About
Soul Drifter is an atmospheric single-player first-person platformer set in a surreal underwater world.
You’re a fallen angel in an unfamiliar world. Master your skills to save captive souls in this atmospheric adventure.
Soar into heart-pounding parkour runs on courses only possible for someone with wings. Rack up airtime as you glide across vast chasms, dash through obstacles, and flap your wings for a powerful double jump. String together moves and enter a flow state in which you’ll barely need to touch the ground. Just manage your stamina carefully — there’s nothing to catch you if you fall.
Take on fast-paced parkour courses that put your new skills to the test. Muster your courage to enter the final challenge of each level — a massive factory that will challenge both your movement accuracy and reaction time.
Step into a surreal, unfamiliar world. Encounter wide open underwater vistas, narrow factory corridors, and towering structures meant to communicate with the gods. Why are other souls kept imprisoned here — and what did their captors intend to do with them?
Glide through the air by mastering the stamina system
Activate special moves like dashes and double jumps
Explore levels in a great variety of different biomes, from natural vistas to dangerous factories
Collect hidden data tablets to learn more about the strange world you've landed in

Great indie game, super challenging especially towards the end. i did notice a few bugs. When you slide towards a edge you get shot down into the ground. Other than that, I really loved the level design and I really hope some time trials come out!
I would put rather neutral review as this is perfect 10/10 game ruined by too sparse checkpoints especially near the end i've reached very late area where there was giant hall and running through circles with damn a lot obstacles, tunnels, rings, wallruns, vent fans and no room for breath made 1st sequence of that room somehow then spent more than half hour on part above and this is where I gave up, its way too long please consider add more checkpoints, don't ruin this otherwise amazing game I would be more than happy to see at least ending but there are no walkthrough vids of soul drifter at all, nobody who respect time will suffer through so many crazy sequences without checkpoints

Beautiful art style and fun gameplay, although the difficulty of the game should not be underestimated at times!
Soul Drifter is an excellent 3D platformer with a charming storyline, and a cool soundtrack. The level design is great . If your looking for a 3D platformer look no futher. This game is very much worth your time.
This game has so much flow! It's really hard to put down, because you drift seamlessly from one level to the next. I liked how each new game mechanic is introduced as a layer that is added to what you already learned. That way the difficulty progresses well (I never had the feeling of a section being too easy or difficult), while having no tutorials. The world building is also interesting, the strange settings and architectures keep the game interesting despite it being mainly focused on gameplay, rather than story. One thing I only noticed a bit late in the game: The amount of extra jumps you currently have is displayed around the cursor at the center of the screen.
so niche👍
Wonderful plattformer in a beautiful but strange world. Very nice level design and art. You'll definitely have fun with it and get into a good flow. This game makes addictive #gowiththeflow
Very good game! Graphics 8/10 Music 8/10 Gameplay and Level Design 9/10 It's a challenging first person platformer that gets progressively harder, but it's a joy to play because the controls are very good and it's satisfying to complete the hard parts. The game plays very well with a PS4 controller, I think I played 90% of the game with the controller, and 10% with mouse/KB (There are some very hard parts you need precision through laser tunnels and it's next to impossible trying to do it with the controller). I beat the game in 9 hours, I would gladly play much more! I hope for a Soul Drifter 2. A couple of observations: -I wished the devs worked a bit more on the lore, there are some datalogs you find in your path, but very few so the game doesn't have much of a story, and some of the logs had the exact same entry so that was a bit sloppy. -The ending is quite bad, you just enter a room and pull a lever, the screen goes all black and there are some explosions noises and the game ends. not a good ending for such a great game, I hope the devs work on that and update the game with a better ending -ACHIEVEMENTS! The game does not have achievements, so there is no replay value. I don't see myself coming back to it if there is no new challenges to overcome.
A first person jump and run (and glide) game. I like that the environment looks like it is underwater but is not underwater in the same time. The Sound is also nice. The jump and run parts are not to hard and not to easy. I died a reasonable amount of times in each passage i think :D Have not finished it yet thoo. Nice little game. What bad things can i say? Well sometimes there was yellow text shown in front of a yellow background that made it a little hard to read but thats a very minor issue.
The final stage, at least I think that's where I've gotten to, has some of the most frustrating moments of any game I've played this year. That being said, I'm unlikely to ever finish the game because I've just given up at this point. Now that the hard truth is out of the way, what did I think of the game? Overall I think it is good, and it is one of the better first person parkour games out there at the moment. We have a nice variety of levels, some really cool level design, and the movement works pretty dang well at almost every opportunity it has. I enjoyed seeing the world and coming up with my own head-cannon reasons for what was going on, but there are some story bits that play out as you progress that give you a more proper understanding of the world. I think it is a good form of storytelling, but I do wish there was a bit more that went into some things I'll likely never get an answer to. How long did the process take? How much time passed to make this planet turn into what it is today? But yeah, I've got no idea because I didn't finish. I do wish it had some kind of permanent upgrade towards stamina to make some of the later levels a bit easier, and perhaps some checkpoint changes that made dying not such a long process of going back through difficult areas to progress. The music is good, mostly an ambient melancholic vibe. But it also has some faster paced music that plays in some areas that is also pretty dang good.
