About
Created and written by lifelong fans of Pen & Paper RPGs, comes Solasta: Crown of the Magister.
Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
An Epic Team Adventure
Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm - and stop it from happening again.
Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition. Breathe life into your heroes, and see their personalities reflected in their dialogue. Tailor your squad to your preferred strategy and maximize your party's abilities. The choice is yours.
Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Dungeon Maker
In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find – down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing – everything is decided by you.

Sorry my fault I should have done more research before buying. I HATE Puzzles and Mazes !! So game is not for me.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I am writing this review after playing the base game. A lot of people gives good insight in other comments, and the thumbs up / down will depend completely on what you are up to tolerate. For me the amount of hours played has already paid of the cost in euros. Pros System is classic DnD 5e so if you are looking for familiarity you got it. Good implementation of spells, actions and effects but not exceptional. Voice lines were cool, appreciate the dubbing effort. I loved seeing my characters interact with each other as they came from other campaigns and after selecting their traits their manners were relatable. Personality / alignment system is simple and reflects on the conversation and character comments well. Traditional fantasy. You actually get to use the crafting system. The scavenger system works, is true, you don't need to add everything to your inventory to sell it afterwards. Ver thoughtful. Cons Railroading a lot (not that I care to be honest, I preferred it that way). Not real character development. Not really doable as all characters are custom and somewhat open. You might get a mini-quest and one or two dialogue options related to them through the game. No NPC development except for one. Story plot is difficult to tie and follow, cutscenes felt incomplete and sometimes came from nowhere. Is as if you were constantly missing context. Models are very very ugly. I thought the game was from 2005, maybe 2015. Its from 2021. Dragons and faces were specially ugly. Sorry dragons. Inventory becomes difficult to manage.

Was It Good? 2.5/5 Did I Like It? 2/5 Don't accept this review entirely, play it for yourself if you like your isometric turn-based RPGs. There's a good, supportive community out there and there are really good parts to this game. But it's slow to play, and just so clunky and rough around the edges. I can only see the developer get better though and can't wait for Solasta 2.
Playing Coop and we are constantly getting freezes in mid fights, spent 20 minutes on fight and then the other player gets a freeze in the game and we have to start over, i cant believe this
The game's plot is dull and uninteresting, but the combat system is very true to 5e. If might not find this enjoyable alone, but it's HILARIOUS when playing with friends. It's the same feeling as watching a bad movie on purpose, with otherwise decent gameplay. Would highly recommend getting it if it's on sale, but I did also buy this at full price for a couple of my friends just to play with them.
After playing Solasta 2, I've enjoyed their take on the whole dnd 5.5e system, and the story. I wanted to give their older release a chance, as I often do with other studios. I have not previously played the game, only viewing short clips of the gameplay and some reviews. I dismissed the game at the time, for the lack of engaging content. It resembled a more stripped down version of Neverwinter Nights in my mind. This review will be critical as it was AAA priced, with all the DLCS, and nearly 100$ if it wasn't on sale. So, I decided to give it a fair chance, as I was proven wrong with Solasta 2 being suprisingly good. This ended up being a mistake. From my short time playing this game, I felt no impact in the story, and the narrative was extremely bland. I cannot say this game felt interesting, or fun at any point. It felt like dragging a wheelbarrow with the missing wheel up a bumpy hill. Usually for games, I care nothing about how they look, and while the game doesn't look "bad", it certainly doesn't inspire any confidence with realism and asthetics for the environments. It looked like "what is the quickest way to get this done", then stopping abruptly. You're left with everything half baked. I have played a lot of Neverwinter Nights custom campaigns, where I never encountered these problems. I don't see why someone would pay to play this over something like "Swordflight", "Aielund Saga", or "The Prophet" from Neverwinter Nights. In those campaigns, there's one developer, so there's no excuses for this. If one person can setup a "realistic" semi-cinematic plot in a game released 20 years before your game, whilst still feel fun and interesting, then it is a you problem. Budget wasn't constrained for the hundreds of those I played, as they were solo passion projects. I haven't touched the DLC, nor do I want to. It is a miracle how Solasta 2 differs from this. Maybe they hired a writer, or contracted one out. However, nothing from what I witnessed here inspires confidence with their sequel. It really amazes me why this has such a high rating on steam...
my feelings towards this game are strange, the dialogue is pretty bad and feels very stilted at times, the main plot is very rushed, there are very few meaningful side quests and the overall game play is pretty repetitive however honestly even with all that had a great time playing it the combat is my favourite type of combat in games and I had a good time with this game would i go saying its one of the best games ever no but its easy and enjoyable to play if u don't take it too seriously
