. I can appreciate the idea of wanting to add variety, but I questioned my decision to ride this train to the end when I was forced to play a poor man's version of games like minesweeper and pong. --- While I enjoyed some of the puzzles (I liked the demo enough to buy the game), a lot of baggage comes along with it. Ultimately I think I'd have gotten more fun spending my 5-6 hours some other way.
I really wish there was a "just okay" rating. It wasn't horrible for an escape room type game, and will scratch that itch for many who are just looking for a puzzler visual novel. However, I found that several elements didn't feel flushed out and just made it hard to finish. The story was strange and grotesque. and the games were tedious or unnecessarily complex. Choices really don't matter as the game is linear and blocks progress until previous tasks are complete. I enjoyed the memory rooms, but the demon games were exhausting. At some point about half way through, I just wanted to get to the end and started skipping puzzles. Total playtime is around 5 hours so if you get it on sale, and you enjoy eccentric horror stories, then it would be a recommend. For the general puzzler audience, I think this is a pass.
