Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 31 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Some of You May Die is a strategic autobattler where you assemble a team of heroes and upgrade them to absurd levels of power. Test your skill against other players in Online PvP!
Breaking the game IS the game. Stack upgrades and heroes to level them up. Invest gold in customizing your heroes with full control over their stat sheet.
Want a high armor priest who reflects incoming damage? You can do that.
How about an assassin with lightning fast movement speed who skips your opponents defensive line entirely? Yup.
No two heroes are the same! Every time you are offered a hero, they come with a different combination of Boosted Stats and an Ability that give them a unique edge. These combinations create a huge amount of variety. After choosing a hero, you are offered dozens of highly synergistic upgrades to push the customization even farther. This empowers you to create ultra-powerful teams that feel completely unstoppable - until your opponent reaches for the perfect counter.
Realtime & Async Multiplayer: Face other players and put your strategies to the test. Matches are full of clever counters so it's never to late to stage a come-back! You can choose between Realtime Multiplayer or Asynchronous Multiplayer so you never have to wait for matches.
A Constantly Shifting Meta-Game: Each match has a different pool of upgrades a randomized squad of heroes to pick from. This keeps the meta-strategy fresh every time you play!
Deep Customization: Each hero comes with 2 Boosted Stats (like health, attack speed, or range) and an ability. Boosted Stats start higher and upgrade faster than a non-boosted stat. This means that each hero offered in the shop has unique potential and some can be upgraded to absurd levels of power.
Become Overpowered: Stack heroes of the same kind from the shop to level them up. Leveled heroes get a significant boost to their stats, making each level a meaningful step up. Invest heavily in one or two powerful heroes or go wide and flood the battlefield to outnumber your foes! The choice is yours.
Stack your Upgrades: Level up your heroes' upgrades too! Upgrades offer a high variety of customization. Some add effects to your heroes' attacks like Poison or Stun. Some trigger actions on events like "on death" or "on kill". Leveled upgrades become significantly more powerful which leads to highly strategic and specialized builds.
Matches are tactical, full of wild synergies, and will have you on the edge of your seat right up to the end!

released too early and very overpriced for what it is, cant recommend at all
I really like the gameplay, but the lack of meta progression really makes my interest fall off quickly
The gameplay is tedious and uninteresting. It feels like the pile of systems was added to the game on the principle of "just because." The hero progression concept is boring and uninspiring. Instead of focusing on a few heroes with interesting abilities and development paths, there's a bunch of faceless mobs that are completely uninteresting, You'd be better off looking at Doomfields as an example of an excellent autobattler. Price tag not worth the game too. At least in my region.

The game is less about being hard and more about being lucky. I had a great time learning the basics and beating the first mode. However, the second mode gives you units that are almost entirely unless except the mage and golem which can scale into the late game. You need exceptional luck with items to actually clear this mode. The only thing that matters in the long run is Poison + mask on a magic missile mage with a tank. You need to get lucky on their boosted stats (mana for the mage and armor+HP with the golem). I find myself resetting the first round 10+ times to get an optimal start. These problems are compounded in the Glass Cannon mode except you don't get a tank and therefore you need to get lucky with the summoner and his respective items. This plus a poison magic missile mage might get you to the end but again you need to just be lucky. You either need to make a lot more gold or the rerolls need to be cheaper. Also it is really dumb that in Glass Cannon mode you can start the game without a unit that can even deal damage. I shouldn't have to reset just to be able to play the game. Most items and characters overall seem very weak and overpriced. The baseline kit of your units simply don't scale right even into the second floor leading to a complete reliance on items. To reiterate most items and units suck. The only good units are Mage, Summoner, Tank, Golem, and Archer (although archer is weak into the midgame). Priest with regen is actually useless. Herbalist and Bard are useless because they take too long to provide any value as rounds last 10 seconds. Assassin needs to be invisible till he attacks otherwise he just naruto runs into the frontline and instantly dies. What's sad is that this is better value than most units as he can at least kite the enemies away for a second. Most other units are mediocre. Geomancer has a very confused/undercooked kit. The boulder synergy is very clunky. The only good item combos seem to be poison + mask, Detonate + Feign Death, and summoner related items + on death items. Some items are generically good but most do not scale even into the mid game. The upgrades are very expensive. Hopefully this game will rebalance the items or enemy scaling. I had fun while playing this game but it has issues.
This one needs more time in the oven to address balancing and content issues. Gameplay falls off after the demo; the full game offers new scenarios and difficulties, all which must be unlocked by beating the previous scenarios and difficulties. The scenarios each have different restrictions on the selection of randomly offered classes and skills, which would be fine if the RNG actually gave a uniform chance for any of it to appear. The classes are implied to all be the same rarity, yet I've had runs where some of them just never showed up. For a game that relies so heavily on unit synergies, that's a major problem. After about 10 hours of actual gameplay I've beaten two out of seven scenarios, gotten access to all the units in the game, defeated the same end-game boss twice, and have apparently seen everything the game has to offer. Frankly, the only reason I made it this far was by exploiting a bug that allows you reselect the opposing team after losing. (Which I'm not going to report because it's an option that should exist to begin with.) It might get better with future development, but for now I can't recommend it.
Not a bad game by any means, but I bought it hoping for a fun multiplayer autobattler. Unfortunately, your opponents can just alt+f4 and hang the game indefinitely in the current state of the game. I refunded it for this reason, but I will return if that gets fixed.
I enjoyed the demo. The balancing here is abysmal. If I wanted to be frustrated, I could just go to work.
Fun game, but i expected a lot more content for the release. If they add meta progression, more units, better multiplayer (ASYNCH MULTIPLAYER WOULD BE THE BEST, LIKE OAKEN TOWER), then this game could flourish. Thumbs up hoping that the dev will continue to add content/updates. If it stays like this for a long period of time, I would change to negative
It has a lot of balance issues often associated with early access. game doesnt inform you that besst practice is to quit & restart early on until you have an average first line-up most rolls will prevent u from clearing standard. that said, multiplayer can get u stuck indefinitely if ur friend closes the game as theres no timer... i like the music, tone, design... balance and finish makes me think price is wrong, not gonna refund but i would state that its price matches games sold for 2-5 euro not what its priced for. to be fairly honest i am gonna shelf this game hoping its fixed/balanced in a months time as the game looks great, in short an un-polished gem thats been put up for sale due to laziness
Decrease the scaling of the bad guys or give more gold to work with. Game feels like hard difficultly permanently. Cool possibilities but not worth trying so many attempts
