Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.
Space Engineers 2 is available now in Playable Alpha. By joining during Early Access, you can play the current version, share feedback, report issues, and help shape the game as it grows toward full release.

I have over 4000 hours in SE1 and I see myself putting even more into SE2! Space Engineers ticks all my boxes! Not to mention KSH is probably my favorite developer of all time! Its awesome how they are rolling out SE2! I love the idea of letting the community play along through development! There is no doubt in my mind SE2 will be everything we hoped for and more!

Dont care about the bugs but this game as of right now is super lame because it cant do multiplayer yet.
Still early, but with over 1k hours in the original; I would say this has great promise! Check it out if your a fan or on the fence. All the barebones of the game are finally in and FUN. The big thing is Optimization has increased an order of magnitude over the original. See You Space Cowboy.
Built a ship. Highly reccomend.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK we need multiplayer asap
Coming from SE-1, I love it! It's a work in progress but OH MY GOD they really really fixed the early game grind. There are so many more quality of life features that make the game easier to get into and learn! It wasn't buggy and I've been thoroughly enjoying it so far. Thanks Keen, keep up the good work! The game understandably went a bit more on the spectrum of harmless fun than ultra-realistic. Leaving planetary atmospheres no longer takes ages, you can create basic stuff from raw material using your welder tool, your backpack can carry way more stuff, etc. This plus the quality of life features just makes it feel more like a fun sandbox and world to explore than a grind. For newcomers, you could hop on now to try it out and give the devs more support during this process or wait til it has all its features, up to you. For old timers, I'd recommend giving it a shot, it's a lot of fun.
tenho acompanhado o desenvolvimento do game, esta muito bom. tenho desde o primeiro no xbox a anos, estou com muias expectativas neste tambem!
What’s here now is a great improvement over the first game. The quality has increased substantially. The features currently work well, and I haven’t run into any game-breaking bugs… yet. Playing classic survival has been really enjoyable. It doesn’t feel early access because it’s buggy it feels early access because it’s missing features, which is okay. I’m very happy with what’s here and how playable it already is. In the first Space Engineers, I have around 600 hours of playtime, which in this community is barely scratching the surface. I remember fighting bug after bug, but I still loved it. Space Engineers was actually the first game I ever purchased on Steam, so needless to say it holds a special place in my gaming heart. I think the game still needs some time to cook. When YouTube videos say it’s as feature-complete as the first Space Engineers, I just don’t think that’s true. A big thing I see missing is ship pressurization. Right now, there isn’t much of a reason to build a larger ship other than because you can. If you do build a larger ship, it’s mainly to carry smaller ones… unless I’m missing something. I’ve been able to thrive quite well building pretty basic ships. I like to have a reason to do something in a game; otherwise, I almost treat it like a business and only do what’s needed to keep progressing. I made a quad-drill mining ship that’s basically just a flying cube, and getting resources has become very easy. I don’t even really think about it anymore. The initial survival start was a good grind. I haven’t played the new survival mode yet, which I hear is a huge improvement over classic by giving you a reason to go out and explore. I like that a lot. Even looking at the roadmap, I think the game is still missing “real” survival. Food and water consumption would add a lot. I know water is on the roadmap, but I’m not sure what we’ll actually be able to do with it gameplay-wise beyond some really cool physics-based mechanics, which is still exciting. I think engineering isn’t just about building machines. There’s a human element that can make engineering really interesting, especially with spaceships. Where do we store water? How much do we need to reach another planet? Does that planet have the resources needed to sustain life? That’s the part of the game I feel is missing. Farming would fit into that too. Building a functional greenhouse on your ship would be really cool. Another space-crafting game in a similar style does that part really well. However, if Keen made a feature like that, I think the quality would blow the other game out of the water. I fully recommend this game in its current state. I feel like I can easily get another 60 hours or so out of it just from the current survival gameplay alone. It runs well, looks great, and it’s a massive improvement over the original. If you just want to build cool stuff, the possibilities are endless. When the game hits 1.0, it’s going to be one I play a lot. These developers do a really great job of giving you more game than they charge for. They’re one of the few studios left that still feels like they do this. They seem to genuinely enjoy making it, and it shows. My personal rule is I like to get at least a dollar per hour of entertainment out of a game. I’m already well above that, and I still see a long road ahead before I reach all of my survival goals.
для фанатов первой части пойдёт, для остальных реккомендую подождать выхода игры. у меня иногда вылетает, так что пока буду ждать когда улучшат оптимизацию
