So far this game is a huge improvement from the first game, BUT the characters (main) look crazy compared to every other character in the game so far. I understand the character creator is a work in progress, and there is soon to be an update. Their head seem to low on their bodies/no neck symptom, especially for women. I am glad sliders are coming I just home it also addresses this. For those complaining about so much time spent on character creator, I don't know if you have played this game very much, or have ever played the first one. THERE ARE A LOT OF CINNEMATICS FOR YOUR CHARACTERS TO BE IN FOR THEM TO LOOK BAD/FUNNY. The second complaint I see is people mad that the Mains are related, they are not blood, they are Orphans so they are "family". It is a good pivot for the story on why you know each other. Voice acting is a major improvement for the first game, and the only issue was the MAINS anyway. I love Solasta from letting you create all the party members. Really looking forward to updates.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has huge potential but as of right now at $40 USD price point, I would say hold off. Since it is early access the game is bare bones and needs a lot work. I understand that but it seems like they should have waited longer before releasing in early access. Cut scenes are choppy and just brutal to sit through. Performance is just lacking for mid to low tier pcs. I have to put everything on low setting and dlss on performance just to have smooth gameplay. Speaking of gameplay, the combat mechanics are great just like the first game. Voice acting is better, the character creator is better, obviously the graphics got a major overhaul and I like the art work. Walking through a colorful forest or a lively town really feels immersive. But two major issues I have with this game is one, the lack of a dungeon creator. The devs said probably not possible in the unreal engine that they switched to. That's huge, when I think of Solasta, the first thing that comes to my mind is the dungeon creator. That gave the first game it's charm. We don't have a tabletop dnd video game where you can create campaigns, one shots, dungeons, etc. to share. Solasta had that and the steam workshop allowed us to share and download with a click of a button. This is a huge loss and I don't know if trading that for better graphics, voice acting, and story is worth it. I guess we will find out. The second is pacing. The first game was plagued with pacing problems that just slowed down the momentum of the game. Every dialogue has multiple choice options but you have to select every option to move forward. What is the point of selecting each option? Just make it a cut scene. There is also no skip all dialogue button that other games do when you hold a button in. Plus if you play multiplayer, now everyone has to vote on a dialogue option that is meanless because you have to select every option. This comes up again in travel where a pop up comes up, gives info and then everyone has to select an option. Well the only option is to leave. Why do we need to select it? Why can't we have a setting where the host controls this and we can move the game along. The first game had a terrible pacing issue and the second game looks to repeat that mistake. I do want to point out that increasing the walking speed is a huge plus. Final Verdict - Huge potential right now, but a lot more work needs to get done. Not knowing if this game will have a dungeon maker along with the pacing issues that slow down gameplay, really makes this hard to recommend, especially at a $40 USD price point.
With almost 5 hours of gameplay and I still do not know what the story is even meant to be. This just left me bord of the game.
真丑
There are so many issues with the game, I don't even know where to start. Even allowing for EA, this game crossed from interesting to frustrating. I suppose with the reason I uninstalled; An enemy became stuck under the floor and could not attack or be attacked, causing an infinite combat situation. On reload of the previous 4(!) autosaves, where the enemy was not previously stuck, it was now under the floor. As this was a very long fight in the Hearth against undead, this was just the last straw. During this same encounter, I had already had to reload because one of the companions died, and though I had a scroll of revivify and an aether pill, neither would revive the character. Reloading fixed that issue, but that was when the enemy loaded in stuck under the floor. I will note that this game is running on the latest edition of the 5E SRD. There are significant changes from the original 5E. I am personally not a fan of 5E, and the latest version just drives that home for me. The graphics themselves were not terrible, giving it leeway for EA. The Character Creation however, is an ugly mess. I have tried both the presets, and using the customization options, and was unable to create a character that didn't look weird in one way or another. Dwarves come out looking like ugly gnomes. Human and Elven models look somewhat better, but the Female characters look strange and the Male characters ugly and effeminate. The story is very bare-bones, and is very choppy. What I mean there is that what is happening and what, or why, something is said don't match up. Cutscenes are all over the place, with facial animation showing anger in moments when anger isn't expressed, and voice-lines not in sync with the animation. Statements are made that seemingly have no context, like there was supposed to be a lead in that isn't there. It's overall very Angsty as well, in a 90's goth-emo diary kind of way. I found the voice acting of several characters overdone, and out of place for the setting. There is also a Family Role mechanic that is introduced, where each of the characters you pick/create is assigned a specific role like "Golden Child" and "Scapegoat". Apparently dialogue and skill checks are supposed to be assigned based of these roles, but as of this time they are not. They seem to be randomly chosen from among your party atm, without taking into account if it fits the role assigned. Who uses skills and when can be frustrating as well. I thought the tutorials said the character with the correct skill would be chosen when a skill check was needed. However, in practice whatever character you have leading around the others makes the check, regardless of skill. As there is no formation options, you chose one of your party to move and the rest just follow behind. So I usually had the rogue leading to find traps and hidden things, or the fighter to soak enemy ambushes. But there are instances where you interact with a item or background, without any context, that results in skill checks. If your mage or cleric has the skill or proficiency but isn't selected to lead...then whoever is makes the check. Sometimes its obvious or there is context to switch characters, sometimes there isn't any. Sometimes you're just clicking to move the party forward and make a mistake that fails a check. There are a lot of smaller bugs and design choices that make playing this game just frustrating overall. I cannot recommend this game at this time, and honestly unless they make serious story fixes I don't think I'll reinstall the game after release.
When i played Solasta 1 i thought the terrible character models are due to lack of budget. Now i start to suspect it is more of an artistic choice. Apart from the game failing to start numerous times, i am just baffled by the absolute BLANDNESS of the character generator. It seems that the tools are there, but however i might try all that i can create are some androgenic vanilla unoffensive templates that have no character to them. If i would have bought the game from steam i would refund it at this point.
I love D&D, Pillars of Eternity, and BG3 and I bought this game on a whim and I wanna say the first thing I struggled with is the character creator. I can't lie, the PCs in this game are ugly. It's really hard to make a female character who doesn't look like a combination of cracked out, asian, or trans/manly jaw. The combat is fun though.
好玩。不过目前还没看到Z轴出现。1代的时候,真的被Z轴惊艳。 没遇到任何BUG。 除了人物确实太普通了之外,确实好玩。 请制作组提高自己的审美能力,不要被等待死亡的DEI绑架。
There's definitely potential here, but it also makes you appreciate how well Baldur's Gate 3 handled its adaptation of 5e. The changes to the ruleset feel like steps backward rather than meaningful improvements, and the sheer number of bugs makes the game difficult to enjoy. It feels like it needed several more months of development before being released, even into early access.
