About
From the creators of Solasta: Crown of the Magister comes another intriguing tactical RPG faithful to the world's most popular TTRPG's ruleset.

Create and guide your party of 4 adventurers as they head to the faraway continent of Neokos in a quest driven by their family legacy. In the face of the threat by the ancient and enigmatic Shadwyn, what choices will you make to push back the impending tide of corruption?
Solasta II is a grand sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister, a much beloved Tactical RPG known for its faithfulness to the Tabletop experience. Decades after defeating the Sorak menace, a new flegdling party of heroes travels to distant lands in search for redemption.

Solasta II remains true to its promise to deliver gameplay based on the world's most popular TTRPG. Prepare your spells, land that sneak attack, smite this monster - bathe in the familiarity of your Tabletop experience.
But that's not all Solasta II will have to offer. This new opus will also allow you to freely roam the lands of Neokos, to explore and uncover the map as you will. Whether you stick to familiar roads, or head off into the wilderness... The choice is yours. Just be careful - because as we've always said...
You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.

Reviews
If you've ever wanted a video game that actually respects Dungeons & Dragons rules — not "inspired by," not "loosely based on," but genuinely enforces them — Solasta II is your game. Spell slots matter. Positioning matters. Flanking matters. The grid-based movement is chef's kiss, rewarding tactical minds and punishing those who just spam attack like it's a mobile clicker. Objectives are clear, class customization is deep, and — be still my heart — character alignment is back and it means something. Lawful Good? Chaotic Evil? You can actually play it. That alone earns a standing ovation. So yes, the bones are excellent. Now let's talk about... the face. The character creator is where things get humbling. The developers promised faces on par with Baldur's Gate 3. Reader, they are not. BG3 has set the bar so high it practically lives in orbit, and Solasta II's character faces are still firmly earthbound — sometimes underground. Telling male and female characters apart can feel like a guessing game, and the slider interface is clunkier than a goblin in full plate armor. A game in 2025 should let you make a hero who looks like a hero, not a medieval NPC who witnessed something unspeakable. Keep it simple: give us clearly defined options, clean aesthetics, no identity politics muddying the waters. That era is over. Players just want to make cool-looking characters — man, woman, or monster — without a sociology lecture attached. The immersion issues don't stop at the character screen. Once you're in the world, interactable items feel sparse and oddly stubborn — you'll click on something that clearly should be pickable and get nothing. The dialogue system, while decent, doesn't seem to pull on your alignment thread the way it should. Your Chaotic Neutral rogue can apparently chat like a paladin with zero consequence. Missed opportunity. Movement — both your characters' and the camera's — needs some love. The camera handles like a shopping cart with a wonky wheel, and character locomotion occasionally looks like they're skating on invisible ice. For a game that nails tactical positioning, it's a bit ironic that actually moving feels unpolished. Graphics overall are good — not bad, genuinely decent — but "decent" next to the current competition starts feeling like showing up to a dinner party in a tracksuit. A visual bump across the board would do wonders, because the world has potential and deserves to be shown off properly. The verdict: Solasta II is a genuinely great tactical RPG for D&D lovers, and the rule implementation alone makes it worth recommending to the right audience. But it's playing in the same league as Baldur's Gate 3 now, whether it wants to or not — and on presentation, interface polish, and reactive storytelling, it still has ground to cover. The foundation is strong. The house just needs some serious renovation. Not Recommended Yet — with a to-do list for the devs before flipping to Recommended.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

