I bought this game when it released but didn't start playing until 10 years later. It took me a few sessions to complete it and wow, what a great game! I loved the story and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Very good story overall

I'm 40. This is one of the most intense an emotional games I have played. It's up there with HL2. I don't typically reinstall games much, but this is one of those I have to keep coming back to.
The story and atmosphere are phenomenal, but I didn't like the gameplay. I really like the way the story/plot is slowly revealed as the game goes on, and I was blown away by the visual/audio quality. But the gameplay boils down to walking from room to room, picking up items, flipping switches, and trying not to be seen by any creepy entities. For me personally, this was engaging for a while but eventually started to just feel tedious. Overall, I'm not sure whether to recommend this game, but I'm giving a thumbs-up since the overall quality is really good.
