About
In the world of Nano Neighbors, your desktop becomes home to a futuristic friend. Bond with your customizable NANO, style it, assign it tasks, and watch it grow alongside you. Build a cozy capsule space, connect with others online, and let your NANO thrive while you work, game, or relax.
In the future, NanoCorp revolutionized society with NANOs - advanced androids designed to work, protect, and evolve. But their greatest discovery wasn’t in circuits or code - it was in connection.
As a Handler, your bond with your NANO determines its growth, efficiency, and potential. The stronger your connection, the more your NANO thrives - and so does the world around you.

Personalize your NANO’s appearance to match your style. Upgrade and enhance them as they grow alongside you.
Design a cozy, futuristic capsule where your NANO lives. Decorate with furniture, gadgets, and upgrades to create the perfect space.
Assign your NANO different tasks and jobs - whether it’s crafting, gathering, assisting with research, or even taking on unique missions. They can earn rewards and income for you to spend on more customisation!
Turn your Discord server into living social hubs. Jump in with your friends, explore, and play together inside Nano Neighbors — even if they don’t own the game. It’s a new way to hang out, play, and build community without ever leaving Discord!

Interact with your friends’ NANOs, visit their capsules, or invite them over to yours. Watch how their NANOs grow and evolve in different ways.
Let your NANO live on your screen while you work, study, or browse. Whether actively engaging or passively watching, your NANO is always there.
Streamers can let their viewers interact with their NANO using chat commands - helping with tasks, sending gifts, or even joining their capsule home to keep them company.

