Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

Reviews
A Year and a half since "early access" launch and the game is still missing a massive amount of core game functions and features. Not to mention almost any update is going to cause issues with each save. Keen is more than likely going to put out a fantastic product, but I doubt it will be ready to play/use within the next two years. That plus the fact that this game is more than likely going to be bombarded with DLC just as the first game was is pathetic. The good features are... It is visually very nice. Creative mode building now that the game has mechanical blocks. Base game speed limit has been increased. You can swap batteries between grids so a ship can be recovered if it runs out of power. Importing blueprints from the workshop mid game without subscribing is super convenient for trying new ships. Rotating blocks while building feels nice and easier compared to the first game. The area welder is a great addition to the hand tools. The problems and issues are... Survival is currently very one dimensional with little to achieve or do. A lot of the game features can become buggy or broken with small updates. There is no enemy AI. Weapons are back to base game SE1 with only having fixed or turret Gatling gun or rocket pod. There is no projectors which makes repairs very difficult. The UI is large and clunky. Many blocks have little to no customization in settings compared to the first game. You can not open your helmet on planets and can just die if your battery runs low. There is a lack of ambient noises from machines, SE 1 has so many unique sounds and SE 2 feels empty. The jetpack being limited to 45 m/s with unlimited fuel unless you burn it all in 5 seconds with boost is stupid. Constant visual bugs with the UI lowering in quality and menus being invisible. A large amount of blocks aren't mentioned in the development roadmap or are in game yet (artificial mass, vents, hangar doors, projectors, only 2 cockpits, 1 door, no jumpdrive) Honestly the devs are very focused on this water update it seems but what's the point if the game is riddled with bugs, issues, and a lack of content to use? What about playing with friends? Actually having something to do/achieve in survival? It seems like Space Engineers 1 is release content at a faster pace and with higher quality. If I was you, I would just pretend this early access doesn't exist until they release a 1.0 version which is a complete, stable, base version of the game. There is significantly more issues than solution and progress is very slow. Developers shouldn't use early access as a two to 4 year "trial period" under the guise of "access" rather than put out a sound product with a good foundation and update it later.

On the lowest possible settings, it's playable. And brother.. I'm playin' it. Nothing will keep me from playing this game.
Already loving it, guided tutorial was a nice refresher after a while off the game from SE 1, cool to see a bit of a story start to work in, game runs well on my setup which is below the recomended specs, klang feels slightly less angry in this new realm minus the moment he partnered with the abyss and claimed my mining ship on first start up then launched me through the floor and out the other side of the planet before i had a chance to save the world haha, definitely still space engineers, loving the QOL changes
Its playable now, crashes less and runs smoother. Still no multiplayer though...... Fun time over all. lots of stuff to do for the price.
I had 500 hours on SE 1, but i didn't feel any objective and it was a rough experience, but even now im having SO MUCH FUN, the combined grid makes this game fantastic, i'm looking forward to see updates, but only a few times i thought that i needed some adjustments!
At the time I'm writing this, SE2 is at the point of being playable and fun, but there's still a ways to go. My two major complaints are the lack of airtightness mechanics and a build planner; once they add those (since they're already in SE1, I hope it won't take them too long), this will easily be the best space game.
very extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good
Absolutely recommend it to anyone. This is a very intelligent game and i enjoyed the first one. I came in early so i could take the ride i missed last time. take the opportunity to get in early and learn the game deeply as it is developed. it seems more enjoyable as it feels quicker and easier to build. The mod support is great, highly recommended.
Не работает на A770, притом на B580 запускается.
So far, really good. The latest update has sucked me back into SE....