While I do see potential on it, there some aspects that leave a lot to be desired even on an early release. Pros: ++ Combat is satisfying and well implemented. ++ Voice acting is good (even though it's off sync with the animation) ++ Weapons and armors graphics are good Cons: -- Environment exploration is bland. Caer Mar itself has nothing interesting going on, you get into a tavern and nothing... There's a cave overflowing with some blue "magic weave", weird statues aaaand nothing... The very first places you explore should peak your interest but it didn't hook me. -- Itemization is bland as well from what I've played -- Facial animations are weird, off sync and quite often the characters look like that they have cleft lips and teeth look off as well.
Trying to make a masculine character is nearly impossible. The faces are all feminine and the body times are not very heroic to say the least. Basically made a party of the most unimpressive batch of adventurers you'd ever seen. I don't know a single person built like that. Seems like they're all clinching cherries between their cheeks. Couldn't get into the game at all because I was distracted the entire time by how unappealing my character and the rest of my party looked.
Played through available levels (1-4) There were things to love & to see the potential in, but there are foundational issues with the characterization & story: What deity does my cleric serve? In an (already voice-acted) cutscene he acts indifferent about faith. He's devoted his life to serving a god but never mentions religion. There are general feats that mention the creeds of different gods, but they're each just bland ability score buffs, one god for each ability. Only 6-7 gods and 2 of them are gods of justice/law for some reason. No "evil" gods, no nature gods, all just shades of paladin beige. Upon being transported by a god to a land we've never seen before, we start out by ambushing some plant people for some reason. No negotiation attempted, no apparent way to sneak around. I guess they were the wrong type of humanoid. Bad luck for them. Speaking of humanoids, those weird golems we killed earlier are called Siklas & they ARE people? The ones we don't kill on sight & instead welcome into our city as quirky neighbors glow slightly differently. Our sister just stormed off after denouncing her god to it's face, but everyone we talk to acts like they've known her for years and that she's just like, some nice lady. Making her name be a common one in a distant land our characters never heard of is a confusing choice of plot point. I wouldn't recommend buying it yet unless you just want to support early development. Not quite ready for EA.
I know that it's just hitting early access, but it isn't stable enough at this point for me to recommend buying it. I'll reassess after a few patches. Pros: * Story seems fine * Fidelity to D&D 5.5e systems and feel * Encounter design is fun so far Cons: * Constant stuttering during cutscenes * Intermittent stuttering during gameplay * Multiple Unreal Engine Crashes when trying to reload saves
DISCLAIMER: This game is in beta phase. As of AUG2026: the campaign is 10h long; max level is 4; there are 6 playable classes (with multiclassing) and 4 races; there is no way to respec mid-campaign. Only buy this game now if you want to support the devs (both financially and by reporting bugs/new features). REVIEW: I have high hopes for this game. After completing the available content, I can confidently say that Solasta 2 has all the cards necessary to become another iconic CRPG. I am a huge fan of the D&D 2024 PHB and this game implements the changes faithfully. There are still plenty of rough edges, but the foundations are in place. If you are here after completing BG3 multiple times like myself, chances are you will be both delighted and disappointed. THE GOOD: -Combat feels more well rounded than BG3: Fights are longer; Positioning is more important; Buffs and debuffs are more impactful; Martial classes have more to do; Less reliance on nova turns; Less need to build around a single spell or attack; Action UI is cleaner and easier to navigate than BG3. -Lots of random events: When roaming around the map, you will come across many randomised events. This is a huge plus in terms of replayability. Despite the story following a linear path like BG3, the day-to-day gameplay will vary a lot between campaigns. NOTE: This is not an open world game. Each tile in the world map is its own closed off area. Random encounters may be combat or quest-related, or just minor text-based storytelling (akin to a tabletop D&D session). THE BAD -Bugs: There are quite a lot of bugs, the worst of which being "target not sensed" during combat. There were multiple occasions where some of my characters could not target enemies or allies, rendering them practically useless for the entirety of the combat encounter (save for self-casting and AOE spells). This can and will cause a party wipe. As far as I understand, it's a quirk with UE5, and enemies can also be affected by the bug. There is also another big bug I encountered towards the end of the run. I revived two of my party members after they died in combat, but they stayed at 0HP. After a long rest they died again. I ended up having to roll back a few saves to fix it. On top of these, there are still a bunch of minor visual glitches. -Optimisation: Due to UE5, the game is still poorly optimised. I had to turn off AMD FSR, framegen and motion blur to not make it look like garbage. Played on Epic at 1440p and, even then, some textures and models showed clear lack of polish. -Writing and acting: In this department, BG3 is (expectedly) miles ahead. Most characters in Solasta 2 feel flat and the writing is very stale and barebones. CONCLUSION I wholeheartedly believe the devs will improve this game drastically in the coming months. Despite the downsides, I had a great time. If you buy this game now, tamper your expectations. Treat it more like a playtest and report bugs to support development. They have done a great job with Solasta COTM and clearly care a lot about this project.
