This indie game is extremely fun, relaxing, and a huge effort for a small indie game developer. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I really don't understand the negative comments, especially from the reviews where clearly the player has somehow never played a Unity game that has device conflicts -- which is more than half of them. Just unplug your joy devices if you want mouse and keyboard. That's a 5 minute fix which leads to hours and hours of great entertainment. I went back into YouTube and watched this developer's dev diaries leading up to the release two years ago. He worked on it for 4 years. The thought he put into the puzzles and mechanics around fixing space station and satellite problems is really great. That said, I wish he would continue development because the game could add even more, like damage to the player for flying in too fast to a satellite, disabling clicking on a panel when you're moving too fast, and a time-bonus system where the faster you complete a task the more reward you get. Still, the game stands on its own pretty well. I throw on some gaming music from youtube running in the background then try to figure out how to fix things with the Rover on the moon, solve puzzles in space and make enough money to get my next levels of training. I wish I could encourage the dev to do a version 2.0 because space games are now all the rage, it's a popular time and I think it would get a lot of attention. For anyone who likes sims and is hesitating, really, just go for it. If you're not using a gamepad and want kb/mouse, disable your joysticks/rudders/etc and settle into this world of repairing broken space equipment like a boss astronaut for a little while.
The level of detail and systems being simulated here is fairly comparable to Stationeers (if you're familiar with that); Almost feels like a combination of Stationeers and Hardspace Shipbreaker... in the sense that there are very in depth systems to manage and fix, along with taking various contracts from a company that loves to charge you for the very air you breathe (pretty tongue and cheek humor); This is definitely a game you can sink a ton of hours into, grinding away at various space mechanic related tasks. If that sounds like something you're into, then this game is a steal for the price. (currently picked it up for 11$ on sale) Can't even get a decent lunch for that price anymore.
Great game! The controls accurately reflect the astronaut’s movement capabilities. The UI provides excellent information to the player about everything they need to know. The mechanics themselves are done very interestingly and immersively. Each twisted screw is a great pleasure and satisfaction.

A very enjoyable game, perfect for relaxing after work. The physics of the game and the space simulation are major highlights. The repair system is complex, but everything is clearly explained to the player.

Místo zábavného opravování pak hráč zbytečně tráví čas přehazováním součástek v inventáři, což zbytečně prodlužuje hru a narušuje imerzi. Přesto je to zábavný simulátor s velkým potenciálem. Stačilo by doladit logiku inventáře a systém správy náhradních dílů a zážitek by byl o úroveň výš. Rozhodně to není hra pro malé děti. Za mě bych doporučil alespoň 13+. A jako vyučený slaboproudař ji s klidným svědomím doporučuji. 🙂 After about 9 hours of playing on Hard difficulty, Space Mechanic Simulator offers a solid challenge. The repair system is the game's strongest feature, with enough depth to keep every job interesting and rewarding. The biggest downside is the inventory management. Selling items doesn't always work correctly, and some parts get stuck in the shop, which feels like a bug. The recycling system is also poorly balanced, as repairing completely destroyed parts (0 HP) often costs more than simply buying new ones. Another issue is the lack of automatic replacement of broken parts from previous missions with working ones. Instead of focusing on repairs, you end up wasting time manually managing spare parts, which unnecessarily slows down the gameplay and hurts immersion. Overall, it's a fun simulator with plenty of potential. Fixing the inventory logic and improving the spare parts management system would make the experience much smoother.
Love challenge!
Comme trop de jeu, il est configuré en QWERTY et est optimisé pour la manette de jeu mettant de côté les adeptes du clavier. Il n'adapte pas les touches de clavier dans les explications de l'introduction
The preview video isnt really what the game contains. The colors are different for example. For me i had a little bit of fun but after a while it just gets repetitive. It always says: Something is broken, fix it. Then you repair or buy a new thing and replace it. Also the diagnostics are really simple and too simple for my experience. unfortunately i cant really recommend this game. Rather play Rover Mechanic Simulator, thats much more fun somehow :)
