Reviews
Gameplay was unengaging and I felt like I was wandering around aimlessly.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's not my fault people keep killing themselves!
Well-designed game, but the gameplay felt tedious to me. This was my first horror game, so that probably affected my expectations. I mostly play action games for the challenge and the satisfaction of overcoming difficult encounters. Without that, I'd rather experience a story through a movie or a book. If you enjoy atmospheric games that tell their story through notes, audio logs, environmental storytelling, and cutscenes, this is likely worth your time.
10/10 Зашёл за хоррор выживанием с тентаклями, вышел с экзистенциальным кризисом
Spoiler warning!! So I stumbled onto SOMA through a documentary-style video by YouTuber BeamBuddy. About 36 minutes in, I knew I had to play it myself - not because of any crazy gameplay mechanics or action, but because of how detailed and story-focused it clearly was. It didn't need spectacle. It was just... beautiful, in the way it made you want to explore and learn about what was happening. What's happening? Simon (the mc) goes in for a brain scan. When he wakes up, he's completely alone, not in a hospital room, but somewhere unrecognizable, with no idea what happened in between. Seems like he is the only survivor left, and the only way forward is to piece together what happened and find some kind of human contact. The atmosphere is where SOMA does its heaviest lifting. The world is eerie and calming at the same time - full of beautiful detail, but underneath that beauty is a slow-building horror about what's actually happened to Earth since Simon's scan. It doesn't need to shout to unsettle you; it just needs you to look around.
The core of the game is Simon trying to find out what happened to everyone - and along the way he finds Catherine, another human survivor... or is she 0.0? Together they work toward launching something called the ARK: a device holding brain scans of everyone connected to the ARK project, built to simulate a real world. No physical body, nothing tangible - more like a dream — but it feels extremely real.
The gameplay no big action fantasy here. You explore, you search, you push forward toward launching the ARK - all while hiding and evading the dangerous creatures left behind by the ARK project. The gameplay stays out of the way of the story, which is exactly what it should do. For the music personally, I had to play with the volume down - the ambient sound design is lowk scary. But the music is beautiful, and in the chase sequences specifically, it adapts to what's happening in real time. It doesn't just underscore the tension - it puts you in it. You're literally right there with Simon. The visuals... straight up beautiful, extremely detailed. It has that distinct Source-engine feel, but still manages to feel graphically impressive for the style it's working in. I went in expecting a creepy-but-peaceful exploration game and wasn't sure about the monster-chase side of it. It worked anyway. Honestly, I have zero complaints about this game. Who should play this? People who want a story-focused game, people who like to take their time, read, and actually explore. Final Verdict! I'd put SOMA next to RDR2 for storytelling, and God of War for character development. It's such a masterpiece I genuinely can't give it a fair 10/10... I want to rate it higher, but the scale doesn't go that far!!!

Performance: 10/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Story: 999/10
Well when my friend gifted me this game to try, i was really sceptical didnt like the start, didnt like the "machine-monsters" etc. O boy am i glad i gave it a try and kept playing! Even at my bad prediciton of this game! Story was all worth it, i love this genre, loved it all that was created to this masterpiece! I got a few hours where i was so in to it, it felt like i was reading a book and was there experiencing it first hand! 10/10 Gameplay was a solid 7/10 pretty simple and useful. Graphics i will judge it for the release date not 2026 when i played it! Even 11 years later it looks darn good! 10/10 So at the moment the game is on sale -80% i think it is worth even the full price! So this is a steal deal! Highly recommended! Cheers!
A deeply existential and somber horror game that leaves you questioning your own existence. Recommended.
