Encountered this game for the first time at Magfest January 2019 IIRC. Spoke with the devs and composer and thanked them so much for sharing this experience. It moved me greatly and is so atmospheric and immersive. A great short story, heavenly music, and plenty of secrets all create a journey that has plenty of replay value. I can't wait to play this game to the fullest extent. Do yourselves a favor, support these devs, and add this to your library or send it to a friend!

This game is horrible. Graphics suck. Movement is clunky. I spent 20 minutes flying my light around a cave with absolutely no sense that I was accomplishing anything before getting motion sickness and turning it off.

This is not a puzzle game. It is purely a walking simulator with horrible controls.

人魂みたいな光球を操り、廃墟となった都市を探索するウォーキング？シミュレータ。 画面は光球を追うTPS視点。光球は地を這うように浮遊し、ジャンプや加速はできない。移動速度はそこそこ速いが慣性がつき、壁に近づくと視点が狭まるなど操作には若干癖がある。私はキーボード＋マウスでクリアしたが、パッドのほうが微細な操作はしやすいかも。 背景はローポリで、水彩画のようなざらついた色彩が特徴。実際のゲーム画面はスクリーンショットよりやや暗め。光球が通過すると遺跡に火が灯り、草木が蘇っていく様子が面白い。 全体的は画面は暗め、ステージも無駄に広く展開は単調。所々にある古代文字を除きテキストは一切なし、謎解きも簡単なパズルが数カ所程度。隠されたシンボルを探すやりこみ要素もあり。 ステージあたり30分～１時間、全クリアには3時間程度。セーブは自動だが、ステージ途中でのセーブには対応していないようなので注意。 画面のわりに動作は若干重め。起動のたびに解像度設定が初期化されてしまうなどのバグもあり。 ゲームは淡々と進み攻略は簡単、ホラー要素やシビアなアクションもなし。画面は暗めですが、荒涼とした雰囲気に浸れる癒し系のウォーキングシムです。

Atmospheric puzzle exploration game. Reminded me of Journey a lot. Great music.

**Use of a controller is HIGHLY recommended** The combination of colour, flowing movement, "soulful" electronic drone and a musical stunning score combine to make Sole a meditative, lonely yet beautiful experience. There is some "light" puzzling to work through and an ancient alphabet to collect which can be used to translate the writings found scattered throughout the game levels. Translating the writings was a lot of fun for me as many give small insights into the creation of the game, while others are simple messages from the team. While it is easy to get glitched between stones/crystals/etc... (especially the river run), it is also easy to restart the level as this usually happens in smaller clips. If you enjoy the feeling of loneliness, soulfulness and the atmosphere these create, then you will likely enjoy Sole. Rating 4/5 (1 pt held back for glitches and inability to collect the last achievement).