I really wanted to like this game/software so much. I'm a huge fan of such 'bottom of the screen' idle games. Once upon a time, I also had little Shimeji-ee guys running across my screen. I love the idea of just having a little guy hang out on my screen, and using it as an alternative hangout space for my friend group. However, as other reviews pointed out, this is NOT an idle game. Any of the minigames you have to do are actively distracting. They refresh after short minutes, inviting you to play immediately. (And the little update dot on the games button won't go away?) The games are cute, but also not interesting enough that I would want to play them over and over again to make any progress. I have noticed that the furniture in your room sometimes gives you some extra coins, but I don't think that's enough to consider it passive income. And a lot of the room deco and clothes is locked behind making progress on the minigames, so you can't even ignore the games and just decorate. The character creation is fairly limited too. The rooms either have very dark wallpaper or a very sci-fi spacey aesthetic. No rustic little cabin, no cute little greenhouse, no cozy little gamer home. The clothes range from hoodie (hoodie down) to hoodie (hoodie up) to hoodie (cute animal ears) and a single kimono. No tank tops, no cute dresses, no cozy scarfs, no fantasy clothes. There's a handful of hairstyles you can unlock via minigames and collected coins, but you can't change your haircolor. At all. The lack of variety for a game that's all about customizing your little guy is really shocking. The only thing this app has going for it is a cute pixel artstyle. It could be interesting with the twitch integration as an on-stream chatroom for subscribers, but outside of that, I really don't see a point in sticking with this. The system itself has potential, but it needs a lot more work to make it interesting. More customization variety. More focused on making little hubs with your friends. I think it would be fun if you could design your own little pod, and then attach it to those of your friends and make a hub of connected capsules. And for the love of everything, don't make the cosmetics locked behind minigame progression. Find something to make it more interesting as a little idle game. Make it more of a little productivity software that rewards you for focusing on whatever else you meant to do. A little virtual body doubling app. A little thing where you can collect more rewards co-op or gift friends special items to incentivize inviting more people. Just... do something more than it currently is.
I'm so let down by this game. I was really excited to try it. Learning I can't customize my nano outside of dressing them was kind of depressing. There really isn't anything that makes this feel like a 'good' idle game. There's nothing idle really about it. You have to play mini games to get money, and the money flow hardly feels good. In the time I played, I realized I did not want to sit and wait for mini game timers to get money. The mini games only lasted a minute or so, too. Then the fact that there is a time to wait to do it again just makes it feel bad? I'd refund, but lowkey I'm hoping changes are made and the game improves because it looks so cute and I really wanted to like it. But for now unless things change, I'd suggest avoiding this game if you're looking for a good idle game. Honestly it kind of feels like a tamogotchi pet without anything that made those enjoyable
A small gem among idle games. Extremely cute, relaxing, and pleasant to play. The online component adds extra value to the whole experience. Highly recommended!
it's an okay idle game. as others have said the mini games take up a lot of time if you want to purchase furniture/decor. some are locked behind job levels. the asteroid and delivery jobs aren't really that fun so i don't really want to level them but i might eventually for the unlockables. the cooking game is fun but the streaming game i'm not really sure what i'm doing most of the time. it's just a gamble it seems and streaming appearance isn't that customizable. i maxed out the streamer job so i just let the job play out and use the slot machine once in a while. there IS idle money from furniture/pets. there's coins that pop up every so often and the slots, arcade and drink machines, even the money figurines give about 80/5m. i think they might max at 2k if you don't collect. furniture layering is whatever you clicked on last is the front most which is fine except when you're collecting money it does mess up the layering or it could move furniture around if you misclick. it's just that all of these machines can be kind of ugly if you want to make the most idle money lol there's not a whole lot of variety in funiture and the aesthetic is kind of all over the place? idk i think it'd be nice to see more stuff eventually and a feature to lock furniture in place. UI is a little wonky, if i try to scale up, it messes up the cooking game. i assume it will mess it up for the other games as well. there also doesn't seem to be any window lock function so that you don't accidentally slide the window around. as it is right now, i prolly wouldn't recommend this idle game but i'll prolly check back once in a while to see if new stuff has been added and update my review.
very cute game, loving the new full idle mode! really hope that the devs expand on the customization and furniture options more in the future, as well as offering a way to sell unwanted items to get some coins back as i found myself getting lots of duplicate items from the random job rewards that i won't ever need. overall, adorable game just to let sit while you chat with friends ^^
Nano-Neighbors
For its price I could say that, in general it is a good game, as entertainment for some free time or as software to decorate the screen in an animated and interactive way the truth is that it is very useful, my only complaints would be: 1) that to level up the "professions" it consumes a somewhat unnecessary amount of time if you want to level up quickly, especially the Streamini profession, which within its event system has a ridiculously high probability of producing negative rates that can lead you to lose all the experience generated over approximately 10 minutes, and it does not have any mechanism that compensates it or even balances it, you are only left with exiting and waiting for the time to reload. 2) that it is not possible to connect the capsules and build vertically, that on this side of the world can be considered false advertising, there is surely some trick like it is not possible to do it if from the beginning you built horizontally, what a disappointment, but everything else I think fulfills its purpose.
很像挂机游戏,但是不是 需要在游戏内通过小游戏打工,小游戏还不多 基本上每个小游戏都需要紧紧盯着。
Long review because this is truly a cool game and I feel like pouring my time into describing it to hopefully help somebody make an informed purchase. Whatever I've said here you'll find in first 0.5 hours of the game, after that it's everything on repeat. Cute interactive desktop toy you can have chilling on top of things, sometimes fiddling with it in case you want a mental break. It has idle mode but I'm doing it the traditional way by just playing the minigames and messing around with it. Soundtrack is there to keep you company and it's a nice addition to it, it's really good too. It's simple looped tune but that tune really plays into the relaxing and comfy aesthetic the game has going for it. -- Customization & Social aspect Customization is really limited there's only really one hair color but plenty of cute clothing you can dress your nano in. Social spaces are dead nowadays so the chat room aspect is gone and social aspect along with it. The game is way past it's prime unfortunately for those who were looking forward to that. You can visit two spaces or open up your own for anyone to join. These two spaces are really nice and make it easier to get in the mood to even roleplay if you so wish but they're nothing too amazing either. It's just a train ride space and a shop street space. Since this game is more or so just a shell of it's former self, it feels like exploring a dead MMO that used to hum with life and many untold stories. It just feels incredibly lonely. -- Minigames Minigames are alright, you can spend your coins to upgrade specific gameplay elements in them. Most of them are quite short and last under a minute, the longest one being Streamini. Streamini consequently also being the most flawed minigame out of them all where it's next to impossible to level up as it's unnecessarily punishing. Like yeah so is normal streaming but getting XP debuffs left 'n' right or even having the game smite your gains in half is just cruel. Delivery is mostly getting a hang of when to yeet the package, Cooking is my most favorite one with it's very simplified but fun approach to fast cooking simple and more extensive meals. Asteroid shooting is shortest one and it's just something to kill time with. That's all minigames in the game and some of them would've benefited from having more content in them. Playing minigames and earning levels earns you both currency and pieces of furniture & clothing. In normal mode pieces of furtniture and clothing are locked under minigame levels which would be great but... those level requirements are quite high. Example: Level 15 in Asteroids, Level 7 in cooking and so on. In idle mode, that is removed but you don't earn money from doing minigames. -- Interactivity & Immersion Game tells you that you should right-click and see if something is interactable but barely anything is. Mostly beds that allow you to sleep and very small handful of items. That giant arcade cab you got? Yeah you can just lock it and that's that. The couch at least makes your nano enter coma, they won't get off by themselves so you can leave 'em be and come back and they will still be napping which is lame. Placed furniture earns you idle income. There isn't much variety in terms of furniture, this is more Sci-Fi oriented game so everything will be high-tech and somewhat gloomy at the same time with bright stuff here 'n' there. Which is a shame, I would love for this game to have as much cute things as possible to help it detach from that cold look. From time to time your nano will want to talk to you but I suppose they're not the best at social interactions since all I got back was "I have a feeling you only click me to see what I have to say" and "Click me again and I will act like I don't like it". I'm also socially awkward so I can relate to my little goober on the screen. -- Integrations There's Twitch integration which I think spawns your viewers inside the game and maybe relays their message but I think it's just the first one. You can visit your friends too but eh, like I've said this game is dead nowadays and chances of your friend owning this is fairly slim. -- Bugs After visiting any public space, the game will keep multiplying first room. It basically dupes the first starting room every time you go in and out of social spaces so you'll endlessly be granted two - three rooms that you will need to manually remove each time. The rest of the game I didn't find anything too jarring to complain about so that will be the only thing I will talk about here. -- Final thoughts Honestly I've expected more but I suspect developers have moved on from this game and it will remain in this state for eternity. I don't blame them, this is a social game and like I've said, it's dead. 2 players in-game at the time of writing this review. Still, It has that cute framework going for it, it just lacks more interaction and more interesting elements, maybe even interactions with our nano. I kinda came at it expecting like a tamagotchi-style game and all I got was more or so fancy wrapper for an chatting app with toys to kill time with. Either way, I do still recommend it because it really reminded me of times where everything used to be simpler and way more relaxed, it's a very comforting game that calmed down my frayed nerves a little.
It's okay. Overall I'm fairly neutral, but I expected more. I thought I was going to be able to customize my nano from the beginning, but I can't even change their hair color. I rarely seem to catch people in the social hubs, and when people are present, its a bit of a bummer that everyone looks the same!! I enjoy the minigames, the concept and the soundtrack, and I like a lot of the furniture and outfits, but the lack of customization in general is a big bummer. It's typically one of my favorite parts of a game like this and I think it would really elevate the game to feel more like the mid-00s chat games we used to have.
